  1. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the London concert, she's in really good vocal shape in this performance, even if it's compiled from 2 nights she does really strong performances of I Believe In You, Your Disco Needs You, All I See, No More Rain and The One! It's reasonable to assume they'll try to hit the Christmas Sales with the DVD, as her DVD's normally sell pretty well. However, it might depend on what agreements were made with the 4Music owners. I seem to recall that time from first airing of Showgirl and actual DVD release was LONG, but whether this had anything to do with broadcast agreements or simply was a result of bad timing and/or planning I don't know.
  2. While I agree with above reviews that second half of the show by far outranked first half - which was simply bogged down with too many poor song choices (Ruffle My Feather - meh, Heart Beat Rocks - yuck, Loveboat - wtf?) I actually think that the Loveboat segment as a whole was the highlight of first part of the show, at least dramatically. The setup was amazing, and I did love how she performed Copacabana. She genuinely seemed to have fun during this, which was really refreshing. That being said, I agree that it was only from Black and White and onwards (cf. my previous review) that things really got going, which ment that the first two thirds of the concert actually afterwards seemed mostly like a missed opportunity to have done something really great. It was good, but imagine how it would have been, had she got the show off ground from the first set? It would have made it unreal!

  5. Would have liked something a bit more substantial than a websearch, though. <_< You can find all sorts of true and untrue information online. Of course, I don't know your source.
  6. Strange, Excuse My French sounds so much like Kylie. How do we know it's not her? Anyway, whoever it is, love the track. ^_^ Thanx for the clarification!!!
  7. 'Your Disco Needs You' 'Fever' 'Secret(take you home)' (had to choose something, to me, the whole album is c**p bar Slow and Red Blooded Woman) 'Like A Drug' :cheer: 'Rippin Up The Disco' 'Love Is The Drug'
  8. The other day, I happened upon a download called "X2", supposedly left-overs and B-sides from X. The tracklist includes songs: Boombox Magnetic Electric Ripping Up The Disco Lose Control Fall For You Everything I Know (demo) Spell Of Desire (demo) I'm In The Mood For Love Excuse My French (demo) When The Cat's Away Love Is The Drug White Dimonds (remix) Boombox (extended remix) Some of these songs are really great - Magnetic Electric and Ripping Up The Disco I knew already, but Spell Of Desire, Love Is The Drug, I'm In The Mood For Love and Excuse My French are easily some of the best songs from Kylie I've heard recently (which means post Light Years!). :cheer: Or, so I thought - because the other day, in some off-hand remark, I saw somebody imply that Excuse My French was a fake and not Kylie at all!? I've heard of such fake leaks before, but this SOUNDS 100 % like it's Kylie - so, does anybody know what's actually the truth of this? And why do they keep adding crappy B-sides to the singles, where there are such amazing tracks like Love Is The Drug and Excuse My French lying around?

  11. *yawn* Starts to go trivial, doesn't it? ;) I Want Tomorrow 51 Amarantine 10- Lazy Days 18+ Afer Ventus 20 May It Be 29 Of course, we do help I Want Tomorrow to grow a comfortable lead. Maybe we should team up and boost our respective songs on behalf of that one. :D But then, I do love IWT.
  12. Must admit I never really liked Get Together's video - maybe, most of all, because it broke with the coherence of the other videos from Conffesions: Hung Up > Sorry > Jump was almost like a continuation of each other. I also think that some recent videos like those of Madonna from Conffessions and Justin from FutureSex/LoveSounds show that it DOES pay off to do a good video and promotion. Justin was playing none-stop for a year on MTV, and I don't think that was bad for album sales!
  13. Problem is that she plays it acousticly, so not much of a show to put in a video (not like Madge's Jump, which was pretty spectacular), and I don't think the acoustic version is going to sell well audiowise, the song doesn't transfer as well into acoustic as I Believe In You, if you ask me.
  14. Well, she did the sailor stuff on the On A Night Like This tour, but that was back in 2000, so I guess it's ok to revive it. That was more like a beach party theme anyway, where this is more like a sailor's bar - ok, the difference is subtle, admittedly. She didn't do Manga / Japanese / Samurai theme on any of her previous tour, so I think that's a fresh breath. To turn the discussion slightly back on topic, I'd like to hear whether anybody knows if she's still playing the acoustic version of The One? Must admit I'm not too excited about it, from what I heard on YouTube, but ok, if she's releasing The One as next single, it's probably a good idea to promote it a bit.
