RuPaul's Drag Race • Season 10
She sounded ill and full of the cold. Especially in the runway section, it sounded like her voice was on the verge of disappearing.

'The Greatest Showman' | Jan 2018
I've only just seen this. Oh god, it was fantastic and I didn't expect to like it. Never Enough is genuinely one of the best songs I've ever seen featured in a movie. Hugh Jackman's look of pure awe, with the tears in his eyes, with his wife watching him, realising nothing will ever be enough from now on, absolutely broke my heart. That scene is astonishing. Why that wasn't nominated for the Oscar I'll never know. This Is Me is fantastic, but Never Enough is the one. That vocal from Loren leaves me scalped every time I listen to it.

RuPaul's Drag Race • All Stars 3
Holy God. Shangela's lip sync left me bald. That was incredible. What a performer. I laughed so much. Trixie also slayed. She's so funny, and such a good comic actor. In the preview for next week, for the music video they're making, Trixie and Shangela both look absolutely stunning and like they're serving pop goddess realness. Never has a top 2 been so obvious at this point and I'd be good with either Shangela or Trixie winning.

RuPaul's Drag Race • All Stars 3
Trixie isn't suited to this type of show at all, but god damn I love her. I've just spend the last 20 minutes watching a compilation of the funny bits from the Trixie and Katya show. She is AMAZING on that. Even the dead eye reaction shots are great. Feast your eyes... 9BZmliU-z2w Shangela is doing it for me on the show, but I wouldn't have any issues with Trixie winning it, even if it wouldn't make any sense.

Yeah that was some utter BS. Terrible terrible decision.

'Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle' | 2017
That was very funny, but it was when she put it into practice that I really laughed. She was the highlight of the movie.

I, Tonya
Really enjoyed this, even if it did balance on the line between parody and black comedy at times. Margot and Allison were outstanding though. I really knew nothing about Tonya's story, so I found it really interesting. What a character.

'Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle' | 2017
This was surprisingly good. I laughed a lot, and I did NOT expect to like it at all. The concept lends itself to loads of sight gags but actually they didn't overdo it and a lot of the funniest bits were subtle. The facial expressions from Gillan had me creased at times. Really, really good, harmless fun. With a nice little nod back to the original thrown in there too.

Buzzjack's favourite film of 2017
I am shocked that Jumanji very nearly made my top 10. It was so much more fun than I expected.

Buzzjack's favourite film of 2017
I'm still holding out desperate hope for that sequel announcement.

Buzzjack's favourite film of 2017

Pitch Perfect??? Good lord. It's fun and enjoyable, but the 5th best ever? No, no, no.

RESULTS: Buzzjack's Top Musical Films Of All Time
Urgh. So gutted that Little Shop is out and angry with myself for missing this vote!! There's not a bad song in it, it's impeccable. And Ellen's performance is wonderful. Not much to say about Les Mis other than it is indeed very impressive. I do feel like the big numbers lack some of the bombast from the stage version, like At The End of The Day. On stage, it's absolutely thunderous but I don't recall the movie version giving me the same feels. Anne does indeed take it all the way home for I Dreamed a Dream though. That is how that song should be sung. It's not a pop ballad, it's heartbreaking and agonising. She absolutely nailed it.

Ocean's 8 | Ocean's Trilogy Spin-Off
This is going to have to have the worst script and story of all time for me to hate it. That cast is incredible. I am so here for this. Jack, I loved the new Ghostbusters too. It was unfairly treated. It was lots of fun.

"One More Sleep" • Christmas Classic In The Making
Yeah I get them not supporting her album campaigns but to choose to ignore a legitimate, recurrent Christmas hit that's now well over 300k sales is just stupid, stubborn and speaks for their arrogance really.

Omg a massive yes at Meat Loaf/Marion Raven's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now". What a song and it works so beautifully as a duet. I'm a huge Meat Loaf fan and you're right, this song was written for him originally by his long time collaborator, Jim Steinman, before going to Celine back in the day. It's such a shame his health has deteriorated so much and his voice is well and truly shot. His live shows were really something to behold. Out of everyone I've ever seen live, I've never seen anyone give it all on the stage like Meat. And as for Leona's Run, it's practically flawless. Her performance of it on the X Factor is one of the best live performances I've ever seen. She was at her absolute best and was vocally untouchable. And when the choir appeared for the massive final chorus, I still get goosebumps. That will forever be her finest moment.

League of Gentlemen
So it's all done then. I enjoyed it but I would have done a lot of it differently. I would have swerved Legs Akimbo. That was painfully unfunny and way too long. Devastated about Pauline. She's one of their best characters. They should have kept her in their back pocket for future stuff. I also love Papa Lazarou as a character so I'd have liked more of him. The wife mine was amazing but his appearance and one line was too brief.

Steps • General Discussion
This is so true. Step One, Steptacular and Tears are so strong as whole albums. There's very little filler across all 3. Most of the songs could have been singles at the time the albums were out. You definitely couldn't say that about most pop albums back then. Buzz less so for me. It was always my least favourite album. Aside from Paradise Lost, Never Get Over You and Turn Around I really don't rate the other album tracks at all. They're pure filler and utter rubbish.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? :o Little Shop has one of the best soundtracks of all time for me. Every song is amazing. The movie is perfect. It's camp, dark and so funny! It's my go-to musical. I'll never tire of it.

League of Gentlemen
It was fantastic. I'm so glad it's back. There were so many moments that made me laugh out loud but they were all the less obvious ones. When Pamela Doove's voice came booming out of the radio to do the shipping report I about wet my knickers. The whole set up with Pauline at the Jobcentre was amazing too. The only thing that made me recoil a bit was the inclusion of Herr Lipp. I think he could have been left out, given everything that has happened in the last few months. Sexual predators isn't where the jokes are at. Other than that though, it was so enjoyable. Feels like it has never been away.

I literally can't hear that at all. They're totally different. It's weird how that happens and we just hear songs completely differently. Back to You is a bop though.

Steps - Party on the Dancefloor 2017 Tour
I'd say Happy. Not that I dislike it, but to put a new album track on in the first 4 tracks of the show was misjudged. They needed a run of killer singles to get the show off to the right momentum and Happy came close to killing the buzz. I know that not many people would have known Love U More, or they maybe know the original and didn't realise that Steps had already covered it 20 years ago, but that was an absolute highlight for me. That new version was incredible and would have worked on the new album. I hope we get a studio version of that.

The Apprentice
He literally chose the worst possible combination for the final. Good god. Surely anyone with half a brain could see that Michaela was the only savvy business woman there. Yes, she's rough around the edges, but she can clearly make money. Her business idea also was the only one that seemed to have genuine possibilities. Everyone else either had no experience, or absolutely no way of scaling up. As for Sarah and those sweets, I've been seeing tubs like that online and in shops for years. I cannot believe THAT got her to the final. I've got no intentions of watching the final, as I couldn't care less who wins out of those two. Neither deserved it and neither will succeed.
