All these Sean Kingston/Jason DeRulo/Jay Sean type songs just sound the exact same rubbish to me.. J.R Rotem used to be a good producer back in 2007 but he's SO generic these days..
  2. To be honest i think 'Burn' is probably her best chance at getting a hit...

My quick ratings; 08.5 Your Love Is My Drug 08.5 Tik Tok 08.0 Take It Off - The vocoder, unbearably cheesy bit ruins an otherwise very good song 08.5 Kiss N Tell 07.5 Stephen 08.5 Blah Blah Blah (feat. 3OH!3) 09.0 Hungover - Loving this, a major grower 09.0 Party At A Rich Dude's House - Majorly catchy & fun 08.0 Backstabber 08.0 Blind 06.5 Dinosaur - VIP or Chain Reaction should of replaced this 08.0 Dancing With Tears In My Eyes - Love the verses but the chorus isn't as good as it could be 07.5 Boots & Boys 09.5 Animal - Instant favourite, reminds me of Sweet Disposition at the start for some reason and it doesn't even sound like her in the verses, great song. Overall: A very solid pop album with a lot of grower's and a lot of potential singles.
  5. 'Alive' and 'Someday Soon' are both pretty fantastic though, but i agree Rogue Traders is never going to be as good without her...
  6. Her voice is one of the most irritating things ever, trying to be Nat and failing really badly...

I have to say this show really won me over, i though the first episode was completely cringeworthy and the second wasn't exactly good either but the past 3 episodes have all been outstandingly good, especially last week's.
  8. Here's the entry from Lotopialand for this contest: Country: Lotopialand Artist: Sheri Song: First Sign (Alternative Radio Edit) Link: NcxcrlmDeRg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcxcrlmDeRg Hope you all like it :D
  9. Reserving 'Sheri' for Lotopialand
  10. Well it reached 57 in Sweden but she was meant to have an album this year which hasnt surfaced yet D:
  11. Its from 2007, she used to be in A*Teens :P
  12. This is finally get a long overdue UK release :D One of the best RedOne productions.

My quick thoughts on first listen: 08.0 - Bad Boys - A very catchy debut single though it's still not as amazing as i hoped/expected, certainly a good song though 08.5 - Good Night Good Morning - This works well as a duet actually, love the verses, the chorus isnt as good but still nice enough 07.5- The Silence - A bit of a grower, sounds Ryan Tedderish? sounds more like a Leona castoff though, love the keychange 08.5 - All Night Long - The chorus is very 90s europop, its like a cheesier version Chris Brown's 'Forever', not typical RedOne surprisingly 08.5 - Bury Me (6 Feet Under) - A nice motown vibe on this, theres definately something missing but it sounds like a song ill play a song 08.5 - Broken Heels - So catchy it verges on becoming irritating, very poptastic, the annoying same 'heys' in all these RedOne songs are starting to grate now though 08.0 - Dumb - The verses remind me of 'All That She Wants' for some reason, the chorus is very much electro-pop though, turns into Pokerface part XI in the middle eight 07.0 - Overcome - Really is Ryan Tedder by numbers, exact same beat as 'Battlefield', the song is nice enough though 05.5 - Gotta Go - So bland, not awful but its not something i could even see growing on me 07.0 - You Broke My Heart - Not a surprise this was written by Pixie Lott, it sounds exactly like the majority of her album. Love the summery chorus, verses are average 08.5 - Nothing But The Girl - Sounds a bit like a great demo somehow? lacks oomph slightly, future single perhaps, very nice song 04.0 - They Don't Know - Bland Overall: A decent enough debut album though i was expecting some of the songs to have more oomph, most of it is growers, got 'Broken Heels' stuck in my head at the moment. 'Good Night Good Morning' does seem like an ideal second single, probably the best song on there.
  15. Thankyou Botanikka :D

Well after listening to the album several times, heres my thoughts: 08.5 Forever Is Over - So glad this looks set to do well, a nice (if pointless) change in direction, their 2nd best single to date 07.0 Here Standing - Very much like a weaker version of 'No Air', its not bad just builds up to being a big danceypop song but never gets there 08.0 Ego - Somehow this sounds much slower than on the Megamix, still would be a good single choice, the 1 minute clip summed up the whole song alrwady though 06.5 No One - Found this much to bland on first listen, its growing slowly but still just a filler really 09.0 One Shot - The chorus didnt need to go on so long but its soo catchy and fun, really addictive must be a single 09.0 Wordshaker - Great song this, another MUST be single, chorus sticks in your heard 07.0 Denial - This sounds like it was made in 2001, very nice chorus, verses are a bit bland though 09.5 Open Up - One of my favourites, sounds like a lost Max Martin/Dr Luke production, LOVE the dancey synths from 2:30 onwards 08.0 Lose Control - This verges on being much to cheesy for me, the chorus is impossible to get out of your head though 09.5 Not Good Enough - My favourite of the album actually, the perfect type of pop ballad which i instantly love, great vocals, slightly Ryan Tedder meets Stargate.. 06.5 Deeper - A pleasant enough song but really nothing special 08.0 2 a.m. - This could be the second single? is it just me or does it sound SO christmassy, so cheesy, would be a perfect christmas single. Overall: 08.0 - A better album than i was expecting actually, very cheesy in places but songs like 'Workshaker', 'Open Up' and 'Not Good Enough' are fantastic.

The High Quality versions of songs lately always dissapoint greatly, they always seem to lack oomph, i remember i loved Jade's My Man when i heard the MQ radio version but the High Quality was blander. With this again, theres less oomph in the final version somehow? Still a nice enough song though.

My quick ratings; its not a bad album by any means but theres nothing amazing on it either, im guessing it will flop. 08.5 Straight Through My Heart 08.5 Bigger 07.5 Bye Bye Love 06.0 All Of Your Life (You Need Love) 07.0 If I Knew Then 06.5 This is us 07.5 PDA 08.0 Masquerade 06.0 Shes a Dream 06.5 Shattered 06.0 Undone 08.0 Helpless
  19. Yay Lotopialand is through again, just finishing listening to all the songs, most of them are ones i already liked a lot anyway. Will vote soon as no time to come online the next few days again.

Well i must admit im very much pleasantly surprised. 'Forever Is Over' is one of their best singles so far but it sounds like the album has even better stuff on it. 'Ego' and 'Standing Here' sound like being potentially brilliant in full. I don't get the fuss over 'Workshaker' though, the verses are quite bland.

What is the point in these Spam bots, its always so obvious.
  22. It has been confirmed in a video in a YouTube video (below) with RedOne on 24th August that she is recording new material due for release later this year. SI5C9ntKASo The prospect of '9 Lives on stereoids' sounds amazing. If theres anything half as good as Animal, In The End or Run The Show then it will be a great album, i guess this means Unfloppable and Dance Bailalo were just buzz singles. Leaked 'Instinct' instrumental clip sounds like Calling You & Animal mashed together, hopefully were get to hear the full version soon. tOn8ZD6pTRk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O8O062_t78 New version, i dont like it as much as the Keisha version obviously but its still great especially the 2:17 bit onwards when it goes all eurodancey.
  24. I do really like this, its kind of like halfway house between Amy Winehouse - Back To Black and Mariah Carey - Obsessed. Much better than the Alexandra & Cheryl songs.
  25. Yes confirming it as all the other artists i wanted to send are already reserved ^_^
