France (9) Sweden and Russia fought it out for a while....but then Sweden jumped ahead in the last few votes while Denmark and Serbia closed the gap on Russia. Poor Spain and France. :(

I just did one myself but I set the chances to what I thought would do well. The only country I put on max was Sweden, and it failed to qualify. I have no clue how Malta managed to make it through, I put it as low as could be. Overall I don't think what happened really reflects what I think will happen. I'm not convinced Italy will do as strongly this year as they did last year. Though I imagine they'll still make the top ten. I just can't help but feel a lot of votes for Italy came from people who were like "OMIGAD ITALY IS BAAAAACK" people. Not to mention the fact that when I feel Italy is better this year than last year that alone is bound to cause them to do worse. :manson:

I'm watching Avatar: The last airbender at the moment. It's really good...and the artstyle is really nice. :) In terms of older cartoons my absolute favourite would have to be The Rugrats. :wub: In terms of newer cartoons I really like Regular Show. I'm not sure if anyone ever watched a cartoon on cartoon network called Xiaolin Showdown? That was another of my all time favourites.

I'm the same, any game that involves timed presses (especially on a keyboard) I'm rubbish at. I got Moldova to 22nd place in the final. (Ahead of Ireland but behind Cyprus) Which is funny because that's what place they got in real life too. Although I'm pretty sure they played the sax better than I did. I don't think so. I mean what are the chances of two nul pointers in one semi? (Montenegro) Novelty voting will probably result in it getting some low points from countries here and there. (even if the juries don't like it much) It won't qualify though, not a hope.

I prefer it in icelandic.....but I still love this version. I don't think it'll move much in my rankings.

The name of this song sounds SO SO cheesy. I'm going to listen to it now. Edit: The song sounds nice....but I wouldn't get too carried away. There are quite a few strong ballads this year.

Russian jury != Other European juries

How can people put Russia in the top two/three? Isn't it obvious the juries will rate it poorly? This isn't just the public vote we're talking about (I'm sure it'll be top two/three in the public vote) Russia did poorly with the juries in the semi last year (16th), and it was only because Russia came 4th in the public vote that they were able to get 9th place and scrape through.. If anything the grannies this year could do even worse or just scrape through. I don't see Russia as being above dnq. Greece on the other hand.... Especially now that San Marino and Montenegro are in the second half along with them. There's so many things counting against them already.

Given the amount of dross in semi one, it would hardly be that surprising a qualifier. There's already so many songs in semi one the juries are possibly going to have a field day ripping apart. (not saying I agree with all of those songs being bad....but there's definitely that perception there)
