  1. Except lyrically and sonically, it's the complete opposite.
  2. Scared...is back in the top 10 on iTunes now. Hopefully it can hold on and then get another boost from Mrs Brown's show tomorrow night.

Yeah number 1 isn't happening. Realistically they can easily get 30k, so number 2 should be on lock.
  4. To be honest, I'd watch Ryan Reynolds clipping his toenails for 2 hours, so you can count me in.
  5. It's all about Scared of the Dark, Story of a Heart and I Will Love Again for me at the moment. Claire's vocal on the latter's chorus is astonishingly good, and the chorus of Story...is easily the closest they've ever been to just becoming ABBA.

I struggled with season 3, it was a bit of a dud, but I stuck with it and season 5 is amazing. Proper brilliant. I must only have 3 episodes left before it's done for good. It's a tight season that doesn't waste any time getting the storyline wound up. The scenes with Freddie and Vera in this season have been absolutely blinding.

Yeah that scene out in the yard was brutal. Freak can fight!

Enjoyed the new episode a lot. It seems like they're definitely setting it up for

The finale was fantastic and that was an absolutely outstanding little series. Seriously, how do you choose which of those women get the awards. They were all amazing. I was so tense for the last 30 minutes of that finale. It built it up so well and I hadn't read the book so I had no idea what was going to happen. Alexander frightened me so much, he was truly awesome in such a hideous role. Nicole and Reese though - wow. Their best roles in a very very very long time.
  10. I adore the Hotel Transylvania movies, they're so good. I can't really bring myself to like Tarzan. It's just a story I've never got invested in. Maybe because it's been told to death in so many ways, much like Peter Pan. I'd never choose to watch either of them.
  11. I totally missed this rate so I can't complain about the results, but Dream Warriors is a great horror movie. It's easily the 2nd best of the whole series. It does feel like number 57 is way too low <_<

    Episode 6 just aired.

I think you're probably right but I'm actually really impressed with Shailene in this. I've never rated her but she's good. Very natural and the scenes with her son are really great.
  14. I just use a VPN to trick Youtube into thinking I'm in the US. Works fine that way.
  15. They said the video is being released on 7th April. They have a gig on the 8th don't they, so they'll be getting together to rehearse for that.
  16. Yeah I'd be here for that.

Yeah DH did deal with some serious issues, but honestly it's one of the campest, most over the top shows I've ever seen, and Devious Maids was basically the same show with different characters. Tonally it couldn't be any further away from Big Little Lies, which is at times very sinister and dark.
  18. Gaga was as brilliant as I'd expected. She looked absolutely flawless serving CEO-realness during the judging too. If you haven't already you need to watch Untucked. She goes backstage with her big notebook and gives notes to every contestant. It's hugely charming and she's so sweet and encouraging, but honest.
  19. If there's a sequel, and I think that's pretty much guaranteed now, that's surely what it would be for. Did you catch the mid-credit scene? I totally agree with you about the first 20 minutes. I loved the prologue so much. It was a much darker introduction than I expected and I'm glad they did that. They needed to tell a bit of backstory to explain the Rita/Zordon relationship and they did it really well. Now that they've done all the groundwork with the characters, a sequel would only really have 2 major players to introduce in Tommy and the new big bad (Lord Zedd perhaps?) so it can probably be more of the movie that some people wanted this one to be. Yeah it did just under $15M, including the Thursday night previews. The 1995 movie made around $38M in its first weekend when you adjust for inflation so it's looking at matching that, if not slightly exceeding it. The international numbers will be interesting, as that has to be where they're hoping to make much of their money. I can't see it having much staying power in the US, so it might struggle to get to $100M total there. EDIT: First weekend estimates are in and it's at just over $40M. Brilliant result. I hope it doesn't crash next week though. EDIT 2: I reviewed this for my friend's movie review and podcast site. It's spoiler free. Yeah I don't think they're similar either, in look or tone. There is humour in this, but it's not because funny stuff happens, it's the delivery of the lines. But there's a really serious undertone to this. Alexander makes me feel alarmingly uncomfortable when he's on screen. Actually proper on edge and worried for Nicole. He plays it so well, it's frightening.

No, no. That was Devious Maids. It was essentially the same show.
  22. Oh :P It's far from a masterpiece, but there's plenty to enjoy too. Could they have cut a lot of the character development? Yes. It could have been edited quite a bit and we could have easily lost 20 minutes of it. But when they do suit up I thought it was a lot of fun. I would have liked another 10 minutes or so of the final battle, with more Megazord action and Goldar/Rita being an even bigger threat but I liked what we got. The blue ranger's acting was a bit cringey when we first meet him and the writing around him explaining he's on the spectrum was very clumsy, but I think all 5 of them end up doing a decent job. Zordon was handled well too I thought. I liked that he's not a straightforward mentor. There's a motive behind his impatience with them and he's a bit of an ass until the moment he makes that choice.
  23. I really don't think you will be. They've changed quite a bit from the TV show and the general set up. There are definite nods to the original series but this is Power Rangers for a new generation.
  24. Yeah it was definitely an unusual choice to not show the full assembling of the Megazord. I'd have liked to have seen it, but I did quite like the hints at certain parts clipping together and then have him rising up. This Megazord is very different though, in that he has a fairly organic looking metal mesh body, with only small sections that are obviously parts of the zords. I read somewhere that they went that way to be more in line with the alien nature of the zords. Although they're robots they can take on the features of powerful creatures, so the coming together of the Megazord is almost like the zords morphing, rather than a completely mechanical piece by piece attachment.
  25. There are two characters in this at the very beginning in a scene with Jason that could well be them, but we don't hear their names. Their characteristics do fit though.
