Loving 'Empty Threat' quite a lot right now, though I keep hearing "FARTING for you" oops.

Oh, I actually really like 'For a Better Day', my favourite from Stories anyway! 'X You' (which I voted for) or 'Superlove' to go next plz.

It's not a bad track, very similar to 'Life's Too Short'. Certainly not their best effort (but when you have 'Heartbeat' in your discography, that's no mean feat!) but it's a lovely festive track. I expect it'll go down the route of The Wombats' 'Is This Christmas?' and The Feeling's 'Feels Like Christmas' as a forgotten Christmas track that never makes and impact but you still hear once or twice a year in shops!

Well I don't know what you were watching Jahq because I saw this and was in fits of laughter throughout. Possibly the best comedy released this year, in a year that includes 'Spy' and 'Trainwreck' that is certainly no mean feat!

Over 30,000 people with amazing taste, I still adore 'We R One' and 'All the Roads Lead to Heaven' off that album! The 2nd album (that completely missed the Top 200 iirc) was even better!

Two beige ballads? I only see one. :lol: I reckon '2 Become 1' has only got this far because it's near to Christmas!

'2 Become 1' again... It's a lovely ballad, but 'Say You'll Be There' and 'Spice Up Your Life' have so much (err) SPICE and 'Viva Forever' is just stunning! Anyway, I fully expect 'SYBT' to leave this time with 'VF' actually the most likely winner, lots of votes seem to be going to the other 2 each round now!

'2 Become 1' plz. I seriously hope all the people that vote for the uptempo songs miraculously move onto this so that the best ballad (by pretty much anyone, ever) can win!

Sounds like him to me. On a side note, they've been playing Andreya Triana's 'Playing With Fire' on Asda FM at work lately, and I was convinced it was Bryn Christopher for ages. Tried searching for it on Wikipedia and everything. :lol:

'Be the One' is brilliant, I've heard it on R1 loads of times already! On a side note, what's up with all these similarly named artists breaking through currently (Dua Lipa, Izzy Bizu, Mura Masa etc.) :lol:

Releasing the 'best tracks', as you mention, is subjective. If only the best tracks (in the artist/record company's opinion) were put out as instant grats, then all subsequent post album singles would be songs that were previously instant grats. Currently, this is not the case as a lot of post album singles were not originally instant grats. As to whether they boost album sales, they must be at least increasing pre-orders of albums otherwise record companies probably wouldn't bother with a strategy that involves instant grats. Having the tracks out there prior to the full album's release can help to gain momentum in time for the release of the album. More songs reaching out to more people = more potential buyers (as long as they like what they hear).

Glad it's finally available, I've been waiting for it to be available to stream since I saw it on the 1XTRA playlist. It's pretty good, like a combination of Craig's earlier stuff mixed with a Roll Deep song or something. :D

I had this discussion (read: near argument) with my hubby the other week. We were watching the Adele programme that was on the BBC and they stated that 'Someone Like You' pushed her into superstardom or something. Whilst that, no doubt, had an effect, I'd argue that 'Make You Feel My Love' being performed on The X Factor pretty much every week and turning it into a megahit, is what did it! He refused to take in what I said because if Graham Norton said it, it must be true. He was also convince that Justin Bieber knocked 'Hello' off #1 after two weeks because he heard it on the chart show on his drive home, he refused to believe me when I said it spent 3 weeks there. :lol:

I thought 'Eyes Wide Open' was the follow up (in the UK, at least)? I seem to remember Radio 2 playlisting it and it denting the lower end on the iTunes Top 300 anyway!

Watch 'Before He Cheats' get rereleased AGAIN if this single she performs does okay. :lol:

'She Wolf' to go next plz, definitely my least favourite there (though I wouldn't oppose a 'Commander' or 'Gettin' Over You' exit), at this stage!
