Montenegro 2013
I'm kinda divided on this. Don't really like the rap parts but I like the parts from Nina Zizic. Might grow on me. Better than last year anyway.
-
Azerbaijan 2013
Heard the song the other day. It's very dull and forgettable. There's far better ballads already in the contest. Was hoping for an uptempo song from them. :(

Bulgaria 2013
Happy with this, Samo Shampioni was my favourite of the three.....and the national final performance seems even better than the preview one. With this and the Netherlands song, this years Eurovision finally looks like it's on the up. Azerbaijan and Moldova to pick amazing songs now to top it off please.

Netherlands 2013
I think the idea that the juries save the "good" songs and the public saves the "bad" songs isn't really correct. If I remember correctly Iceland wouldn't have qualified last year if we had been counting on just the juries.....same with the Netherlands last year it was actually the juries that ruined them. With the voting change it really seems like a song will need the support from both the public and the juries, so if Netherland flops in either one there will be no Netherlands in the final. I'd like to think Birds stands out a little more than your typical ballad though.

Netherlands 2013
I think it's more than a borderline qualifier. I actually like it a lot on first listen. I don't agree that it doesn't have the potential to be instant.....it's classiness is very apparent I think. The only thing I could really see working against it is that it's another slow tempo song....and it's among a lot of slow songs at the the start of the first semi. Aside from that it shouldn't have much trouble qualifying. (It hasn't got a whole of competition really) I don't think it'll actually win the contest but it should qualify easily enough. This is the brightest it has looked for the Netherlands in a long time.

Green Room [2013]
Still, I think it could result in a situation where the winner isn't many peoples favourite. We'll see though. Making such a big change to the points system could make for a very unpredictable Eurovision this year at least.

Green Room [2013]
Doesn't this new points system make it more likely for a song that both the public and juries are kinda "middling" on to win though? The favourites (from both public and the juries) will get shafted for some song that just happened to get a good similar score from both the juries and the public.....but that's hardly a good way to win. It's like saying your country won because neither the public or the juries hated it enough.

Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
I don't really understand why they would give so much influence to the international juries. I wouldn't trust other countries to pick my entry that's for sure. It's practically begging for tactical voting.
-
Romania 2013
I can only laugh. Look at the faces he's making. Bonkers. Could definitely see a DNQ for Romania now. Other countries like Russia and Ukraine have come close to not qualifying in recent years...so I can't see Romania being untouchable when they send rubbish.

Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
You must be the prime example of a "grower" kind of song.
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
Happy Robin won over Ulrik at least. It's nice enough but nowhere near the epicness of Bed on Fire. :(
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
Oh dear, Tell the world I'm here is terrible. :( I would rather Robin win at this stage.
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
Gosh this voting is all over the place.
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
This falling song is incredibly boring. :/ Doesn't make any kind of impact.
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
To be honest those over the top entrances make me want to punch most of them.
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
Will the juries get behind Yohio though?
-
Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
I'd be happy with either Bed On Fire or Heartbreak Hotel winning it. Not really interested in the other 8. (although admittedly there's one or two I haven't heard) I'm slightly more for Bed On Fire at the moment.

FYR Macedonia 2013
This was really catchy, it was popping into my head all day today. It was a pretty instant song and hard to forget. I had it at #12 on my rankings but it surely would have moved upwards. Shame, it seems like a lot of strange and silly decisions are being made this year.

Israel 2013
Really happy to see my favourite win it. Not concerned about Forever at all, it was an underwhelming performance and would probably have kept Israel in the semis for another year. Also I believe Forever won the public vote by just 1%, not that convincing a victory. (Forever got 15% while Rak bishvilo and Toda La noche got 14% each.)

Israel 2013
Did you hear that Kathleen has pulled out of the Israel national final. Apparently she heard judges were saying they weren't going to vote for her and accused them of favouritism. http://12points.tv/all-news/item/1663-kdam...ayter-withdraws To be honest I'm kinda happy because it means my favourite has more of a chance now....but I did like Kathleen's song.

Belarus 2013
I prefer Rhythm of Love. Neither songs are really up to much music wise, but at least Rhythm of Love was funky. This in comparison seems a little dull.
-
Bulgaria 2013
To be honest I'm usually not in favour of overturning televotes....but on the other hand it's not a good idea if your singer isn't fully behind the song. They need to sort that out. I agree with Elitsa, the song was the weakest of the three.
