I honestly thought Bulgaria hadn't got a hope....even though I really liked the song. Very surprised to see it almost qualified.

I still can't get over Lithuania coming 3rd. Where did that come from? Latvia and the Netherlands deserved better. :( and wow at Bulgaria almost qualifying instead of Norway. :o

Maybe Ireland and the Uk should try to become a part of Scandinavia? :P We're kinda close...

Interesting to see the Uk give nothing to Greece and only 1 point to Turkey. What happened there I wonder? :P

Surprised at Slovenia flop at 17th. Another bah at Netherlands at 15th. :( How in the blazes did Lithuania get 3rd? I'm totally missing something with this song. :blink:

Results of the first semi are on wikipedia, and I'm inclined to believe it because I'm lazy. Ireland came 6th. Russia won the semi while Albania came in 2nd. Iceland and Denmark came 8th and 9th :o Bah at Latvia with 16th.

I think we have one of these in the house. Gee I wonder if they're actually worth something on ebay.

Figures I voted four times for Spain, once for Iceland and once for Italy and I don't think Ireland gave any of them anything. :rolleyes: Spain for me was the stand out performance of the night, absolutely stunning performance. :wub: Seems like Europe are bored of Jedward, not that I'm complaining. It's time for something fresh. Although I have to say I wasn't pleased when Germany were voting.....it was like the whole crowd behind her was waving Ireland flags and wearing jed-heads and we didn't get a thing from them.

Englebert coming second last, that won't be going down too well. :drama: I'm happy with Sweden winning, not my favourite...and the more I see the performance the more I feel like too much of it is staging and dance moves.....but I still like the song. Really sad for Iceland, Denmark and Norway. Spain did reasonably well though.

Does Kurt Calleja (Malta) remind anyone else of Ross from Friends? Is it just me?

Bosnia & Herzegovina I have to put Bosnia & Herzegovina at 26 because it's just made such little impression on me during the whole contest.

I would have voted for the Netherlands tonight. Possibly Macedonia also.

I don't see this at all. The songs are so different, if anything it would be the other way around and Turkey would be screwed.

21 for Estonia I hope. (or maybe 18 would be better.....performing after Sweden) There isn't much it can go without being next to a ballad. :(

Ireland in between Macedonia and Serbia sounds good. They're all quite different in style.

Absolutely raging that Lithuania, Malta and Turkey got through over the Netherlands. To be fair, Malta were better than I originally thought....but still. The Netherlands really are just forever screwed aren't they? I honestly do wonder if they sent Helena Paparizou would it make a difference... I actually thought Ukraine had a really weak performance tonight.....she seemed very "throaty".

I think people are underestimating Macedonia and Slovakia. I wonder if Turkey really will qualify, I might they didn't last year so there's already a precedence.

I wouldn't be that surprised if the juries didn't take to Greece or Cyprus and it was televoting that got them through. It would probably be a little naive to assume the juries didn't like Russia.
