US Billboard Top 200 Albums - (with sales)
Out of 9 studio albums 4 US number 1 albums 4 number 2's and a number 5 pretty big band. Not bad for a band still going after 18 yrs.

WHO KILLED KURT COBAIN??
The other thing to add to this is different people have very different tolerances, what could put one person on their arse will barely make an impact on another. Having spent years working with heroin users I would not be surprised in the least that they would be able to pick up and gun and shoot themselves - it wouldn't be the first time someone has done it.

New Release Schedule (Physical) : Monday 16 March
Pearl Jam Ten Deluxe is released on 23/3/09 sorry not sure if you include re-issues or Deluxe's in the list.

Leon Jackson - Creative
It was announced just prior to the performance that it will be however no word about when its being released, or even released to radio yet. Not bad based on one performance alone. Thought it was a great performance. In case anyone wants to see it heres the YT link http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=y7CN5T3k7ZI

Leon Jackson - Right Now (Album)
Got to agree i think people seem to forget he's only 19 and doesn't have anywhere near the level of experience almost every other XF contestant let alone winner has had. Not using that as an excuse but it is a fact personally even though i'm a fan i'm quite shocked at how much I like the album I didn't expect that to be honest. I think its a bit of a slow burn and as more people hear it they will but into it. Personally I don't think Don't Call This Love was the best choice for the first single but who knows many an artists sales peak after the 2nd or 3rd single.

Leon Jackson - Right Now (Album)
Yeah the nerves did I heard an interview with him yesterday and he said he was very frustrated as when he gets nervous his mouth dries up and it affects his vocal happens to the best of them Duran Duran were on last year and were absolutely dire. Also just as an aside I was at the studio for his performance and I can tell you the sound for entire show came over on TV alot worse than it did in the studio don't know what was up with that. We also spoke to him before the performance and he did admit to being very nervous.

Leon Jackson - Right Now (Album)
I think you have crossed wires here I think the other poster was referring to his performance on This Morning which I believe was a live performance whereas you are talking about his XF performance again which was live.

Possibly then again i don't recall any other XF contestants having the same sort of competition, also Brookstein's was timely released for the mother's day market.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Given their fanbase its hardly a surpise they've sold over 200million records worldwide and Back in Black is the second biggest selling album of all time selling 44 million almost half of that in the US.

Leon Jackson - Right Now (Album)
Its debateable whether Don't Call this Love is a cover as it was likely recorded (or at least the rights to the song were purchashed) around the same time as the Swedish girl that did it.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Fair enough in your opinion but in mine Leon does have a distinctive voice. While his performance on XF may have been awkward his performance on This Morning today was anything but. Leon is very new to this and without a doubt has a lot to learn - not all singers are natural performers from the get go some get better with time and experience.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Many great singers of the past and present don't write their own material I dare say people wouldn't dispute such singers as Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Billy Holliday were artists but I guess coming from a reality show means he is dismissed. For the record Leon has co-written the singles b-side and has actually been quoting in the press as liking Peter Kay not the other way around.

Predict: Leon Jackson First Week Sales
Leon is getting tons of airplay hes on all the main playlists apart from radio 1, and its getting good reviews. I expect as soon as the video is available that will also get high rotation play. £100k at least I reckon - hopefully a shed load more.

Artists to never have a UK No.1
Oops my mistake thanks
-
Artists to never have a UK No.1
Nick Cave has never had a number 1 either here or in his native Australia the closest he got on the album chart was No 4 UK No 2 Aus with his most recent Dig Lazarus Dig. The closest he got on the singles chart is Where the wild Roses Grow (with Kylie Minogue) No 8 UK No 2 Aus. Pearl Jam have also never had a UK number 1 the closest they got was number 2 with Vs. Add Soundgarden to that list closest No 4 with Superunknown.
