  3. Hallo ^_^ Could you guys & gals please name some symphony/opera-metal bands with FEMALE lead vocals? I've kinda just discovered this genre while listening to a random LastFM station and Im utterly taken by it. Trance is what I listen to most and I find something similar here - delicate female vocal with agressive backing instruments (instead of kick-drum its ragin guitars). Im hooked and cant get enough of this stuff. Im looking for bands like this. This is such an epic song what an amazing vocal :w00t: qmLIE6ULtyU Im looking for more stuff like this, please if you have a moment name some, thank you ^_^
  4. O M G Loreen - Euphoria TUUUUUUNE I swear the Swedes are the masters of Eurocheese, I love this choon!!! Win Sweden I hope you win!!! :)
  5. :o Help Hallo everyone ^_^ I admit Im not the chart-music type but sometimes a tune comes on (we have Radio 2 at work) that just strikes a chord with me! And its happened now big time. All I know is that its a bunch of gals singing. Its a pop-song but not bubblegum pop..I hear an acoustic guitar and lots of synths. The chorus I think is really nice. Ok these are the two lines from the chorus that I could pick out: I feel like hell today I get so lonely when you turn away Any ideas?????? Thank you!!
  6. I hate the song but I have a feeling the Swedish one will get it
  7. How could Slovenia not get in that is such a nice song and she sings so well. I tell you this ESC gets on my nerves sometimes <_<
  8. WTH No Belarus (what a perfect cheesy Euro-chorus) No Bulgaria (that was a nice candy-rock song I thought!) :(
  9. WTH  Where is Paddy and that one girl he used to present the semis with? They got binned by the BBC? Awww man they were SO much fun and their enthusiasm was so real...semis for ESC wont be the same... Ive obviously been living in a cave cuz I had NO idea this had happened....

Hallo  I just watched an episode of CSI: Las Vegas. The episode was called Wild Life. There is a scene in a nightclub and in the background is a tune....a tune I REALLY like! Please could you all have a listen to it? Just check out the YouTube video below. Please forward the video to 1:05 secs. The club scene will begin just a few seconds after this. kumVm5DM5Go You hear that song in the background? Anyone know what it is? :o Thanks!!
  13. Oh thats good to know, nice to see some talent instead of having everything written!
  14. Has she had a hand writing any of the songs? Will check it out on YT!
  15. http://www.anikaos.com/0009-cactus/kaos-cactus22.gif Im in the exit tunnel on the way out of my cave as you read this!
  16. I admit a part of me kinda missed that! Yea good luck to Josh, as always ESC is such a gamble for artists for some it pays off (Jade got a slot in a popular girl band) while other slide into forgotten-land. I really hope Lena does an album, I like her sound and the comparisions with Bjork are inevitable.
  17. I dunno if anyone else felt this (and I dont mean to diss the lovely Norwegians) but gosh it seems just impossible to top that magnificent stage the Russians put out in 2009 for the ESC in Moscow. That was a mind-blowing IT feat, huge monitors all over the place (even the floor) that reflected the mood of the songs perfectly and it all resulted in a staggering visual treat. After seeing that and then seeing Oslos "ordinary" stage somehow it just lacked the punch of it all. Ok this aint about the stage I know its about the songs and the whole ESC atmosphere but still...just thought Id throw this out there! On the other hadn I really liked the Norwegian hosts, they did an awesome job and I think the nicest touch was when they walked around the green room giving a short intro and background to each act. Oh yea and the whole flashmob dance thing! As for UK entry - Josh is a decent fella and he can sing but as always with us - wrong song :( WTH was that, felt like a rewind back to 1982, geez. As for Lena & her songwriting team - deserved win. Wicked song :)
  18. Lol @ this thread hee hee ^_^ Esc 2011 eagerness!
  19. Will be interesting to see the stage setup in Norway. IMO Moscows stage has set the standard and will be hard to top. Absolutely amazing and totally complimented all the songs with different themes  Norways IT techs have their work cut out for them ^_^
  20. I TOTALLY agree, in fact if you watch her ealier performances you will see how nice the song is. Much more relaxed, check it out: WuNLYbEB32g Now why didnt she sing it like that in the final!
  21. This year was definetly high-caliber stuff (dont like the winning song though!). Estonia - what an awesome tune, very Enyaesque with a nice electronica element to it as well. The steady kickdrum towards the end was a great surprise, it went awesomely! Sweden - really upset it did not do better. Excellent vocal and a good remix can turn this into a proper vocal-trance anthemn. Very uplifting but it was not want Europe wanted. Written by the same dude who wrote Swedens Hero last year. Portugal - Where to start this tune just makes you wanna shake your hips and smile. Excellent tune and the band has real talent. All the best to them. Iceland - Brilliantly done, a very feel-good song and top-drawer delivery from Yohanna who sang it from the heart. Bosnia & Herzegovina - Wicked anthemn here, the chorus just makes you wanna stand to attention and salute! I like the "poster-pose" where she held up the red cloth. Great band, they deserved more. Denmark - cant deny it...its a catchy track and this one had my GF boppin along! Romania - A sweet chorus that sticks in your head but Im not so sure who sang the lead. Was it lip-synched? And I wish the cameras had acknowledged that other (who gave the real vocal?) singer in the corner! Armenia - Sorry but :puke: Norway - Sorry but :puke: again
  22. Those pools were mental, never seen anything like it! So..different! Really good show in Russia. The one to beat for sure.
  23. After the winning country is presented with the Eurovision prize they should give some recognition to the designers, engineers & computer boffins behind the stages at the ESC. In my opinion the stage at this years ESC was the best I have ever seen. Technically and visually fantastic. Even the floor was covered in screens. And the WAY those screens showed imagery that potrayed the mood of the music was so so cool. My fav song was from Estonia and the outer-space theme on the stage-screens was perfect for them. Starscapes, swirling galaxies and everything. And who can forget the stage on that awesome Portugese songs. Bright & happy! Excellent work by the technicians, electricians and computer-nerds who made this possible. It looked so great on my old TV I can only imagine how grand it must have looked like in person. You guys with massive plasmas must have appreciated it  Well done Russia! Oslo has its work cut out for it if they wanna top this one and it will be interesting to see what they do! ^_^
  24. I do not like the winning song at all TBH but congratulations to him, I gather he wrote it himself. Some quality talent on the show tonight my fav was ESTONIA. Absolutely stunning performance and great song as well. Im totally gonna check out their music online. Really enjoyed Portugal, such a happy sounding track! I hope more bands sing in their native tongue. On to Oslo then!
  25. I voted for Estonia, their song was just fantastic. The lead vocal was amazing and the best part was the way they fused the trancey drums with their strings! Good luck Urban Symphony
