  1. Anyone else love reading these ? Tears on my pillow - Week 1 This week the challenger was predictably the new Kylie Minogue single “Tears On My Pillow”, a cover of 1958 Little Anthony & The Imperials No 4 US hit which failed to chart here. It features not only on Minogue’s last album “Enjoy Yourself” but also on the soundtrack to her first feature film “The Delinquents” which opened here on Boxing Day to moderate success. It’s Kylie’s 9th single and a ninth top 5 hit to boot as it debuts at No 2 with sales of 35,000, the album has spent its first 14 weeks in the top 6 amassing sales of 900,000 so far. 1- HANGIN TOUGH- New Kids On The Block (45,000) 2- TEARS ON MY PILLOW- Kylie Minogue (35,000) 3- TOUCH ME- 49ers (32,000) 4- GOT TO HAVE YOUR LOVE- Mantronix (31,000) 5- YOU MAKE ME FEEL (MIGHTY REAL)- Jimmy Somerville (26,000) 6- GET A LIFE- Soul II Soul (22,000) 7- PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER- D.Mob (21,000) 8- GOT TO GET- Rob N Raz Featuring Leila K (19,000) 9- WHEN YOU COME BACK TO ME- Jason Donovan (17,000) 10- GOING BACK TO MY ROOTS/ RICH IN PARADISE- FPI Project (16,800) Tears on my pillow - Week 2 There was no fight back for New Kids On The Block this week as they get roundly defeated and fall 1-2 (52,000) though you’ll note they are still increasing sales wise! Instead nothing could prevent a fourth chart topper for Kylie Minogue and “Tears On My Pillow” as she becomes only the second female act to score as many chart toppers, the only lady ahead of her? Madonna of course on 6 No 1’s so far. It is also S/A/W’s 13th chart topper with a change of decade not appearing to hamper their ability to score big hits, this production bumps 2-1 (61,000), and at 2 minutes 28 seconds it’s also the shortest chart topper since the Specials ten years ago. 1- TEARS ON MY PILLOW- Kylie Minogue (61,000) 2- HANGIN TOUGH- New Kids On The Block (52,000) 3- NOTHING COMPARES 2 U- Sinead O’Connor (40,600) 4- TOUCH ME- 49ers (31,000) 5- GOT TO HAVE YOUR LOVE- Mantronix (31,000) 6- COULD HAVE TOLD YOU SO- Halo James (29,000) 7- YOU MAKE ME FEEL (MIGHTY REAL)- Jimmy Somerville (26,000) 8- PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER- D.Mob (20,000) 9- GOING BACK TO MY ROOTS- FPI Project (19,000) 10- GOT TO GET- Rob N Raz Ft Leila K (18,000) Tears on my pillow - Week 3 Nothing Compares 2 Sinead O’Connor this week as copies of her single flew off the shelves after a live TOTP performance of the song saw 85,000 copies change hands this week. It climbs 3-1 to easily become the third chart topper of the 90s as the turnaround rate at the top is quite ferocious. That’s bad news for Kylie Minogue who slumps 1-2 (51,000) after losing just 5% saleswise. 1 - NOTHING COMPARES 2 U- Sinead O’Connor (85,000) 2- TEARS ON MY PILLOW- Kylie Minogue (51,000) 3- GET UP (BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER)- Technotronic (44,000) 4- GOT TO HAVE YOUR LOVE- Mantronix (40,000) 5- TOUCH ME- 49ers (27,000) 6- COULD HAVE TOLD YOU SO- Halo James (27,000) 7- HANGIN TOUGH- New Kids On The Block (26,000) 8- YOU MAKE ME FEEL (MIGHTY REAL)- Jimmy Somerville (24,000) 9- HAPPENIN ALL OVER AGAIN- Lonnie Gordon (18,000) 10- I WISH IT WOULD RAIN DOWN ON ME- Phil Collins (18,000 Tears on my pillow - Week 4 More S/A/W related hits dominate the top 5 with the men themselves seeing Lonnie Gordon sprint 9-4 (35,000) to compensate for Kylie’s continued descent 2-3 (47,000). Phil Collins rises 10-7 (25,000) as everything else heads south, that includes Mantronix 4-5 (31,000), 49ers 5-6 (25,000) and Halo James flop 6-8 (23,000). 1- NOTHING COMPARES 2 U- Sinead O’Connor (119,000) 2- GET UP (BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER)- Technotronic (52,000) 3- TEARS ON MY PILLOW- Kylie Minogue (47,000) 4- HAPPENIN ALL OVER AGAIN- Lonnie Gordon (35,000) 5- GOT TO HAVE YOUR LOVE- Mantronix (31,000) 6- TOUCH ME- 49ers (25,000) 7- I WISH IT WOULD RAIN DOWN- Phil Collins (25,000) 8- COULD HAVE TOLD YOU SO- Halo James (23,000) 9- WALK ON BY- Sybil (22,000) 10- INSTANT REPLAY- Yell! (19,000) Tears on my pillow - Week 5 In other news Lonnie Gordon sticks at No 4 (36,000) whilst Sybil climbs 9-6 (25,000) to make her version of “Walk On By” the highest charting one, that rise leaves Phil Collins stranded at No 7 (25,000). Mantronix tumble 5-8 (24,000) whilst Kylie Minogue doesn’t have a soft landing as she slumps 3-9 (20,000) 1- NOTHING COMPARES 2 U- Sinead O’Connor (128,000) 2- GET UP! (BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER)- Technotronic (69,000) 3- DUB BE GOOD TO ME- Beats International Ft Lindy Layton (48,000) 4- HAPPENIN ALL OVER AGAIN- Lonnie Gordon (36,000) 5- I DON’T KNOW ANYBODY ELSE- Black Box (28,000) 6- WALK ON BY- Sybil (25,000) 7- I WISH IT WOULD RAIN DOWN- Phil Collins (25,000) 8- GOT TO HAVE YOUR LOVE- Mantronix (24,000) 9- TEARS ON MY PILLOW- Kylie Minogue (20,000) 10- LIVE TOGETHER- Lisa Stansfield (19,000)

Wow this is a blast from the past from me 😂
  7. I’m here for a Disney Top 3 🖕😂
  8. Are we able to talk about Bruno ?
  9. Really hope a couple of the Encanto songs chart. Wasn’t expecting them to do so well on Spotify.
  10. Eurgh Can't Get You Out of My Head I suppose but neither would be in my top 5, oh well. Love at fight sight I don’t hate but find it easily one of her most overrated. Justice for In your eyes.
  11. That’s why I blocked that user a long time ago 😂
  12. I’ve always thought love at first sight was very overrated, come into my world I’ve never liked and can’t get you out of my head is probably due to overplay.
  13. Fragile, Love Affair, Your Love, Tightrope or Burning Up. I always skip the other 3 singles from Fever. If I was going to rank them it categories it would be Love In your eyes Fragile Love Affair Your Love Tightrope Burning Up Skip Can’t get you out of my head Love at first sight Come into my world Bad Fever Dancefloor More More More Give It To Me
  14. +12 Kylie Minogue – Can't Get You Out Of My Head +10 Evanescence – Bring Me To Life +08 Lady Gaga – Bad Romance +07 Pink – Just Like A Pill +06 Sugababes – Hole In The Head +05 All Saints – Pure Shores +04 Britney Spears – Everytime +03 Robyn with Kleerup – With Every Heartbeat +02 Lily Allen – The Fear +01 Scissor Sisters – I Don't Feel Like Dancin'
  15. Eurgh so predictable. Other than In your eyes (which should win) I would have liked the other 3 to have already gone.
  16. Also, 199 - RE - Kylie Minogue, Frank Sinatra – Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (feat. Frank Sinatra) 64,175
  17. Wow we rarely get to know the Top 200. Where do we sign up ? How much ? 😂

If you come back ❤️ So many great memories attached to this album for me.
  19. Are we really gonna be left with the singles ? Eurgh how generically obvious 😂 Come into my world again.
  20. People will still call it a flop or under performing 😂 Surely people can’t be that delusional that sales will always stabilise with artist like her and Ed Sheeran.
  21. Isn’t it estimated to sell 1.3 - 1.7 million in America ?

I feel like I’m listening to a different album to most of you 😂, I love it, there is probably 1 maybe 2 average tracks for me but no skips.
  23. They don’t care about chart positions, it’s a out money. £5 or £2.99 isn’t gonna make any difference. Fans will buy then either way.
  24. I think that’s because 10k was given as the pre order sales which was clearly incorrect.
