  4. McFly star Danny Jones has revealed that the band's new album is influenced by Prince and Michael Jackson. Jones, who was voted off Popstar To Operastar last night, told the Daily Star that the album is "killer". "We've got the material and are building up the McFly massacre," he said. "The album's an absolute killer. It's got a Prince and Michael Jackson influence." Jones added that the group are working with Taio Cruz and American producer Dallas Austin on the record. "Taio's a really cool guy," Jones explained. "We've written tracks with him and we're now trying to get him to produce one. "It was awesome working with Dallas as he's a bit of a party boy - he thinks he's our fifth member. He's coming over to the UK to produce four or five of our songs From Digital spy
  5. Danny Jones has confirmed the release of a new McFly album later this year. The singer-guitarist told BBC Newsbeat that the group have been working with a number of collaborators on the record. Jones said: "A McFly album will be coming soon, I don't know when. We think late summer-ish. It's all in talk at the minute, it's very exciting for us. "We've been writing with the likes of Dallas Austin, who did TLC, Pink, Monica, worked with Anastasia, Katy Perry." He added: "So it's really interesting for us to work with that sort of partnership because we've never done it before. "We could be the safe McFly and write the songs we do and keep being safe but then we want to take it to that next step and be more adventurous. So that's what we're doing this year." McFly's frontman Tom Fletcher has promised that the follow-up to 2008's Radio:ACTIVE will "blow you away". Danny is on Popstar To opera star Friday's 9pm ITV 1 From Digital Spy

Xmas does look brilliant. DONT FORGET There's a Murder in the Square on Thursday(26th Nov) and it's an Hour-Long Special from 730pm and there's also a new EastEnders revealed at 830pm on BBC3

That Hour-Long airs 730-830 On Thursday 26th November Sadly it's going to clash with Both Emmerdale and Corrie. Emmerdale will be an Hour-Long(2episodes put together)7-8 Corrie is on at 8pm with Im A celeb at 830 so it's the first time Enders/Corrie have clashed since 2001 but will EastEnders win the clash again? Ithink if the BBC advertise this gripping hour-long then they stand a big chance

Well they did Tour Japan,Aus and Brazil earlier this year too Yes with their Record label they were hardly ever allowed togo to other places so it's nice for them to have sell out tours in other parts of the world. They have worked hard on this new material. yes the Europe Tour sold out and so did the Japan/Aus/Brazil Tour earlier this year and ithink they were kind of surprised about it. good on them for sticking with it i say!

  16. EXCLUSIVE: 'EastEnders' films Michael Jackson reference Friday, June 26 2009, 15:09 BST By Kris Green, Soaps Editor BBC soap EastEnders has filmed a last-minute EXCLUSIVE: 'EastEnders' films Michael Jackson reference Friday, June 26 2009, 15:09 BST By Kris Green, Soaps Editor BBC soap EastEnders has filmed a last-minute scene to be edited into tonight's episode referencing Michael Jackson's death, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal. A scene towards the beginning of the episode will see Denise Wicks (Diane Parish) wish her surrogate father Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) a happy birthday, before mentioning the sad news of Jackson's passing. The show will also contain a track from the King Of Pop playing in the background of a scene elsewhere in the episode. EastEnders' executive producer Diederick Santer said: "There are some news stories and events which get everyone talking, and this is one of them. Given the quick turnaround, it's only a small scene, but I hope it reflects to some extent the impact Michael Jackson's death has had." Over the years, EastEnders has filmed several last-minute topical scenes and edited them into episodes on the day of transmission. The last occasion saw Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) reference Barack Obama's election as America's first black President to daughter Stacey (Lacey Turner). In addition, a number of football references have also been added, with Minty Peterson (Cliff Parisi) and Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves) citing West Ham victories and the World Cup. A spokesperson for the show confirmed: "We will be making a reference in tonight's episode to Michael Jackson's death. We always aim to reflect topical events that we think will strike a chord with our audience and have previously filmed additional scenes including the election of Barack Obama and England's participation in the World Cup." The three other major UK soaps - Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks - all confirmed to DS that no last-minute editing will be made to tonight's episodes.

Heres the review to Mcfly's Radio:ACTIVE tour live at wembley(ASDA offer £7.00 this week) McFly at Wembley - an essential live DVD? Friday, 15 May 2009 13:01 McFly at Wembley - an essential live DVD? Printer friendly version Rob Hurst on a surprisingly and stellar Wembley show from McFly, captured on their Radio: Active live DVD. Thanks to a last minute free ticket, I was an audience member for the show captured on this DVD, the final night of the Radio:Active tour at Wembley Arena. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting to enjoy myself much, just to tag along for a semi-ironic sing-along and drink some overpriced beer... However, it. Was. Brilliant. I've been waiting for this DVD forever (or at least it feels like it!) so was thrilled to finally see a release date and get hold of a copy to re-live my McFly awakening. It doesn't disappoint. My previous experience of McFly had been radio-friendly singles (seven number one singles and a further six landing in the top three) so I knew the melodies and a few choruses but the live show is a far cry from the recordings with pounding drums, chugging bass and huge guitar melodies – I was transfixed from the set's opening track, One For The Radio, the first single from their Radio:ACTIVE album. The sound translates very well into the recordings effectively transporting me back to the footage captures much of the excitement of the show but struggles at times to capture the energy of the fans, who spent the entire show either screaming or singing along. Other highlights of the performance include single, Obviously, a cover of Michael Jackson's Black or White and Star Girl which saw the band climb aboard a flying stage that half-way through the song carried them over the crowd's heads into the centre of the arena for the next three tracks. The show's closing number Five Colours In Her Hair clears up any misconception that McFly don't deserve their success, with the mature, polished performance a far cry from the fresh-faced pop-tastic official video shot in 2004. The DVD also offers a documentary filmed on the tour featuring interviews with the band and clips from all the regional shows offering fans the chance to see a little of whichever show they attended themselves, which is a nice touch. The boys are very likeable and the documentary makes interesting viewing although a few scenes featuring drinking, hangovers and other adult behaviour are possibly slightly concerning in a DVD likely to be purchased for a lot of children. As with all self-commissioned tour/band documentaries the lovey-dovey, best friends relationship the band share is the main focus but credit where it's due the boys look to be enjoying themselves and their recent departure from Island Records seems to have lifted a weight off their collective shoulders allowing the band more freedom to explore their creativity and in the words of Tom Fletcher: "It's our best tour yet." The DVD is a short on any other features with the only offering being the documentary but the show itself runs to around 90 minutes so should leave most satisfied, although I feel a couple of music videos wouldn't have gone amiss. Overall I don't think this DVD will win the band any new fans but anyone lucky enough to have seen the band live will thoroughly enjoy the whole affair and anyone who hasn't - I suggest you check them out when they return from Latin America to rock the Isle Of Wight later this summer.

yes Mcfly seem to spend alot of time in Brazil also but then again they had a number1 selling DVD over there and a number of sold out concerts with another 7/8 sold out gigs coming up. yes Wonderland was allways my fav tour dvd but this one tops it by miles Mcfly are going to Australia,Germany,Japan,Brazil again in the coming months and with the mexico gigs cancelled due to the swine flu you never know they might decide to go to Ukraine

It is Mcfly's best DVD yet Its the whole Radio:ACTIVE Arena tour filmed at wembley Back In November and also has a special 70mins back stage with the guys What country are you from? As iknow Brazil have released special downloads of 5 or 6 tracks taken from the tour including Lies,Corrupted,POV,star girl and more

They won't split not only do they enjoy it but they are the best of freinds and yes even if their album flops they still sell-out big arena Tours which is where they get their money and they know that as they have mentioned it a few times For the first time since they started 5 years ago they have gone to other places around the world something their label wouldn't let them do They have had a number of sell out concerts in Japan,Brazil,Mexico,Amsterdam and Australia and they have a few more coming up plus a lot of sold out Uk summer shows so really having an album that flops will hardly affect them as they are making their money via concerts they have just had a 14 date sell out Uk Small venues tour and Planning an Uk Arena Tour for the end of the year too As for this era There are much better songs on the album then 'Lies' its just for some stupid reason they released the worst song they have ever done'Do ya' i think with the next album they will choose the right songs

Everyone is allowed an opinion yes But for some people to say Mcfly have no talent is just wrong Tom is 23 the rest are younger then him and yet they all seem tobe able to play guitar, drums, piano and more as well as produce their own songs in their own studio not to mention having no backing from a label now that they are on their own. Yes Mcfly's singles/album sales are not great but it's the Tours that count and Mcfly manage to still sell out the Big Arenas Just bought mcfly's new live at Wembley dvd and it just shows how brilliant they really are they put so much money and effort into their Concerts whille watching the DVD i had noticed that there are very few little kids in the Arena Most of the guys and girls are 14+ but then i guess thats why they do standing gigs now. Ithink 2009 will see a new era for Mcfly they have gotten off to a good start with a number sell out shows in Brazil, mexico, japan,Amsterdam,Australia and when they were with Island records they didn't really leave the UK and by the Looks of things 'Falling in Love' seems tobe doing well on Downloads even though most of their fans have the song on The album and the free album so it seems tome people outside of their fanbase are buying their stuff at long last
  22. itsme123 posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Mcfly's 'Falling In Love' doing fairly good seeing as they don't have the best fans to download
  23. itsme123 posted a post in a topic in UK Charts

their going no where they are still selling out Arenas and are still very happy with the new album coming out and the rest of their sold out dates in Brazil,Japan,Amsterdam and mexico coming up and the fact they are on their own label their here to stay
