I agree in that MD is an amazing album, and hope that she at least has something more commercial on the next album that makes it sell well... However i do doubt the validity of this article. It says that Jordin Sparks is working on her follow up, when she only just released her first! The only way I see this being true is if they are writing songs, potentially for another record, which Kelly has said she has been doing. I personally don't see new Kelly material until late 2008 at the earliest.

Valid point and I totally agree with you Jack. I think because of the commercial failure in the USA, the label have been far more reserved with their releases globally, possibly because of the major similarities to the US and UK music scenes. However there is one major difference between the two in that the UK are far more welcoming of new sounds that the USA, and I think that the MD would have been far more successful and well received if, like you said, the label had been a bit more daring with their releases. Sober is a good example, because it failed on US radio twice, whereas I think it would be a great and well received UK single. Who knows, but I think the label cut their loses short, and as effect have discredited and tarnished Kelly's career somewhat.

I like the fact that people are actually including MD tracks on their hybroid albums.

Gone appears to be an unreleased gem from Breakaway!

MD is amazing lyrically, and I think in terms of major fans, its also a fantastic album. However, to the casual fan, or radio listeners, I don't think it has that something that makes it grab attention, hence explaining its limited success.

Interesting choices you two! I find it interesting how you both put AMLT as one of your main choices.

I would love to see her do a recording with someone like Anastacia, but I'm not sure if their voices would blend though. Leona could also be an interesting paring.

I honestly can't see a release for anything from MD now. DWYT was released to video stations and such, but nothing really took off did it, its unlikely it will the 2nd time. And by all accordances the next album is going to be Country orientated, which doesnt sound great from a UK music scene prospective.

Sober is still my favourite, and that has been since the releasee of the album... However I find DWYT to be a stand out on the album too.
