  6. McFly: 'We'll show the fans everything' McFly have promised to show their fans "everything" via their upcoming Super City web presence. The band, who gave away their album Radio: ACTIVE free with The Mail On Sunday in 2008, told The Guardian that the music industry has changed in recent years. Of the decision to give away Radio: ACTIVE, drummer Harry Judd said: "At the time, we were trying to think about how we could do things differently and keep up with the record industry." Discussing the planned Super City subscription service, available for £6 month, singer Tom Fletcher added: "We're just going to be completely open and show the fans everything. And why not? I think you have to be. "The music industry is different now. In the olden days, that distance between you and your idols made it special. But now people are craving information, and you have to [provide it]." He also suggested that he might put up demos of new material on the website before he even plays them to his bandmates and added that fans will have input on single choices and live setlists. McFly: 'Our album is international' McFly have revealed that they hope to compete on an international level with their new album. The group, who have worked with pop producers including Taio Cruz on the LP, admitted that they hope to attract a larger audience with their new sound. "We worked with producer Taio Cruz on this album! But we changed because we wanted to compete on an international level," singer Tom Fletcher told NME. McFly have released four studio albums, with their most recent - 2008's Radio:ACTIVE - given away for free with The Mail On Sunday. Their as-yet-untitled fifth studio LP will be released in November, preceded by the single 'Party Girl' on September 6. From Digital spy

Mcfly perform On tonights Alan Carr:Chatty Man and the Lottery Saturday night plus the lastever GMTV on Friday so that could help They had a sell out concert yesterday which seemed to have gone down well and had the crowd of all ages singing along to some of their older songs aswell as Party girl and there was a preview of some album tracks too I think they still have a big enough fanbase to help but if they don't make number 1 with party girl im sure they will have a bigseller off this album at some point

I think it stands quite a good chance of being number 1 The Guys have gone away for almost 2 years and worked on the album I think this album will bring in a whole lot of new fans and now the fans are alot older i think they will be better as a download act too. From their concerts lately it looks as if they have lost alot of the younger fans I've heard Party Girl played on Radio1 about 6 or 7 times this week and have seen it on the Box quite a bit and was number 4 yesterday in their chart. They do lack Tv promotion though with only magic numbers so far but they will be performing 'Party Girl' (and Possibly another track) this sunday on Alan Carr and the lastever GMTV next Friday so that could help They have done a lot of radio promo though
  11. Thats ok The 'super Site' will cost £6.00 per month but fans will get exclusives such as chances to go to signings get concert tickets before they go on sale and hear music first with their album being released on the super site in October and in shops november ' In October a new "super site" launches that will pave the way for other young acts to launch their own subscription-based sites. McFly's venture aims to combat piracy by offering its users music by the band as soon as it's recorded – before it becomes available anywhere else. Costing £250,000 to build, the site provides free content, but it's the subscriber sections, giving fans access for a fee of £6 per month, or £50 per year, which render it like a fan club. "This is the modern day equivalent," said McFly's manager Fletch, who helped set up the site. "Where it differs is we are a one-stop shop. You couldn't have had music distributed through a fan club – you had to go to the retailers." Bands are realising just how important their fans are, by offering a unique hub to find the latest news and music. Here are some more connecting with their fans on the web in interesting ways. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...al-2062958.html
  12. The music channels are showing the video and the BOX is showing it every hour (not sure how long for though)

  21. When On Tour they really do rock they put so much effort and energy into it Here's a few Lies from Radio:ACTIVE 2008 Black or white Cover Radio:ACTIVE 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST_M-Q_2qro Everybody knows http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb6DGjyTd2g...feature=related Pinball Wizard cover from 2005 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da6UL4muC08 Thing is in the past they've not allways released the best songs and some of the fans fans favs tend to be the rocky ones like too close for comfort from 2005 She falls a sleep from 2005 was very different to anything else mcfly has ever done and went down well and really shows their talent
