Melodi Grand Prix 2013
Surprised at "I'm with you" making it. It's such an average song. Maybe it was just voted for because of Alexander Rybak.

Melodi Grand Prix 2013
I was shocked I thought she had won. She was in my top 4 anyway, so it's good.

Fjellfolk are quite nice. Probably not that memorable though.

Does anyone know somewhere this final is being streamed? I haven't watched a national final yet I feel like starting now.

Ireland 2013
Apparently Melanie Mccabe was going to sing Kiss Me There and she even had the song recorded but she withdrew at the last moment. I wonder if they'll ever release Melanie's version. Well I don't know if there's any proof of this but it wouldn't be that surprising. (I saw someone mention it on digitalspy)

It's definitely hard to know who will actually win this one. It'll be pretty nice going into a national final where it's not already a sure thing.

Ireland 2013
Inchequin - Son Kez/The Last Time He has a good voice....but I find the song a bit dull overall. I agree with Cal I wish there was more of the celtic instruments and less of the "Son kez" over and over. On first listen I'll give it a 6/10. Ryan Dolan Surprised actually, I was convinced his was going to be some kind of Brian Kennedy ballad. Still I'm not a big fan of this dance music really. I think it's a song that would definitely be better on a stage rather than on a youtube video. 6.5/10 Zoë Alexis Bohorquez - Fire Something doesn't sit right with me on this one. I don't feel like it has a great hook to it. Feel very underwhelmed by this one. That said it's another song that really needs a stage performance to really get a feel for it. 5/10 Aimee Fitzpatrick - Crashing Down I was liking this a lot at the start of the song but I kind of lost interest near the end. I'm sure it'll be a wonderful performance....but I was really counting on Aimee Fitzpatrick being my favourite. (She is...but that's not saying much) 7/10 Kasey - Kiss Me There It's not as bad as I was fearing given what people were saying. I like the "I ain't ever" parts but the rest is pretty poor. It seems like a song that will be totally dependent on the performance because it's not winning any points for the song. She's going to have to be vaulting herself around a pole to qualify. 3.5/10 I can't find a video of this song anywhere, which probably doesn't mean anything good. ?/10 Pretty poor pickings this time around. :( Maybe some of them will grow on me. edit: Kiss Me There can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/escireland

Ireland 2013
Inchequin is the one I'm most afraid of at the moment. They're supposedly a celtic band, I hope it wouldn't be Dervish all over again. I'm going to guess, purely based on what I've heard that it'll be Inchequin Vs Aimee Fitzpatrick battling it out to win. Maybe Zoe Alexis might be in with a shot depending. I bet Zoe could be one of the better performers. Kasey being a former member of Wonderland sends alarm bells ringing in my head. Since they're usually put in girlbands because they can't deal on their own. Ryan Dolan I haven't a clue, he's a complete unknown quantity right now.

Denmark 2013
Listening to it now, it sounds nice. Although I feel like it's something that will grow off me instead of on me. It's a little monotonous.

Switzerland 2013
First entry I've had a chance to listen to. It's very meh....there are people raving about it on youtube but it seems incredibly mediocre to me right now.

Aimée has a wonderful voice, I would love if she or somebody like her represented us at eurovision. To be honest one of my main hopes for this year is that our act gets some backing singers that aren't rubbish. Either that or somebody who can do like Nadine Beiler for Austria and perform on their own. Does anyone have any videos of Zoe Bohorquez? I looked her up but she seems to be nowhere. edit: Apparently Shay Healy is mentoring a duo of Rachel Murphy & Donna Taggart (it might be just a rumour though) Fxce2hAD1gk F6cvkheImM4 I like them but it'll all come down to the song. and then there's an unknown solo singer. (who'll probably be from westlife and then run away with the vote.....)

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
I would have liked to have seen more of the Snowmen rather than the ice lady and the evil snow globe. The snowmen were genuinely creepy but I thought they were underused. Also I would have liked to have seen the monster snowflakes attacking people.

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
I enjoyed this episode. Although Clara's personality bothers me a little. She seemed far too savvy for somebody who just met someone who lives in a phonebox in the sky. I figure maybe Clara keeps reincarnating and she remembers her past lives because she said at the end she wasn't afraid of ghosts.

Massacre at US primary school
Of course things can always be done, but whether they actually will be done is something else entirely. It sickens me to think that this probably won't change anything, I don't think it would be at all harsh to say that if nothing changes they're ultimately saying that this is ok. That actually horrifies me more than the deaths of these children and their teachers, that it could just happen all over again so easily.

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
The latest episode was ok I guess. It was pretty nonsensical though and not in the good way. I thought the villain was a bit of a letdown....what exactly was he doing? I didn't really understand that. He just had a vendetta against humanity?

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
Really enjoyed this episode much more than the previous two. I loved the whole focus on the Doctor's morality and the ending was great.

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
The episode was alright, nothing overly exciting really. I will admit it was strange that the Doctor just had Solomon killed outright. Even if the Doctor is a killer he's always shown distaste for it when it can be avoided. Usually if they die in the final moments it's because they betrayed his trust. I suppose Solomon did kill thousands of aliens already so I guess they had some sway on the doctors decision though. Still he's usually above that when it comes to killing. Almost to the point where it's us the viewers who can't understand why he would try to save somebody so cruel and evil. I'm not really liking how these episodes start off really. The doctor swanning around the place picking random people up (even moreso this episode with the egyptian queen and hunter guy who made no sense at all) I would rather his companions were actually his companions. Is that what it's going to be like with Oswen? Just dropping her off and picking her up every episode? It's getting a bit jarring.

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
Enjoyed the episode overall, thought it started a little on the shaky side but it got into the swing of things again pretty quick. I liked the Oswin character and the twist at the end was great. Edit: Has the name "Clara" actually been confirmed? The first time I heard about it I thought it was just gossip? Really I think this all becomes a whole lot more interesting if there is no Clara.

The Buzzjack world!
Britmasu wouldn't happen to still be around would they? edit: Map updated. I'll sort out the individual maps at a later date.

The Buzzjack world!
I'm going to update the map tonight. Just going to check any new requests and then upload it. I was wondering, are Palmouth and Hogan-burg still around? I'm not adding them unless they respond to this thread. (again)

X Factor 2012
I'd agree they have become so ridiculous with trying to be dramatic. Showing all these wannabes crying their eyes out and lashing out at everyone afterwards. Spending what seems like hours introducing everything....just SING people SING dammit. Maybe that somehow hooked people 5-10 years ago but it doesn't any more. I had already been going off X Factor, but that first show confirmed to me I won't be watching it again.

Aeroche should send a song called "Whine" to the next contest. :P
