  1. The record company need to make sure that everybody is on the same page with this single release. Everything seemed a bit messed up last time, the promotion was scattered, they had problems with MLWSWY falling... I just hope this time that everything goes to plan.
  2. Fantastic performace, although I hope this doesn't mean the promotion is all going to come really early.

  4. Exciting news, shes a great performer, and hopefully I'll be seeing her again :)
  5. Its obviously not a flop, but as many have pointed out its not the recession thats hitting this either. I actually agree mainly with Kelly, when she says that IDNHU is a poor single choice. It certainly sounds radio friendly, and it is, shown by its peak on the CHR in the US, however, its not a track that inspires iTunes downloads, or album buys, mainly because of its lacking originality. I also think, despite its great message, it alienates a lot of potential listeners. It borders, in my opinion, on being slightly juvenile. The situation is, Kelly lost a lot of ground with My December, and she needs to work hard to put herself firmly back on the map. She did that with MLWSWY, it was a #1 hit as we all know, sold well, and initially the album got off to a good start, but I think she's slipping with IDNHU, she needs to go for something contemporary, something slightly different for her, and most importantly with mass appeal. Already Gone, for me, appears to be that track, and hopefully will spur some album sales. I know that many people want other choices, but for this project, whose aim I think is to firmly supplant Kelly in the contemporary pop music scene, needs to have a 4th single choice as Don't Let Me Stop You. It goes back to Kellys original routes, and whilst its nothing new or groundbreaking, it has mass appeal and sounds relatively fresh considering its tried and tested frame. Kelly can take a few more risks on the next record, if she's put herself back firmly where she needs to be, but until then, I think its straight forward single choices. In conclusion, All I Ever Wanted has the potential to be big worldwide seller, but she needs to release the tracks that are going to let her sell in large quantities, and I think 2nd single IDNHU has failed to do that,
  6. I really can't see them releasing Cry over Already Gone, although I guess they could be testing it in the UK market, so they could see how it could do in the USA.

Some dark music, with a MD theme would be great, but I don't know if it would be great to stray from this pop image she's re-creating. That said New Moon could do wonders for her.

  9. Kelly has been saying its the 3rd single for a while now, but we all know what artists are like when confirming single choices. I think this is a bit premature anyway, so I'm going to lock the thread until we've got official confirmation, and a future release date.
  10. Fantastic performances on both, and its nice to see her promoting the singles like the Breakaway era.

  12. I like some of David's music but I'm not sure he's enough of an 'it' singer at the moment, if Kelly were to duet with someone, I'd much rather it be with Daughtry who I guess will be huge around the release of their 2nd album, I suspect that this will happen aswell, considering it was rumoured a while ago.
  13. Can someone explain the huge drop in the Sweedish chart, I've only just noticed it and find it quite interesting? Oh and as this single is pretty much over and we're moving to IDNHU, this is unpinned, and replaced with the new single.
  14. IDNHU is making fantastic gains on US radio, a really positive sign :) I don't really like the song being pushed back, its going to leave a gap between singles, and I'd rather at the moment Kelly have a bit of a continuous place at radio and on the UK chart [a bit like Lady GaGa], which would mean continued sales.
  15. I think she'll land at #2 on Sunday, U2 performed on CR and will get a boost, as did Annie Lennox although I dont think she'll have enough momentum to take #2 from Kelly.
  16. I would've thought a higher peak in Ireland.
  17. 1. My Life Would Suck Without You 2. I Do Not Hook Up 3. Already Gone 4. Don't Let Me Stop You 5. Cry It wouldn't surprise me if they went 6 singles deep, in which case If I Can't Have You would be the final choice.
  18. Hows everyone doing this weekend then?
  19. Fantastic chart stats for the song, and pretty healthy sales. It'll likely fall to #3 this week though, and I'm not sure she'll get the UK #1 album due to U2's huge debut, but it'll be a healthy debut non-the-less.
  20. Its closing in on Gaga from what I can tell, considering the gap there was at the beginning. I'm worried about the competition from Taylor Swift, but all will be that will be I guess.
  21. TYPICAL THAT I LOSE MY INTERNET CONNECTION THIS WEEKEND. I have only just got back to uni where I've got the internet again, I'm on All I Ever Wanted, so really behind with the conversations here so far. LOVED Cry, and I Do Not Hook Up seems to be the perfect second single. Her vocals are really quite something.
  22. Awesome gains over the past 2 days, really picking up the steam that I wondered if it was losing. Seemingly look like a lock for the top5, and then hopefully #1!
  23. Album sounds awesome. Cry sounds like an extremely powerful and emotive song, it'll be interesting to see which of the songs will be singles.
  24. Whilst I agree Taylor Swift is far more credible than Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, I'm fairly certain that they write their songs too, so surely its more that MC and JB are backed and promoted by Disney, giving them a stronger child fan base perhaps making them less credible. Although it shouldn't be said that Taylor Swifts key demographic is teen, but she has the potential to spill over in to old age groups, perhaps giving the credibility factor a boost?
  25. Thanks for the updates whenever you can do them, I dont think anyone expects you to do them daily :)
