British Airways asks employees to work without pay
LONDON (AP) -- British Airways on Tuesday urged its staff to work for nothing in an effort to save the company money. British Airways PLC is struggling to come up with ways to save cash after reporting its biggest full-year loss since the former national airline was privatized in 1987. BA chief Willie Walsh has said he would not draw a salary for the month of July, and urged other employees to work for blocks of time without being paid. "I am looking for every single part of the company to take part in some way in this cash-effective way of helping the company's survival plan. It really counts," Walsh said in a company publication. BA said the option meant employees would effectively volunteer to take a cut in base pay, with the lost income spread out over several months. The company had said last month it would ask employees to consider working without pay. The UNITE union, which represents thousands of BA ground and cabin crew, gave the proposal a chilly reception. The union said that while Walsh might be able to afford working a month for free, its members could not. BA said last month that it had lost 375 million pounds ($595 million) in the year ending March 31, compared with a profit of 712 million pounds in the previous year. That is its worst result in more than two decades of business, the previous low point being a 200 million pounds loss in 2001-2002. Work without pay for a month? Why go to work that month at all? If they are withholding pay, you should be able to withhold work. Rather ridiculous really, they are a pretty dire company and baffling that they expect workers to feel 'privelleged' working for them. Someone on £750,000 a year asking people on 30 times less to work free for a month, complete joke. Britain is moving towards communism at an alarming rate, if people are idiotic enough to stand for this and work a month for free then they will be working the next month and the month after for free, don't give the British government an inch because they plan to take a yard to be honest.

Cassie // Must Be Love
Its dreadful and will rightfully flop. I dont even think 'Lets Get Crazy' would make much of an impact now.

'Obsessed'
Its certainly nothing groundbreaking, just kind of generic and seems to drag on forever. Far to much autotune and it lackws of structure or melody, wheres the chorus? Its Like That >>>>>>>> Obsessed Touch My Body >>> Obsessed

Another non qualifier for Lotopialand :( Not good.
-
Kate Ryan - Babacar
'Sweet Mistake' off her last album was a really great song and the whole 'Alive' album was great stuff. This however, bland.

Ashley Tisdale - Guilty Pleasure
The bonus track 'Blame It On The Beat', is really great Electro-Pop actually. Sorts like a mash of Lady Gaga, Goldfrapp & Dragonette's - Fixin To Thrill.

Lip-Synching at "live" shows
It is common knowledge in the industry that singers who mime are usually hiding a less than average voice which has been 'tweaked/heavily autotuned' during recording, lack the training and experience to carry the show, or are unable to reproduce the recorded performance in a live environment, or in some cases just cannot be bothered. For those who have talent and dedication (something these pop products do not have), these are all achievable aspects of performance that only come with time, practice and hard work. Of course dance routines can be demanding and to pull them off successfully the singer has to have a great deal of vocal control, abdominal support and physical stamina, but so what if they sing a few 'off key' notes, at least theyve made the effort. WHY is it these deluded fans stick up for Britney Spears and call that sham of a tour acceptable? she barely even dances either, just kind of walks around the stage looking exceptionally bored. I don't think she even gives a sh!t about any of the songs she's made anyway, its not like shes ever written her own unless that dire 'Mm Papi' counts. I personally find it hilarious when so called 'artists' songs stop/skip whilst their miming, it really shows the amount of talent they have. It really shown though jsut how dire things are last year in the Beijing Olympics when the Opening Ceremony star mimed because the real singer was not deemed pretty enough.

Big Brother // Series 10
Big Brother 8 was by FAR the worst. It had the most boring, unlikely, fake, useless collection of Morons possible. I can't get into it this year, i shall stop watching it if it doesnt get better soon.

Ashley Tisdale - Guilty Pleasure
Well i have to say 'Acting Out' sounds really amazing in High Quality, the album is much better than the better, this style of music really suits here. My quick review: 9.5 Acting Out - The album gets off to a great start with this brilliant pop-rock Kelly Clarkson esque track, chorus is amazing 8.5 It's Alright, It's Ok - Pretty good single to lead the album with even though its very 'So What' esque, surprised its not doing well 7.5 Masquerade - Reminds me of another song but i can't think of what, a big grower 8.0 Overrated - This one reminds me of 'Hey Monday - HDYLMN' a bit, another fantastic chorus, good verses 9.0 Hot Mess - Majorly catchy song this, so far away from her HSM songs, really like it 8.5 How Do You Love Someone - Her voice is great on this, very poptastic 9.0 Tell Me Lies - Shes really good at doing this type of song, extremely addictive & catchy 9.5 What If - First proper ballad of the album and its surprisingly amazing especially the chorus 9.5 Erase & Rewind - Surprised this is a RedOne production, similar to 'Hot & Cold' but its great stuff 7.5 Hair - More in the vibe of her last album, poptastic and fun stuff but theres something missing 7.0 Delete You - Another pretty good song, but sounds like weak versions of many of the other songs 8.5 Me Without You - The tempo slows down again for this, surprised her voice is really fantastic on this, liking it 8.5 Crank It Up - From first listen its an obvious RedOne production, very electro-pop, generic at first but grows and grows 9.0 Switch - One of the highlights of the album, very poppy fantasticness, the chorus is addictive 9.5 I'm Back - Had this one since last year, J.R Rotem produced and its one of the highlights, brilliant Electro-Pop Overall: Well i have to say im baffled by how good this album is, i wasnt expecting it to be anywhere near this good from the clips but there is not one bad song on there and im hoping it will be a great success for her. 9/10

Ashley Tisdale - Guilty Pleasure
It does sound a bit like a mashup of Kelly Clarkson/Hey Monday/Avril meets Generic Electro-pop/Last albums sound. Not heard 'Acting Out' or 'Overrated' yet but they were the two which sounded the best from the clips. The album is very strong though on first listen, 'Tell Me Lies' & 'Erase And Remind' being the highlights.

Ghost Whisperer
I have to agree with this. The first series was pretty much great from start to finish and i still enjoy watching, Andrea was a great character but i never really warmed to Delia in the same way in Season 2 which was a rather hit & miss season. The only episode i can honestly say i enjoyed in the third series was the Christmas one though i did stop watching it by Episode 14 or so and don't have an interest in watching the rest.

Big Brother // Series 10

Agnes Carlsson - Release Me
Shocked at how well this has done, reaching the Top 10 would have been great enough but top 3 is amazing.

Pixie Lott - Mama Do/Here We Go Again (RedOne produced)
Here is a new song by her, 'Rolling Stone', produced by RedOne, very good actually. U32uFohPf40

Agnes Carlsson - Release Me
Really thrilled that she's having some success in the UK as i have been a big fan of all her albums so far. Her debut single 'Right Here, Right Now' was MUCH better than the dirge X Factor/American Idol winners manage to churn out year after year. However i can see her being a one hit wonder unfortunately.

Diana Vickers - Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree
Ive suffered the pain of having to hear her attrocious live performances EVERYDAY blasted out by my sister since December so i really dread the day this album comes out.
