Yes I agree, a re-hash would not be as successful, but you have to consider, very few albums, in the US, are getting past 3x Platinum, so a Breakaway levelled album would be unprecidented!
  2. Which I personally will enjoy, although it may alienate some of her fans.

Its good off one single, but very disappointing as far as Kelly's past sales have gone... Oh well you win some, you lose some.

Although she is rapidly catching up... her main competition will be Mariah Carey who is digitally released next week
  6. Depends if it was removed from the chart because it was going recurrent [e.g. it was on the chart for a long time, Im not sure of the time period, its a year I think, and never fell below 50]. If not then it will re-chart I think, much like Dixie Chicks Not Ready To Make Nice, which fell off the chart at its normal time of release, but re-entered following its Grammy success.

Slightly off topic, but thanks for sharing!
  8. Hello Frank, and congratulations on your placing as co-mod with me! :D
  9. Greatest Hits after 3 albums can be very premature, but sometimes when an artist is planning to take a break from music for a while can help to bride the gap between original material. I do agree that many people release them prematurely, Hilary Duff releasing one at 20! Some people are contractually bound to release them I think, like Mandy Moore [Released after she was dropped from the record Label], Anastacia [in her contract that was about to expire] and many others Im sure.
  10. I do agree Kelly that she could get some backlash from the US for trying to breach Carrie Underwood territory, and that her international career would be well and truly and the spiral down, but I just think she wouldn't put out a great or satisfying album if she stuck to the Breakaway theme.

At least its gone Platinum, although it took its time... Shame it will go no further.

Another Breakaway wouldn't be horrible, it might put her back in the current market, but I think it would be far mroe satisfying to hear a different sound.
  13. Oh god your so lucky Natalie!!!
  14. Behind These Hazel Eyes
  15. Im reckoning it will be more like country rock, than country pop tbh...
  16. Never Again is a great track, with a really good video... Im not sure there are many viable options for first single tbh, other than this.

MD looks to be well and completely dead now.
  18. Very well said Frank, I completely respect Kelly for putting something out there that was a bit different to her previous efforts.

Country is something that I really would like to see Kelly experiment with in the future, whether or not its quite the time, with international markets and such, I'm not really sure to be honest. Pop/Rock would be the biggest seller obviously, with her past successes with Breakaway, however I don't think it would be as artistically satisfying to either her, or her fans to have another Breakaway album churned out. I therefore vote Country! :D
  20. I totally agree, I find the country-rock genre to be an exciting and compelling area of music, quite often overlooked by people, especially people 21 and under, who quite often see it as a dated genre, that their parents listen to. Fair enough their parents may listen to country music, but its country music of a different era. I'm quite sure that their parents listen to pop music of the 70's, yet their children still listen to pop music. Country is a genre that is widely expanding, for the past two years its been the only genre thats managed to build on its Year On Year sales, or at least suffer the smallest decline, and also put out some of the biggest selling albums of the year [Carrie Underwood - Some Hearts/Carnival Ride, Rascal Flatts - Me And My Gang, Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift], so I really do think Kelly becoming involved in this genre is a hugely exciting prospect and puts a whole new slant on her career.
  21. Yeah I personally agree with most others in this thread who've expressed doubt that Kelly could do a Nickleback at the moment. My December, good album or not, has too much bad publicity to really regain its honour now, so she just needs to come back with new material and hopefully shock all her critics into silence!
  22. You Thought Wrong - great choice, I usually overlook it to be honest, but recently I discovered it's a fantastic song to listen to when your just angry!
  23. Merged the two tour topics to make it easier to find information about the tour! But really can't wait now, its really soon!

Re-added how weird, although possibly to coincide with the tour.
  25. Doubt your going to get sounds like BTHE if its country influenced Tyler!
