The change to the rules I would make is to disallow 8 10 and 12 point votes from each country. The rest of the points fairly well represent the artistic merit of the songs

The political voting for Russia was a pleasant surprise if there was ever one (in the context of EVision and political voting for songs). As much as the media tries to portray Russians, Ukrainians, Georgians, and the people from the Baltic states as hating each other for various reasons related to our shared dark past, we still stick together. Nothing to do with songs though. Maybe with tastes to some degree. I like Azeri song the best, amazing dynamic range that angel guy had.
