I HAVE THE ALBUM!!!!
Here's my quick review 1. So What - Everyone has heard this by now but yes, fantastic catchy pop-rock - 9/10 2. Sober - I was surprised that this was a Danja production, its not as a good as his usual as the chorus would be great with some synths in it, the track itself is great though - 9/10 3. I Don't Believe You - Amazing , really emotional and amazing melody, fantastic - 10/10 4. One Foot Wrong - Great vocals but the song itself is nothing special - 6.5/10 5. Please Don't Leave Me - Really good song, brilliant lyrics, chorus lacks something though - 9/10 6. Bad Influence - Fantastic fun track, a better beat and more synths would of been great however - 9/10 7. Funhouse - This is just a filler for me, its not bad though - 6.5/10 8. Crystal Ball - Sometimes the simple songs are the best. Really  this - 10/10 9. Mean - Indeed this reminds me of Aerosmith, what a brilliant song - 10/10 10. It's All Your Fault - The chorus is super, and so is the track overall but it does indeed lack something - 8.5/10 11. Ave Mary A - Wow, what a great song  - 10/10 12. Glitter In The Air - The lyrics to this are fantastic, and the songs very good to - 9/10 13. This Is How It Goes Down – Verses do nothing much for me but the chorus makes up for it - 8/10

Catfights And Spotlights [6th Album Discussion]
From listening to the album id say its alright overall, certainly not their best, it feels a bit empty in places. I think 'You On A Good Day', 'Hanging On A Star' & 'Can We Call A Truce' are my favourites aswell as the bonus acoustic AYN. Some of the songs dont half drag on a bit though, jees.

The Saturdays - 'Up' 'Chasing Lights' [13.10.08] [27.10.08]
Ive been doing about the Music Industry in Music Tech and for every £10 CD sold the actual artist ends up with less than a pound for each copy sold. Considering theres 5 members (20p each for £10) and a £6.99 pricetag, they certainly wont be making as money as they'd like to be. Listening to those clips none really stand out for me, its pretty a 6-7/10 thing all the way through really with 'Up', 'Keep Her' and 'Vulnerable' though it does sound rather dated. Its rather lazy having a remix for Track 12, i think its very rude of artists/groups when they do that.

Catfights And Spotlights [6th Album Discussion]
The songs sound AWFUL! Bland to the extreme and depressingly dull. What the hell have they done, its ridiculous all this 'oh lets do some 60s poppy soul/r&b music as everyone else is' cr*p. They have always managed to have pretty good albums so far and many fantastic singles so im extremely dissapointed. Certainly wont bother getting this.

The Saturdays - 'Up' 'Chasing Lights' [13.10.08] [27.10.08]
How the hell has it managed to get that high. The song is rather good though but they havent exactly done loads of promotion.

Jessica Mauboy Ft Flo Rida ''Running Back''
Really love this song  'Work It Out' and the B-Side 'Breathe' are also fantastic.

Nat Bass > Alive
Wow  HQ version is amazing, i take it back about saying 'Womanizer' is better before, this is MILES better, it has a great melody and love the instrumental. Pop heaven :D
-
Nat Bass > Alive
Ahh sounds amazing from that performance

WOMANIZER VIDEO!
Great video :D will really help the single, so happy for her. However i still think videos such as Toxic & Everytime are her best.

East 17-f*** That
The thing about boybands is they always have extremely short careers generally, a few years usually then no-one cares (Take That of course different because they came back with decent enough material and had a better name in the first place) as they always come back with pathetic attempts at 'embracing modern pop music' which sums of NKOTB comeback album extremely well. As for East 17's comeback, the instrumental for the first 20 seconds is alright but then it decends into a hilariously desperate load of rubbish.

The Saturdays - 'Up' 'Chasing Lights' [13.10.08] [27.10.08]
Well that just shows how sh!tly written is then doesn't it. She quite embarrased herself to the honest, fairly nice but she clearly doesnt give a sh!t about the musical side of her career anyway. Not knowing the lyrics to your own song especially after performing it so frequently is not only embarrasing, but completely ignorant. Time and time again singers/bands who actually have a passion for music who deserve to do well fail to get anywhere yet the undeserving idiots always seem to come out on top. Now i may only be 17 but looking back through the years you would not see such a travesty happening 20 years ago. This has been a bitterly dissapointing year for music, one of the worst in memory imo. Pop songs nowadays consist of desperate attempts at trying to sound different, 60s/70s/80s copycats, auto-tuned robots and The Saturdays, all dreadful bar the odd ocassional blip. I'm still yet to be convinced these are the so called 'new Spice Girls', everything ive heard so far i wouldnt give better than 7/10, pleasant songs but they really do lack everything from decent melodies, lyrics to general knowledge.

Womanizer - Official Thread - Chart + Sales
I think 'Gimme More' was a lot more instant than 'Womanizer' but i do like womanizer anyway, just heard it to much, im pretty sure this will reach number one and she deserves it to.

Womanizer - Official Thread - Chart + Sales
Ive lost interest in 'Womanizer' now, it really doesnt live up to great songs such as 'Gimme More' , 'Break The Ice' & 'Toy Soldier' off Blackout. However im very much looking forward to the video and i think its safe to day the album will be the best of 2008 when released, especially from the sounds of that 'Mannequin/Underground' clip which should of been lead single rather than Womanizer.

East 17-f*** That
Really awful song, that chorus is one of the worst ive ever heard.
-
Nat Bass > Alive
I quite like this song, does sound like a weaker version of Womanizer though. She looks like Delta Goodrem in the CD picture

Vincent - Miss Blue
UUYHO4oCxfw Not really sure how to describe it, but its got stunning catchy 70s type melodies meets electro-pop/dub/ska? Not sure how it will do here in the UK but if the radio picks it up he could do very well :D He's from Sweden and is having reasonable success there.
-
Same Difference - We R One
It really is something from the late 90's, i like it though.
-
Keeps getting better on itunes
Im surprised its doing so well beens its such a lacklustre comeback.
-
Under-Rated/Under-Looked Pop Gems!
Kristian Leontiou - Shining springs to mind at the moment.
-
Gimme More Vs Womanizer
Despite loving 'Womanizer' i really think 'Gimme More' is 1000 times better and should of been her comeback single this year with Womanizer on Blackout instead.
-
The Saturdays - 'Up' 'Chasing Lights' [13.10.08] [27.10.08]
I quite like 'Crashing Down' but from the instrumental you'd expect a better song sung over it. 'Up' deserves to do better than their debut, though im still yet to be wowed by anything from them.
