So the download chart issued on a wed is for sales the previous sun-sat (same period as the preceding sun night combined chart show)? i was always confused by this, thinking they did some sort of weird midweek cut off for the download chart seemed pointless. So to clarify the download chart published 7/1/09 (Wednesday) will cover the sales 28/12/08-03/01/09, as will the combined chart issued on 4/1/09 (Sunday)? I think this is a bit strange of Hit40UK, i mean if R1 has the licence and they're effectively publishing the download chart how will that work? Also, seems a weird time to drop airplay, especially when it is becoming more and more important in America (which we often follow, though prob less so in matters chart). Though its sad when people like Gaga far outsold her competitor there but was denied no1 coz her song wasn't played as much. I mean, if people are buying your song like mad when they've barely heard it, seems like a greater achievement doesn't it? Radio1/OCC shouldn't stop counting physicals though (not anytime soon)

They are long since gone on old computer but its ok i have the albums now. :) Its weird, i've always really liked their songs but somehow i never noticed for the 1st few years :lol: Ps i think i'm the only person who started with 3! strange for such a big seller

Bonus songs wouldn't suit the feel of the next album i'd wager, so i'd rather they didn't, but i hope some fans rediscover this when the next album comes out and C&S is a fiver on the neighbouring rack this time next year :) I feel mixed about this, on the one hand NCD is just taking off and i'd like them to sell as much of this album as possible although sales are below expectations. Also, EHB is great! I'd never have wanted a 4th single but when one of the strongest, most requested songs is left on the album it's always going to feel like wasted potential. I wanted a 4th Change single for a while too, (NGDA/MLIP like most people as it was infuriating to see two of their finest electropop tracks miss a shot at the chart) but now looking back Girls was on radio from August so it would've been too close together, but they've never missed the top10 with a Xenomania track so sure either would've done well and may have got Change to double platinum. Only bit that bugs me is the rushing back to the studio not giving them enough time- stop rushing girls! that's probably part of the problem!

Loving the serendipity! :D Official musicweek sales slightly higher (prob early downloads from before top200 entry): Sugababes - No Can Do 24,886 New peak on itunes and the physical still high in HMV chart (which almost is the physical chart now :wacko:), if it can keep up the speed we could see top20 next week- i'd LOVE that! Bought another copy of the CD (present) today and finally found the radio edit on 7Digital on sunday so there's two more (non-itunes) sales this week!

lol i bought a copy of it! Thought i may as well, though it cost me £1.75 a couple of weeks ago! :wacko: She should really earn that gold disc finally. They have stacks of it in every store i've been to- that and Kate Nash made of bricks (and a number of other top75 album re-entries this week though not for Mutya :lol:)

Overloaded must have sold around another 6k this week, still going nice and steady and has increased its top75 weeks to 26! :) Edit: PS the front page lists its re-entry position as 69, it's actually 67 (a filthy minded mod perhaps? :rofl:) C&S not top100 will edit when i find out if its top200 and any sales which materialise unless anyone else knows? :blink:

9 19 Sugababes No Can Do- new peak! Was 19 last week and 9 this week if want to complete the front post. Also risen from 30-19 on TV airplay! Perhaps a rise next week on sales chart?

mines is apparently open til tuesday! was told by one of staff today. Not much great stuff again, i seem to be missing most of it. Got Enya for £2.50 though, new album :D

i want them to score another top10 and with their surge in popularity right now, i don't want TLK to put a black mark on this campaign, it would be sort of ironic :wacko: that said, its not the end of the world if it did, and multiple top 10s from 1 album are becoming harder and harder for sure. I think the third OOC single will def struggle for top 10 (and i don't think a possible top10 record would prevent the record company releasing one, they care about sales far more :lol:)

Lol i know what you mean about the 1st 5 seconds i love that bit! (its like the start of some big 70s cop show or something!) Lots of songs seem to climb the week after physical release now. Don't really get it, but there's some chance of a new peak and its only now finding its itunes peak so the momentum could carry into next weeks sales since its only todays sales which remain to count for this week. NCD is 34 in almost sat chart btw (unnofficial sat midweeks) so looks like the increase in digital d/s is helping and hopefully boosted by sat physicals too :) also no7 in physical chart (just shows how so many 90s bands could score a top10 from a loyal fanbase, like the babes could've done a few years back even with a weaker song)

Sure 100k no probs. Is that official? No more singles or promo? I'll miss them if so but looking forward to a new huge album coz they can totally do it with a re-think :) lol, hilarious! Could've done with that a bit sooner!

Hopefully Change, Overloaded and C&S will appear when this ups to a top200 :) Yeah whats the deal with TU charting on the budget chart? Its been on it last few weeks and not on main top200? I assume the dealer price was lowered to shift more albums as i suppose its sold most of what its going to unless they lower the retail price farther like with the GH (which weirdly isn't budget so is probably being sold at loss for £3? :lol:). Will its sales still count with the previous ones, and for certifications does Dave or anyone know (although it's now exempt from main chart sadly)? Thanks :)

thing is, comparisions of a song out 8 years ago when we haven't had a sales update in gawd knows, its hard to say. Sure its sold a few more since, and will have trickle sold on d/l. HITH has prob sold a fair wee bit more as an overloaded cherrypick too so not sure NCD will have outsold Soul Sound yet, or Girls vs. HITH but both have healthy sales considering! :)

Hey Sinny where are you getting that figure? Does it include the last two weeks sales (which i've quoted) of 3k and any before that, or is that just this weeks d/ls? If just this weeks not doing awful so far! I think the CD will sell a decent amount as it was no2 on pre-order (well a decent amount for a physical these days anyway :lol:)
