good reviews, very informative thanks guys! :) I'm not gonna think about review until i have the proper album as it's amazing the difference listening to a good quality version can make. Glad to see lots of ppl weren't giving the album 0/10 overall or "10/10 OMG best album eva!!!!!!" type reviews, all seem honest, and the theme seems to be album loses steam as it goes on, perhaps with the promise being one of the strongest tracks. makes me think i may prefer TU...

probably. Musicweek love the babes. Full back catalogue sales update every time they release an album? Don't get that for most 7 album acts! :)

i think some electropop is cool because they're very good at it, and it may be their easiest route to commercial success. But C&S is great, so if they'd chosen to stick with one sound or producer we'd never have had that. It's not Sugababes style to stick with the same sound- one of the reasons they are a pop band with longevity is their ability to change and reinvent their sound, while still sounding like the Sugababes. I'm a little bugged they are talking about an album appoximately 2 years away though the week this one is released. It kind of undermines C&S and i know what Robin means, when you say "next time we'll do this instead" it can sound like you're correcting earlier mistakes even if that's not what you mean Great they're obviously keen to continue making music though :D

didn't realise that, thought it was their usual Xmas week. This makes top10 even more likely imho :)

i hope overloaded gets its double platinum disc soon (if record company bother), its sales have stayed healthy. oh and TIMW for 3x too! Bit disappointed at C&S sales tbh, hoped for about 30k. could have been worse though. High volume week, and Girls isn't quite the album seller that AYN was, but this album should hopefully be a steady seller as it is good all over, and i hope in hearing more of it as the singles are released the public will realise this and keep it in the chart for yonks! :D

Ah the Sun. i hate them but they do get a lot of the good interviews! Great to hear about the tracks and why should they go anywhere? this album will be their biggest yet prob!

yeah. TU was such a trip. Great quality all the way through it just blew my head off on first listen the intensity of the sound, how it just kind of hit the ground running and didn't stop! The advantage of using the same producer for a whole album i think. Have high hopes for the new one. And favourite B-side? Gotta be HOXTON HEROES! :w00t:

Sorry guys but i like your label release shed! Having thought over it the last few days on a few full listen throughs i think this order makes the most commercial sense, though i wonder if we'll get a 4th as they don't have a great record here (HOAS prob better choice, but SR is the most viable alternative IMHO) and i like Denial! I still listen to it- excellent pop song that deserved a far better position! Spot on silver, its really good quality album but it's harder to imagine any of the songs igniting the public as singles in the same way as some of their previous era hits you tube is great for getting a feel for things but you're right Jark, to make a properly informed decision. I'm amazed at the amount of songs i've not liked on repeated you tube listens but as soon as i hear CD quality i'm amazed at how all the extra detail and instrumentation can change my mind (you'd think the tune would be the overall decider but there you go!)

will have a fair effect i think, as surpringly or not if people don't see it or it's higher priced than comparable albums they won't necessarily buy (not in week 1 at least). Luckily they have enough loyal fans desperate for a new album to hunt it out or pay but a few 1000 more copies sold from better negotiation on the record company's part could have made it enter a couple of places higher. I note its price most places is relatively high and it's exposure from shelf positioning/instore ads inferior to i'd say at least these CDs this week: AC/DC, Keane, Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, Leon Jackson, which unfortunately is most of the competition outselling them this week so far :wacko:

Give it a chance Jark! It's one of the catchiest tracks on the album on first listen and a single needs that. EHB is great though, and could work nicely as a single, though i think no3 is a good order for it Most people know who the Sugababes are so i don't think that really matters but i know what you mean, it's not totally wow like say AYN

i know have concerns about this new book. I have the last guiness one and i think their A-Z section was great although the trivia had really slipped. Will buy the new one anyway i'm sure! :S

Think you're totally right about this. A shock but the lead single does really shift it for them and they've all been massive whereas "Girls" is only big For the same reasons as above, but hopefully the week one loyal fans will help it get there. Overall quality is better than Change Um, or like Rihanna putting a Maroon 5 song she did guest vocals on in her album? Oh wait she did :P Bonus tracks are just that- bonus. Not worthy as main tracklisting but AYN acoustic was recently a very popular download (thanks to Hollyoaks use of it) giving AYN a top 75 resurgence and i think a number of their big fans will appreciate a properly recorded version on a CD. Also the version featuring Sugababes of the Taio Cruz song was not on the CD single and was only available on itunes (not everyone has an ipod) as a download if you knew to look for it. It received a significant amount of website press coverage considering its status (e.g. popjustice and i read a clipping in a national paper about it which incorrectly stated it was included on the CD single), so again i think fans will be happy to have a good quality version of it thrown in gratis, i certainly am! mines says denial too :lol: Yeah loads of albums do it now but it bugs me as it's very presumptuous. e.g. Britney's Blackout listed Radar on the cover and that went nowhere so now it just seems stupid :wacko:

posted a bit about this in one of the promise threads but thought it deserved its own as none of them really cover it directly. what do ppl think of the B-side "She"? I like it lots, kinda a mix of No good advice, Wake Me up and Crocodile Tears. Typical GA/Xeno fodder but very good quality for B-side if not quite matching their better singles IMHO :) Anyone else?
