Does anyone know when the cut-off time is for sales of albums for the chart positions please? My friend says Saturday (therefore 6 days sales) I say Sunday! Thanks

Can someone please tell me how many copies of "The Very Best Of The Searchers" compilation CD have been sold since it was released in May? My friend told me they are getting a silver disc so it's obviously around 60,000 sales but as a diehard Searchers fan it would be good to know exactly how many they have sold. Do you know how many Bobby Vee sold too as his was released around the same time? Thanks very much!

Not a stupid question! What about the thousands of CDs given away in some newspapers and also on Computer magazine covers! It's as if they cost pennies to make yet we pay £8.99/£10.99 upwards for them! When does a music CD become a budget CD anyway?
