Paramore had a song on Twilight so have built up a big following for this album. She sold more than them again yesterday. She is currently 6.3k behind.

I'm not sure, most of there fans are of school age so I would guess Saturday would be there shopping day, Mondays sales would have included presales. But then Madonna's fan base is so varied that she could be consistant enough during the week to pull it back.

It's going to be a tight one. Most of Paramore's fans will be purchasing on Saturday. Still good week of sales for Madona.

She sold over a 1000 more copies than Paramore yesterday.

Number 2 on midweeks.

Who the f**k is buying Peter Andre?!! A second week in the top 5, I thought it would have dropped like a stone. :huh:

Just over 50k for the week so far. :) Number 1 in the bag now as both Muse & Dizzee added another 5k. So there both sitting around 35/36k. Woohoo.

What makes even more strange is that Celebration is at number 2 on the Airplay chart.

It's nothing special but then neither is Celebration.

The X-factor show would be a very clever move if she does it. It will do wonders for Celebration and get the media back on side, in the UK at least, if it's a good performance and if she's a good mentor. She did Missy Elliots talent show and was good on that.

I see Madonna's curse of peaking at number 2 also effects her in Germany. :huh:

I think it will see a 6-figure weelky tally in December.

PS I think she will sell Thurs around 8/10k, Friday 4/5k and Sat around 10/12k Total 62/68k

I think around 65/70k will be the total for the week. As long as it beats America Life, which was around 60k I think.

200k?! Are you mad? :P Greatest hits are not strong sellers outside the xmas period. I think 50/60k is good considering the lead off single hasn't been well received, however I expect this album to stay well within the top 20 for the remainder of the year and pick up in the run up to xmas and probably have larger sales weeks around this time.

Madonna is never going to be a play it safe fashion icon. The reason many people became her fan in the beginning is because she stood out. Why should she conform now that she's in her 50's? If you want a zero personality star who wears whats "hip" then there is plenty to chose from on the charts.

Jo Whiley has no control over the playlist. I hope her US album date changes as it comes out the same week as Mariah will most likely beat her to US number one. More negative publicity. :o

With her tour about to rap up I would think she will go on a publicity drive for the GH. I think the track will still be added to Radio 1's playlist as it is the type of music they play. Unless of course like the rest of the BBC they are nto playing it cause of M's age. Here's to Madonna's 14th UK number 1. :)

That's funny cause I have been in several different clubs, gay and straight and everyone has loved it. What kinda club did you go to? Over 60.s ballroom dancing?

Surely Miles Away is a mistake. It would make sense on the Japanese version as that's the only place it was a hit. Where is Angel, True Blue? This used to be my playground? Deeper and deeper? Rain? You'll See? Don't cry for me Argentina? Hmm i don't think this list is real ^_^

OMG! give it a chance. It only got added to Itunes on Tuesday. There is no video yet or promo work.

I doubt very much she will remake any tracks, maybe remix and/or rerecord some. One of the new tracks is suppose to be going to be going to be dancefloor stomper. Would love a big anthem along the lines of I will survive.

She is under contract with warners to release another greatest hits package so technically she is still with Warners as she is required to participate and promote it. Lets hope though once she is completely free of them that the don't do what Michael Jacksons label has done and release a GH every year!!!

mmmmmmmmmm i'm jealous.

To be fair she is doing well in the only catagory she deserves this year. (Mainly because of the tour)
