I hadn't seen a single mention of this song on BJ or anywhere until it started shooting up itunes. and now people are buying it just because its shooting up iTunes! :wacko: A list of all available versions and mixes from different sites would be great if anyone super knowledgable can be bothered! Was so good to hear it in CD quality for the 1st time :D

#2 physical on HMV? What no1 like? They've been top preorder for this release week for like a month and they should beat dizzee (and kanye et al obviously) on the physical side. Good to see they are essentially ahead of them everywhere but iTunes where they're pretty neck and neck. Downloaded the album cut on sun as i couldn't wait but got my physical today! Prob buy another as a gift and download the extra remix iTunes has so that should give sales a wee boost. Is there any other versions/remixes exclusive to other sites or do iTunes have them all this time? Ps- Like my wee GS poster, been a while since they bothered with any thing like this :D

From memory Girls 1st week sale was around 17k (or 27k if we count physical release week as 1st wee ). It never climbed higher than #3 on itunes. Single sales are 30-40% bigger than this time last year, GS is getting a combined release which tends to increase 1st week sales and they're already 2 on itunes so i'm hoping for more than double what Girls shifted! they need to clear 80k!

Is #10 by 1.15pm a fast climb? I don't read this thread enough to know, but how does it compare to former no1s and how long they took to climb?

tbf, download sales are literally up more than 50% from when AYN was released so despite the epicness that is AYN, get sexy should benefit from a rising market, even supposing its not as big in "real" terms (hope that makes sense). I'm really optimistic- downloaded it from amazon and ordered my physical! Bring on the "Sweet 7th" no1!

So while GS has climbed to 14, AYN leaps 20 places to 64! :o Bloody hell! I think its the buzz surrounding GS rubbing off, people are really taking notice of the babes again, unlike last era. very exciting!

Hey, finally we have some news for this thread! Overloaded re-enters at 87 this week! It seems GS is reminding people of the wonder of the babes. Could even climb next week as GS picks up speed, its only £4 in HMV (eternal) sale at the moment which is ace! Really is a great catalogue seller. :D

Kinda expected that with R2, had noticed they weren't on play list. Its certainly not a very R2 song, as opposed to Girls (which you can imagine your mum dancing to :wacko: ) They are the biggest station though so it will make an airplay no1 more difficult though i'd rather a sales no1 any day :)

Ok so 2 weeks ago AYN fell out the 100 from 91 and last week it rose to 84 again, while GS moved 56-42-27 GS this week climbs to 14! Will post AYN info when i know :)

Get sexy climbed to 56 this week and AYN to 91! GS should enter the main top50 later today so we should know sooner from now on :) B-list will make a big difference!

I suspect if its Neyo penned there's a fair chance its RedOne which could be a good way to go but i don't know if he's much cop outside of GaGa (as you said Jark), although Takin' Back My Love is pretty good. Btw, i keep seeing it written that RedOne has done Rihanna songs. Was a bit confused by this as she's not done anything that was obviously his(?) to me (other than maybe Breakin' Dishes). However on checking her sleeve notes on GGGB, i noticed she's worked with RedZone (note the Z), not RedOne, so this could all be a huge error where sources are quoting others who made/read it as a typo? Perhaps someone knows better, i'm def curious! :wacko:

It seems even for those not keen on the new song/direction, they can see the potential for commercial success and almost everyone seems to love the video and CDS cover. It is their best in ages at the very least. Just to clarify about the release, is the 31st just for the CDS, or also the digital? Just the 16th was kicking about for the digital for a bit but it seems that everyone was saying it to everyone else but i haven't read it officially. I think combined release on the 31st week could work best for them if they do digital before that they could find #1 more difficult IMHO

He won't bloody release an album of new songs so all his singles are bloody massive and his gash first album has returned to the top40 as people are just biting his hand off for more. So what do people think are the babes threats for number 1? From looking it seems people think: Dizzee and Calvin BEP Amelle and Tinchy Pixie Lott's new one? Others i can't remember?

great! wonder when GS will get its video as well... Any guesses on album titles? What about "Get This!" fits in with the single and reflects the fact their desperate more people actually buy it this album round :lol:
