Matador/Da Frame 2R
Well, I know Domino sales are chart-eligible, HMV would appear to be sold out (no idea how many they had), and IIRC the number 2 single last week sold less than 10,000 copies? Time will tell...

Matador/Da Frame 2R
Mine's just arrived, very nice as well. Bizarrely, it has a small pic of the lads in a rowing boat  Anyway, as this doesn't appear to be quite as limited as Domino at first suggested, this could go Top 20 next week, lol. Especially given the very poor singles sales in the charts atm. Would be pretty funny, eh?

PREDICT: Kate Nash - Foundations
Whilst I really like it, far too quirky to have massive public appeal IMHO. Sadly. Although may end up Top 20.

Fluorescent Adolescent - 2nd Single
Reminder: Video has its World exclusive airing tonight on Channel 4 at 11.40pm. Spoiler alert!!! Only highlight below if you want to read what it contains! According to an 'insider' who's seen it, it features clowns, fighting, a car being blown up and pics of the lads when they were young. Crikey[/font].

No worries, FA is going to be the number 1 Mardy Bum should have been.

Alex Confesses Love For Beyoncé
Hmmm....I think this may be akin to them saying they were going to fly onto the Glastonbury stage. It was clearly a urine take but loads of websites picked up on it as if it was genuine. I think they are just having a laugh with the press, they've always done it. The best one was before the 1st single came out, a Times photographer (he got the job because he said he knew what they looked like!) was dispatched to Sheffield to get some exclusive pics of the band. They convinced him that Matt was the lead singer and so Matt was in the foreground of every shot. Matt's mum (Phoebe) was so pleased her son had been featured so prominently she wrote to The Times to thank the photographer personally and request copies of the pics!

Reverend and The Makers
Heavyweight is number 11 in the Midweeks as well. Very encouraging. The rip of their Live lounge can be found on their official forums (as mp3s aren't allowed here) It seems like the NME have a new plaything! http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic...mforum=reverend (VERY rude language contained within!)

And Matt has (thankfully!) progressed to a proper drum kit now! http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire/music/...ges/judan09.jpg

Reverend and The Makers
ALL TRUE! Matt and Alex had their first ever gigs in Jon's (Reverend) then band Judan Suki (in late 2002, I think). Jon is the brother of Chris McClure, the bloke on the cover of the monkeys' debut album. In fact, here's a pic of a certain little scamp playing on stage at The Boardwalk (legendary Sheffield music venue!) with Judan Suki: http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire/music/...ges/judan06.jpg Jon is the 'Daddy' of the Sheffield music scene of the noughties but has deliberately delayed releasing any recorded work until the furore surrounding the Monkeys died down a bit. They have every chance of being a massive success, there's loads more hits on the way!

Fluorescent Adolescent - 2nd Single
Yeah, the single will definitely sell very well, but it won't continue to sell like the album will (i.e. over several years, hopefully). It will be her 'small-ish' cut of the album sales (I suppose she could qualify for 1/24th of the royalties, lol) that could provide a nice long term source of extra income.
-
Fluorescent Adolescent - 2nd Single
The single royalties will be absolutely dwarfed by the ones from the album sales, tbh.

Fluorescent Adolescent - 2nd Single
There's a bloke on the Oasis forum who detests AM like you would NEVER know - and he too has had to admit that he absolutely loves FA. FA followed by 505 as singles should get the band new fans who previously wouldn't have thought about getting the album. We'll see.

What Would You Like The Singles To Be Off FWN?
FA has just just appeared on the B-List on Radio 1s playlist. Even more exciting IMHO is Reverend and the Makers' Heavyweight Champion of the World has been A-listed!! :yahoo: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/playlist.shtml#blist

Total UK Sales So Far
I'm amazed at some people commenting on how 'poorly' this album has sold (not in this thread, but on Haven's chart thread in particular). Seems like there are a few people who are almost praying for them to crash and burn, which is a bit sad IMHO. This was never going to sell as many as the debut in the first few weeks but to be number 5 in the YTD album sales chart after 4 weeks would be classed as an amazing achievement for any other band, let alone an Indie one.

Very interesting....
I wouldn't be surprised if Helders makes an appearance.

Very interesting....
They have apparently already shot the video for FA (with the bloke who starred in WTSGD video).
