Two of the songs I wanted got through (Ace Wilder and Outrigger) and two of them didn't. (EKO, Shirley Clamp) so I guess that's alright. Although it was the weakest semi so far. Pleasantly surprised with Ace Wilder, at the end I was hoping she'd make it direct but against Jessica Volcker I wasn't keeping much hope. Can't stand that Oscar Zia song, bleh.

My prediction for tomorrow: DTF: State of Drama, CatjaStina Akerstrom AC: Dr Alban & Jessica Volcker, Ace Wilder 5th: Outtrigger 6th: Oscar Zia 7th: Shirley Clamp 8th: Eko :( To be honest I have bugger all idea, this lot don't really stand out to me. The only one that seems like a dtf is State of Drama, clueless on the rest. I suppose Eko could cause an upset and squeeze into Andra Chansen.... The only one I kinda like on hearing the preview is Red.

I haven't really listened to any of the songs besides Saule Riet but I like that song, you don't really see much of that Balkan traditional dancing these days in Eurovision. I'd like to see Latvia send it to Eurovision.

Probably a poor prediction based on 1 minute but here we go anyway: DTF: Sanna Nielson, The Refreshments AC: Martin Stenmarck, J.E.M 5th: Panetoz 6th: Little Great Things 7th: Pink Pistols 8th: Manda I have no clue how to predict The Refreshments, but apparently they're a big deal in Sweden so I'll be lazy and just put them in the final.

Heartbeat is my favourite of the five songs. The movie song isn't too bad but I doubt I'd be able to get behind it the same way as with Heartbeat.

Eoghan Quigg entering with a song called "The Movie Song" fills me with despair.

I'm happy with who got through overall. Songbird, Survivor and Brother were the main three that I liked and they all made it in some form. Was really not expecting Songbird to go DTF. :o Chuffed to see it do so well though!

Now we just have to make sure not to send Dustin the Turkey. :P

I would love to see Ruth Lorenzo at Eurovision. Easily my favourite x factor contestant ever. With the right song she could really rock it. Funny to see Little Boots showing interest. It seems like the BBC are allergic to modern artists.

Probably the best case scenario all around. Luke coming third means he won't have to worry about the winners "curse" for males but making the final should assure him some deals. He won't have as much pressure too. I think the only thing at stake now is how successful a career Sam will get from this. As for Nicholas, I really can't see him doing any better than Leon Jackson and Joe Mcelderry. Anyone in Ireland tried voting? Got the numbers from the tv3 website. Decided I'd start with the final but I kept getting a "You are restricted from calling this number" message.

I've never watched: Avatar Any Lord of The Rings movie Inception Silence of the Lambs Fast and Furious The Avengers I'm pretty sure I saw at least one star wars film at some point.... To name just a few. My mum has never watched Titanic despite getting two videos of it in the past.

Dalisska has sent in our confirmation. I think the song will appeal more to the pop/dance orientated countries than the indie countries...but we'll see.

How many times can you change your entry?

Dalisska has confirmed our entry...I might end up changing it though. We'll see....I feel like I can get behind this song but I'm not sure if buzzjack will appreciate it. The song has been playing over and over in my head the last week or so.

On one hand I have something that seems very buzzjack friendly (maybe a bit too friendly....) and on the other hand I have something that will probably be very marmite. I'm starting to doubt both options now though. Like a lot of people, nothing is really jumping out at me.

Dalisska will be returning to the contest for BJSCLV too. (It's been 7 months, it felt longer though actually...)

I feel like I ought to actually go to Eurovision one of these years. Although it would be a far easier decision if the contest was being hosted in Ireland or the UK. How much do the tickets cost for Eurovision? Do they sell out insanely fast? (Are the tickets for next year already sold out? :P)

Was Carola falling over part of the interval act last night? I haven't seen anyone mention it and I'm honestly not sure what to make of it.....

It was a good episode but to be honest I'm a little unimpressed with the whole name of the doctor thing. It all seems a lot more like arty sentimental hooha than an interesting storyline. I don't really care what the doctor's name is.....I'm not sure I ever really cared actually. People are more than just their names. The monsters were a bit odd too, no explanation or anything. I'm quite ashamed that Ireland didn't give any points to Norway. I voted for it and my mum voted for it too. It was one of the songs we really agreed on. Yeah I've noticed this pattern, it's countries like Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine that are almost always at the top and then each year you just swap in one of the fail countries in the top spot. Maybe it will be Ireland's turn some day. It seems like each year only one or two countries can defeat the bloc voting. Every other country has to live with it. :lol:

To be honest I think we should just throw it all out there and go heavy metal for next year. :lol: Seriously though I do think we should try to broaden our horizons genre wise. Some kind of electropop or even some kind of song like Malta's Tomorrow would be interesting. We should probably send a female soloist next year.
