The bar is low for No.1 I think she has an easy chance to get there with physicals if the streams do fall off.
From the first few updates around the world and other site which are kind of indicators of how the song doing during the day, it's not THAT smashing so I would go lower with my expectations, Soundtracks really living in a world on their own and not connected to the main artist major work 99.9%.

Wait, why? It's song #20 in a very long album
78. Noah Kahan- Orbiter
I've been listening to the album since it came out, and I guess nothing will top my spotify end of year list, unless Taylor will release something, and this song will be my most played of the year but I never looked to see that it's even in the chart, let alone climbing this much?
It's song number

It's got 'Inside Out 2' Summer slot and is Disney Pixar's biggest IP, bar none! Whether people want another or not won't stop them from watching it. It'll be an easy $1bn+ for it and I will be surprised if it's any lower than $1.2bn (I'm predicting possibly closer to $1.5bn) but unlike 'Inside Out 2' (which didn't really have much competition iirc?), 'Toy Story 5' has viable competition just 2 weeks later... 'Minions & Monsters'... so we shall see!
'Spider-Man' will be different to other Superhero movies and will be the one to buck the recent trend, imo. The trailer is the most watched trailer over 24 hours when it hit 718.6m views in 24 hours! Nearly doubling the previous movie trailer record set by 'Deadpool & Wolverine' and also smashing the record of 475m, set by the trailer for 'Grand Theft Auto VI'! A lot of hype surrounding this 'Spider-Man' + I think the fact Tom and Zendaya star in 'The Odyssey' 2 weeks beforehand will have an indirect effect on it.... It's gonna be a TomDaya Summer... and also Winter with Dunesday!
Agree about SM, never thought otherwise, I talked in general, but we both think the same about TS, and SM. Also, Dunesday gonna kill it! And we still have Spider-Nolan summer :)

But biggest hit no. We've got Spider Man and Avengers Doomsday coming.
A. No one knows.
B. It can go over 1.5B like Z2 and IO2 and pass Spider man if this one won't do the numbers on the last one which most likely it won't as the whole genre went down, but even if no... it's gonna be HUGE and it's not even close to the last Star Wars which was never tracking that high, way way way more front loaded and also very US based than worldwide so - no.

Also its kind of ironic you have a Kylie video as your signature when she always does multiple variants herself 🥱
Lol, you got it so right. The haters gonna hate, poor Tay Tay :P

The only thing that's making me doubt it is that it's country, but she's going hard with physicals which her stanbase is gonna lap up so I can't see how it can miss really.
In the US it was sold out in 2 hours and there was 20 minutes line to buy them, in the UK it's not the case...
And also, let's face it, I'm sure it's pop-country and we can see how other country artists doing these days, they are all smashing basically, so I hope you're right but you can never be 100% sure.
I believe and hope there are vinyls for the second part of the week to ensure the number 1 :)

Agree with the comments that her soundtrack singles have been hit and miss (though 'Carolina' deserved to smash way more than some of her actual singles) but it looks like they're throwing everything at it so there's no way she's gonna miss #1 (as long as the song's not terrible).
Let's not jinx her lol.

Yeah, Olivia and everyone else is legit for doing so lately and charge $40 for one (!) single (!) vinyl, but only for her is forbidden cause she really selling them, lol.
I haven't bought it and I won't but at least it looks good, cheap and she put an effort in it and recorded it 3 times and it's not a copy paste versions.

"It's just a soundtrack single"
Yes it Is but look at all her social media look at all the teases so far etc etc the only times she has gone this hard before are at the start of new eras , this is definitely being treated much bigger than any soundtrack song she has ever recorded before,
heck its getting a lead single treatment with 3 cds, each with a different version, original, acoustic and a piano version
Also its 1 song this time its not a whole album
All true.

It’s a soundtrack single. She’s not had the greatest luck with those in terms of “chart success” and also, soundtrack singles rarely do *that* well right out of the gate.
It’s supposedly “going back to her Country roots”.
However, all that said and done, I believe this is her first soundtrack single whilst being THE Taylor Swift. So… who knows. There’s definitely more hype behind this than any of her previous soundtrack efforts.
But also… it’s going to be a real test as to which is stronger… Taylor’s fanbase or the UK’s reciprocation of Country music…. 🥲
But lets level those expectations and not be surprised when it does less than a million opening day (lets not expect lead single from a new album/actual era levels)
Agree with all and wish her the best and to be a great song and smash it all, but true, you can never know with soundtrack track, but the promo and the buzz is huge this time and the movie suppose to be an easy 1B one should help, but we'll see.

It's just matter of taste? I prefer RMI by much, I loved the song since day 1 and was surprised that it took it 8 months to blow up but it's a good song.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 05/06/26
in UK Charts
As Always (ish), soundtracks flops. She won't make in to number 1 here or in the US without push. She did release now 2 versions to buy digitally but I doubt it will do much, find it bizarre the psychicals are in 2 weeks when her situation is like this.
