According to a poster on digital spy Adele's first day sales were 150k! No idea if this is true, of course.

Whatever she may be 'globally', I just hope this extreme success doesn't spoil her. It would be an absolute travesty (Joss Stone anyone? Puke). Don't think it will but who knows?

I keep saying this but I'll have another go - '21' has smashed it just about all over the World so not sure it's a massively valid theory. I still maintain that her November 2010 Jools Holland appearance was the main catalyst for what's come since. If Adele had appeared on there and sung Whale Whale Whale she would have bombed, no matter how the X factor may have helped in getting her name back out there. Not all about publicity, a lot of it is to do with doing stuff that genuinely moves/stuns ppl. PS Duffy IIRC got 2 songs on her return to Jools - Adele got one. But what a song/performance it is!

Under my (patent pending) way of measuring these things, Gaga is on 83mm (Adele combined 263mm, Jessie J 155mm). An also ran this week, a selling plater up against Nijinsky and Shergar...unless.

Jessie J is definitely catching up! I get it at 263mm for Adele combined and 155mm for Jessie J :naughty: I guess it's all about whether the video can save Gaga's bacon now.

Simply incredible. She performed RITD on Letterman (even Letterman was in shock at the end!) so this could be why it's rocketing up itunes. Incidentally, last time I looked '19' was in the top 10 on US Itunes and top 10 on Amazon.com! Letterman performance: She's on Ellen tomorrow (more amazing exposure). I'm hoping SLY will get a live release all over the World - it would simply slay the charts everywhere (like You're Beautiful but it won't get annoying from the inevitable overplaying).

But most of the songs that have climbed past her/remain ahead of her are older releases than BTW so it's not great whatever spin you try and apply.

I remember her saying when she sang MYFML at The Tabernacle web stream that the way it's so popular with everybody now seems weird because when she released the song 'no-one gave a f***!' :lol:

To be fair, it could hardly look worse than the pudding bowl comb over of before.

Yes, I don't think SLY the song is getting amazing airplay yet but it's true that everyone is talking about it. It's a big topic of conversation on facebook and twitter as well - and unlike talk on the radio the YT video is often linked to so that ppl can be watching it within seconds (the views for all the uploads of the Brits performance of SLY will probably overtake the actual itv viewing figures for the show in the next week or so)

And the rest, depending on whether or not GaGa's impending video has the effect her fans expect it to. Give Adele's Brit performance another week on you tube and its combined views will rival the actual itv viewing figures for the entire show! The video has sort of become viral now.

Any way of determining her current worldwide sales for '21'?

I'm not even sure she drives, TBH.

Never watch 'em myself but haven't the TV music channels been showing the Brits performance? If so, why the need for a new video, all that needs to be seen is there.
