Ok, so the HQ improves my view as always! Anyone else think the riff, particularly in the chorus sounds a bit like "Let it Rock" by Kevin Rudolf and 'Lil Wayne? It does feel like it has the X-factor to hit no1. I never felt Girls had that even though it was catchy and radio loved it, giving it massive exposure. I hope they combine physical and digital release, bands who've done that more recently have really maximised 1st week sales, rather than the 4-point trickle feed of release that was Girls. It may get good overall sales that way, but position suffers imho

Just listened on you tube. Yes generic, yes repetitive, yes slick urban production. I think it'll be a big hit probz, but i can't help but feel a bit disappointed from a creative pov if this is one of the strongest tracks on the new album. Catchy though, may grow on me. All very exciting though!!! Annoyed i just logged on and missed them on scot mills :angry:

makes sense to me, its just for comparison/record purposes i wonder what counts. Very confusing these days, bring back the physical! :lol:

Edit- scratch that he's listed MLIP sales figure but it's not on front page so has it been included in the total? (since GA St Trinian's and Megamix count). Was also wondering what about any other cherrypicks, because they should all count towards their total single sales, although they individually won't be much as they are non-singles (this would apply to other bands too, though the previous MW figure suggests to me they don't include these routinely in total single sales/sales figures)?

What?! I don't have GA that close in my figures, and theirs are usually more up to date that the babes (i have about 200k less for GA) *hops along to GA forum to see what RyRy's posted there...* :lol:

Far as i know, usually is and they also do quite well in Europe (and maybe the US if they get their way soon) :D

since my last update when AYN was at 66, it has moved 84-84-95-100-96 and last week completed a 30 place jump to land at number 76. Its rejuvenating again... 91 weeks on the airplay100 and counting. It seems you can bring yesterday around, and around, and around, and around.... :P Oh and nothing else of course

That'd be so cool though Jark's probably right, i mean we got to hear Girls in August and the physical wasn't out til October :o Not loving this, but i see Jark listed Britney's Amenesia and Quicksand (wasn't that a GaGa penned track?) which has cheered me up. I also thought they had more than 2 RedOne songs and less than 5 Stargate songs :blink: Really hope they rock ^_^

Hmmm. Will probably end up getting this too. It seems silly though, if there is going to be so many new tracks/ a second disc, at what point is it more like a new album anyway? It could be like Doll Domination: The Mini album (with all her previous singles) simply tacked on to effectively a whole new album. Hopefully she'll take this chance to chop off the last quarter of the fame and replace it with tracks of the standard of the first quarter!

Sure it won't detract from funhouse. This whole set is quite interesting (and unusual). I assume its timed to coincide with the tour as she is very much in the public eye just now with her current era still going well, and people who've heard old songs at the tour may want to pick up some back catalogue, so its great to have the whole lot at a discounted price. Got mine for £12 today, already had two of the albums but i'm a sucker for a slip cover :lol: Most artists' Greatest Hits benefit at times like these, but interestingly Pink has yet to have one despite 5 studio albums and (i make) 20 hit singles. With this is mind i think they've decided to reissue these albums as such (but discounted). Wasn't sure it'd be eligible for the main chart or if its sales would count alone or for each of the albums (either 1 for each or 1/4) but its appearing in the mids as 4CD set so looks like its sales will be separate too. Its just a lot of those 2in1 album sets (usually £3-5 in the cardboard slider cases) don't seem to chart at all but glad this one is. So what do people think? Should more artists do stuff like this as opposed to a GH? Or should they release box sets like this even with a GH available? Obviously this set gives you so much more than the singles, but does miss out non album singles/collaborations (like Lady Marmalade)

I think the concept would be to make it look like she was all over London, not have her wandering around the streets. Its not an unusual style of video, and you've heard of green screen right? :lol: You're prob right though and It didn't happen though or something would've leaked :lol:

I've always loved Britney's single mixes! She is one of the very best at that. The album versions of all these songs were good too mind but the singles gave it some real oomph. She should do that more again. Agreed sales this era are still pretty decent but sales in general are up 30-40% so in context its not that amazing. Circus problem was we all knew it was single 2 right away, the video was aired really early and it had a great top75 (and top20 i think) run considering its peak. The fact its sold over 150k is encouraging but it and f*** me did so little for the album its almost pointless. I think her being here to promote radar and re-promote the album will make a huge difference though, just look at the furore that surrounded the X factor and Womanizer Glad f*** me at least maintains her top20 run, its a good song. I think she'd do better if she gave us some actual B-sides its not as if they don't have A class leftovers from this era (Quicksand anyone?). Would've made me buy the CDS anyway but so little point for a $h!t remix of the old single which she's pulled twice (and don't even get me started on Womanizer instrumental :angry:)
