  1. Hideous song, i really cannot bare it. Perhaps if they released a single version which was not overproduced like that leaked instrumental from the other month it would be good but no.
  2. XxQ5A696Q-c Pop! - Serious Their other two singles were rather cheesy and steps like but the third single was a pop masterpiece and was criminally ignored. Very undeserved flop.
  3. Oh please  What a completely stupid and ignorant post. Everything she said is correct, and it shows just how useless Cowell is by just buggering off the next day most probably to American Idol new series. This is the exact problem every year, a new 'worldclass singer' is supposed to be found but then Cowell just basically leaves them with a load of covers rubbish etc. Only Leona has had SOME effort made with her but the majority of Spirit is poor quality album fillers though as Leona is his puppet she'd happily sing ABC on loop for 3 minutes. Alexandra has more of a personality so yes she should get to work with decent producers as it is HER album afterall and Cowell has more than enough money. Surely shipping her off to Sweden to work with topnotch producers like Stargate and off to the US to with the likes of Ryan Tedder, JR Rotem etc would be a great idea. Its pointless every year havng a karaoke album released. If these singers were SO talented they wouldn't have songs handpicked from a collection of demo's given to Simon. Instead they'd be able to pick things themselves and perhaps write their own material.
  4. Well ive read on several websites now that this has been offered to Rihanna and may be the first single, i hope its true as its amazing and sounds more like a Rihanna type song then the other rumoured demo's than have been doing the rounds the past few weeks. Its produced by Stargate and sounds like 'Don't Stop The Music' crossed with 'Disturbia'. Here is the demo, sung by Claude Kelly. SdBdxnqvPYo
  5. Worldwide though i mean generally. There has been a massive drop in success of each of Leona's singles, especially 'Forgive Me'. I think its rather likely that she will only be able to sell reasonably well with ballads which people will eventually tire of bar the UK which has never tired of the likes of Westlife's tripe. Oh i thought 'No Air' has been the first single released and Tattoo was scrapped to 3rd in the end.
  6. Rather dissapointing how real good original manufactured pop music gets dropped but the likes of The Saturdays don't.
  7. The problem with these reality tv show singers is that unless they break away from the show they are never allowed to be original and change in musical direction. Leona will never be able to break away and explore new music, she will always be given the same dreary old ballads with an ocassional lifeless attempt at a uptempo which she cannot pull off unlike Alexandra. Alexandra has more potential to cross genres if she refuses to let Cowell force her straight to Ryan Tedder for Bleeding Love part 2's. The likes of Girls Aloud, Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson etc have managed to break away from their shows succesfully though i guess it did backfire on Kelly Clarkson with her last album. Compare that with the likes of David Archuleta, Jordin Sparks, Leona etc which all get one big hit after the winner single then NEVER reach the heights of that success again.

Its nothing amazing but still rather good. I love the verses but the chorus really lets it down in my opinion.
  9. I really quite like this song despite the depressiveness of it. She does deserve to be successful as her album is really quite great. 'Dream Big' would be a great lead single for the UK followed by a double A-Side having this and 'Fear'. Every song on the album is really good though, i wasnt particulary fond of it at first but its very much playable from start to finish without skipping songs like on most albums.

  11. Im not sure her album will be released in March in the end. If it is then it means a new single will already be out on promo, radio etc just a few weeks after 'Hallelujah' plus theres the X Factor tour etc etc. Im guessing the usual Ryan Tedder, JR, Max Martin, Stargate, Claude Kelly etc will be used for the original tracks. I also think productions by Akon (Konvict), Taio Cruz, Ne-Yo etc could very much be likely. Therefore the album will most likely end up sounding like across between Beyonce & Jennifer Hudsons latest albums rather than Leona. I think a RedOne/Lady Gaga production for one of the uptempo tracks giving a more hip hop version of Just Dance crossed with Britneys Toxic would be the best move to make though.
  12. Oooh its on 7Digital :D Getting it now.
  13. So is this released to download sites in 10 minutes? If so where can i download without ITunes or registering.

What an unbearably BORING winners single they have chosen yet again. Alexandra is great on this final chorus though, i hope she wins.

I have her new album and really love listening to 'Breathe' but all the songs are great stuff.
  16. 2nd single apparently, 'Girl Next Door', another RedOne production and sounds exactly like Pokerface mixed with Just Dance which means its likely to be a big hit. tVIt2eJzd0U Been listening to album on his myspace & youtube: Heres my quick review: 01. Breathing Your Love - A great start to the album. His best single by far and one of the best songs of 2008, amazing RedOne production - 10/10 02. Seasons Fly - The pace really slows down for this electro-pop ballad, gets better as it goes along - 8/10 03. Roadtrip - A midtempo pop ballad here, it sounds like somethings missing but its great stuff - 8.5/10 04. Dance - RedOne production again which makes this a fantastic song, would be a massive hit here in the UK - 10/10 05. Karma - Imagine Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River' meets One Republic/Timba 'Apologize', great pop/r&b ballad with David Jassy rap - 9.5/10 06. Flashback - Again a fairly slow song, synthy-pop goodness - 8/10 07. Strobelight - Futuristic club track here, definately a great song to get you dancing though not single worthy - 8.5/10 08. Girl Next Door - Imagine a male version of Just Dance & Pokerface mixed together, really amazing song to be honest, great to dance to - 10/10 09. Runaway - Great song & vocals on this though the slight forced American influence is there, sounds like something Chris Brown/Justin Timberlake would do - 8.5/10 10. Paradise - Most probably another RedOne song, its very much mature dancey-pop - 9/10 11. See You At The Club - Typical urban pop track this, lots of vocoder, very robotic. Great upbeat song though not as good as the others - 8.5/10 12. What If - The album ends with this heartfelt ballad, great lyrics and vocals - 8.5/10 Overall - Brilliant album, not one track id give below 8/10, really deserves to be massive ill definately be buying this when i go to Sweden - 9/10
  17. I do quite like 'The Block' but nothing on it screams out bit hit. Can't see this having much of an impact. 'Big Girl Now' with Lady GaGa & 'One Song' are the only potential none flops.
  18. I think it was a reasonably good performance. Obviously not great but its only a German awards show so not the biggest venue, indeed just for a confidence boost. I doubt she will sing live on X Factor, even Mariah Carey mimed a lot of her performance.
  19. According to an interview with Brian Friedman on the ITV website, she'll be doing Womanizer AND Circus. And the contestants will all perform a Britney a song AND an 'American classic' as this is the first week in which contestants perform two songs each.

I cant stand Louis Walsh but like JLS so im glad Rachels gone.

Same Difference aren't singing live? I do like the song however. Louis Walsh is a vile man.

All the performances have been good so far tonight bar JLS which were a bit average. The backing singers overpowered Diana though.
  23. 1. Womanizer 2. Circus 3. Kill The Lights 4. Amnesia 5. Shattered Glass 6. Unusual You 7. Phonography 8. Mannequin 9. Trouble 10. Blur 11. Out From Under 12. Rock Me In 13. Mmm Papi 14. Quicksand
  24. Amnesia is amazing now  9/10 was definately to low of me, make it a 10 :D
  25. Im really annoyed at the overproduction of Mannequin. That fanmade instrumental was great, it should of ben exactly like that instrumental with hard hitting beats and the whistle being loud and more frequent. Vocally the 'I like it and I do what I like, And if do what I like, then you’ll like it' bit should of been made louder and more chaotic Freakshow/Radar sounding. The producers definately need a tutorial in producing music.
