EOM is till #1 on spotify and apple, why would they move to the next single while this one is still the most streamed song in the country?

And IDW peaked at #4, so your point must be that both are singles just because they charted. OMG is the 2nd single in the US (it's been serviced to radio there), it was never promoted to a single in the UK (EOM is still on the BBC Radio 1 playlist). There is a possibility that EOM won't be a single in the UK, she already had a similar situation with 21, "Rumor Has It" was a US single and "Turning Tables" a UK one.
  3. No bubble burst. Adele has her own label (Melted Stone Ltd.) and owns her masters from this album forward. If you look at the credits for 30's label on spotify it says "2021 Melted Stone under exclusive license to Columbia Records, a Division of Sony Music Entertainment".
  4. Right, she actually made more money this week as #2 album than Sheeran's #1, selling more physical sales (and not being discounted was another plus). :cheer:
  5. Actually Adele did sell more (physical albums) but lacked in the "imaginary album" sales.
  6. Adding MC made a 3.6k difference (since "Bad Habits" streams weren't weighed down and it being #3 song also increased average for songs 3-12 therefore increasing streaming units for songs #1-2). He really mastered the charts manipulation.
  7. Sheeran's CD's, vinyl and digital downloads were discounted everywhere. Also by including "Merry Christmas" on the album his streaming sales were 3.6k higher than they would be without the song (because the total weekly streams for "Bad Habits" were converted into sales and it being #3 song also increased the average of songs 3-12 which counted as streaming sales for the 2 most streamed tracks - MC and "Shivers"). If my info is correct he sold 423 copies more than Adele's 30.

The last time Sheeran won voted award (not global success one) was in 2015. "Divide" and SOY didn't win any Brit awards. I don't see him winning anything this year either.

Apple Music streams were not accounted at all for the first 2 days, so it got a bigger bump on Monday update. The race will be very close, since the Christmas songs tend to decrease during week days, and EOM usually increases. We'll get the real picture of how things are shaping up in the Wednesday update (will Sheeran additionally decrease during the week as is the case with new songs).

Sheeran was at 20.1k (7.6k downloads) yesterday, Adele at 9.7k. So he added 13k in a day, she added 9.5k.

Wham and Mariah are climbing because the Sunday streaming sales were added, but on Monday their streams on spotify dropped 34%, while both Adele songs gained in streams 3-6% and are higher on AM. It's possible that in tomorrow's update Adele will be #1, #2 and #3 on singles chart.

This will be 3rd week "Shivers" declines in sales (down more than 4k week to week at this point), is it going to ACR this week or the next?

I believe it's in direction relation to how much money are streaming services paying for each stream.

Are "Bad Habits" and "Shivers" going ACR this week (3rd week declining in sales) or next week?
  15. 30 is a double vinyl, that's why it's more expensive.
  16. The total is for 12 songs.
  17. They are not excluded, the streams for top 2 tracks are downweighed to the average of the next 10 tracks. If an album has more than 12 tracks, the 13-... streams are not counted for album units.

There were 4 or 5 weeks just for "folklore" when the sales jumped from 10-12k to more than 100k, just enough for the album to be #1 in the US.

In the last year spread over 4 albums she signed 700-800k CDs and vinyls (primarily for US)... that's quite believable. ;)

ABBA selling 6.5k yesterday, TS doing 2.3k. So she'll need 15-20k of the signed CDs to be #1 at the end of the tracking week.

Actually there was a mistake in the yesterday's OCC article. EOM was not leading over S with 1k, but with just 85 sales (12,555 vs 12,470). Today the lead increased - 231 sales.

Regarding "All Too Well" being lower than expected, there are several possibilities. The first is that the two versions are not combined, and one of the reasons for that (mentioned on another music forum) is that the versions lengths differ more than 1 minute (which could be a problem for Hot 100 too). The second - most of the streams come from free accounts on spotify (ratio 1:600). For comparison, EOM sales are 125% higher than ATW (more than double).

Considering "Fearless TV" debuted with 21k it will be hard for "Red TV" to be #1 with those or slightly better numbers (since vinyls are available this time around). I wouldn't be surprised if Rod Stewart's new album ends up being her biggest competition (among the new releases).
  24. Source is the same person who provided the accurate numbers for Sheeran and the Adele-Sheeran singles "battle" last week, therefore he is very trustworthy (I'm sure we'll have official source tomorrow). It's possible that not all the pre-orders have been counted on the first day (92k is pure sales).
