WOW Didnt know about LAV/IB/E/M :) True Blue was indeed the number 1 album of 1986. I think she was the 1st or 2nd woman to have the top seller of the year.

A month in Top three :) I think this is only her fourth album to do this.

Top three albums include presales so Madonna could climb back upto number 2 by Sunday as she has had the biggest selling album every weekend since release.

Looks like Madonna will struggle for a top 30 position this week. :(

Yea but I mean by Mariah's usual standards, appearing in every single show including the adverts in between.

Mariah didnt do as much promo as she usually does plus most of Mariah's albums have higher weekly sales than there debut week. Hopefully CLB is a constant seller for the remainder of the year.

I really dont get why you think this disappointing? We live in an age where people can make there on GH collection via digital downloads. Plus this is her 3rd collection and it matches the peak of GHV2, yes sales are done but thats across the board.

According to some folk on UKMIX Madonna forum. Woudl explain why id didnt appear on any DVD charts so I think it's correct. But since she is number on todays midweeks, looks like I was wrong it could plummet. Yay!

Yes single slipped to 14. I think a return to number one may happen to as she has had the biggest selling album every day since the release date. Sadly Paramore were able to sell enough copies on that day to claim this weeks number 1.

I think getting to number 3 was an over-achievement for this song. Very weak lead off single by M's standards and the remix is far superior to Paul Oakenfold's very dated sound. Let's hope she doen't make the same mistake of working with a man 10 years passed his relevance.

We so know on sunday she will miss the number one by like 500 copies. ;)

Paramore had a song on Twilight so have built up a big following for this album. She sold more than them again yesterday. She is currently 6.3k behind.

I'm not sure, most of there fans are of school age so I would guess Saturday would be there shopping day, Mondays sales would have included presales. But then Madonna's fan base is so varied that she could be consistant enough during the week to pull it back.

It's going to be a tight one. Most of Paramore's fans will be purchasing on Saturday. Still good week of sales for Madona.

She sold over a 1000 more copies than Paramore yesterday.

Just over 50k for the week so far. :) Number 1 in the bag now as both Muse & Dizzee added another 5k. So there both sitting around 35/36k. Woohoo.

What makes even more strange is that Celebration is at number 2 on the Airplay chart.

It's nothing special but then neither is Celebration.

The X-factor show would be a very clever move if she does it. It will do wonders for Celebration and get the media back on side, in the UK at least, if it's a good performance and if she's a good mentor. She did Missy Elliots talent show and was good on that.
