But she did promote the album in its initial weeks state side. She made quite a few appearences, singing both Never Again and Sober, even appearing on American Idol's finale, which did very little for the album. Sure the album is going to get a better response, theoretically, in the USA, but look at some of the past winners and finalists; Ruben Studdard - Dropped after 3 albums for lackluster sales and chart related activity Jordin Sparks - Sure her singles are doing fantastically, and she isn't going to be dropped, but her album debuted and peaked at #10, not great for a winner's debut! Fantasia Barrino - Her sophmore effort stalled at #20 on the charts, and although it went gold, its not the best is it? All Im saying is that Kelly needs to be careful, being a winner of idol doesnt mean she will be protected for ever from being dropped. She needs to be worth the investment as it is, she needs to have some chart success and continued sales, something she may alienate by being to artistically free.

Even so, its quite marvellous!! Yes indeed have fun Frank, although Im sure you'll be mid show by now!

I see what your saying and totally agree about Sober, although I think NA, DWYT and OM [along with HIF] and the most melodic, and catchy tracks on the album. Songs with these ingredients need to be released to spur album sales. Tracks like Be Still and probably Haunted [even though the song is quite amazing] wouldnt have sold the album becuase they aren't radio friendly, and won't help album figures. Sure NA managed to get Kelly a top 2 placing on both sides of the Atlantic, although it couldn't sustain anything but DWYT was not promoted at all, and therefore had very little effect on album sales. One Minute was never really released, other than in Australia where it had a limited release, but still they didn't help album figures. In my opinion if these couldn't do the job, then the project was pretty much doomed since its release.

Yeah although that time of year is a hard time for artists, sure if you debut well, you get loads of sales, but based on the poor reception to MD I think it could be hard for Kelly, without a killer first single, to debut well in the UK. Im sure she'll do well in the US though.

Yeah she was given two performances for promotional appearences, and she chosse BIT, possibly because its got a chance of a US release, and its a different sound to BL...

Yeah, apparently the person who has leaked a 30s clip of another track is a Brazillian Girl who is refusing to leak anything else, I dont know how true this is though?! Side note, has everyone got the HQ versions of Bye Bye and That Chick? I might be really behind, But I just found them!
