Ireland 2012
I don't think so, she's usually on a talk panel. (that's light hearted and funny)

This national final feels like such a formality. Jedward are obviously going to walk it.

Ireland 2012
Mistaken and Mercy were nice but I wasn't blown away by either of them Mistaken is definitely no winner, it "might" qualify if it gets the culture vote but that is iffy ground. I agree with Niamh about Mercy, it just seemed like for a song like that...there was so little going on. Donna really gave it socks but it wasn't enough to make performance go boom. I think Mercy would qualify with the right production, but I don't think we'd be very successful in the final.

I preferred the other song more and I wasn't overly fond of that song either. :/

Ireland 2012
Except last year Jedward didn't have a previous eurovision 8th place in their pocket. I wouldn't be surprised if the juries were voting with their eye on the prize rather than what the songs actually sound like.

Listening to a few more of the songs now. 1. Croatia 2. France 3. Iceland 4. Italy 5. Latvia 6. Hungary 7. Denmark 8. Cyprus 9. Albania 10. Switzerland 11. Ukraine 12. Belarus 13. Norway 14. Germany 15. Georgia I haven't heard them many times, so there are bound to be growers. I have to say from what I've heard so far, I'm kind of missing some good cheesy eurovision goodness. So many ballads and slow numbers.

Like where it first came out, what countries the directors came from....anything at all that might point us in the right direction.

I haven't had much chance to listen to the confirmed songs so far. I've heard Cyprus and France though. I quite like the french entry this year, Cyprus doesn't do a whole lot for me though. (the chorus is nice but everything else is a bit blah)

Being Human [Series 005]
Did it really say and the characters don't look any older than they were in the last season. They hardly even tried. Gutted I've only watched the first minutes so far......it's weird.

Ireland 2012
Listening to the songs right now... 1. Celtic Whispers ft Maria McCool - Mistaken Nice enough, would definitely be an interesting entry for Ireland. It drags a bit after a while though. I have a feeling it will all hinge on the live performance, it's the kind of song that would either be amazing/haunting live....or an absolutely unbearable slog. 2. Donna McCaul - Mercy Oh disappointment. :( I was banking on this being my "omgILUVit" track in the irish eurosong this year. It's all a bit clichéd and feels like it's been done before. Blah. 3. Una Gibney & David - Language of Love It's very happy, leaning on uncomfortably happy.....I'm not sure how eurovision would respond to it. Probably poorly....but if they have good chemistry on stage they could qualify maybe. Wouldn't bank on it. 4. Jedward - Waterline I can't help but feel like the title is trying to emulate a certain Swedish Winner.....maybe it's just me. I mean what does water have anything to do with this song? Could be really good live, I'm a little less nervous in terms of vocals since they fared alright with Lipstick. It seems like something that might have broader appeal than Lipstick. (if that's even possible :P :() 5. Andrew Mann - Here I Am I left this until last because I saw some people in the thread seemed to like it a lot. I really like it, could be really amazing live. Unfortunately I'm not sure if this has much chance. Jedward and Donna will probably be the top two in the public vote, even though Donna's song is rubbish. Overall I'd be happy to see Here I Am or Waterline represent us at Baku. Having said that I would rather Jedward didn't represent us a second time in a row. So I want to see Here I Am represent us. 1. Andrew Mann - Here I Am 2. Jedward - Waterline 3. Celtic Whispers ft Maria McCool - Mistaken 4. Donna McCaul - Mercy 5. Una Gibney & David - Language of Love

The Biggest Loser UK
Was watching this tonight as my mum had it on in the kitchen. I can't stand that Kevin guy. Something about him just seems so sneaky....rubs me up the wrong way. There seems to be some sort of pact going on but I'm not really sure as I haven't been watching too closely. (I usually see bits and pieces each week) I think Kevin is the leader of the pact. Happy that Sarah was saved. All the time the ones in the pact were going "I'm so gutted" all I could think was "good enough for ya!" Although they were kicking it so much in the teeth going to VTs of Sarah saying "oh I'm going hoooooome" every 10 seconds leading up to the voting that it was obvious there was going to be a "shock"
