Power Rangers Movie Reboot
I think I peed a little. IT. LOOKS. SO. GOOD.

Josh's Top 106 Movies of 2016!
It actually might. It made $285 million worldwide on a budget of $110 million. So it did well. It fared far better internationally than in the US ($198m vs $98m).

Only Jonjo showing Power Rangers some love? Sigh. Will do a list later, but that's top 5 for sure.

You were very generous when it comes to Inferno. I was so disappointed with it. The book was great, but the movie just didn't compare. It was also very, very different. Seeing as you enjoyed it, you really need to see Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. I love them both. The books are of course far superior though.

Haven't you just answered your own question? ;)

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 6th January 2017
I am surprised (but ecstatic) that Sia is releasing Move Your Body. I don't like the single mix (it's too watered down) but the album version is a solid gold banger. It has Shakira written all over it, she was nuts to pass on it.

The Exorcist
Absolutely agree. I could have done without some of the plot lines lasting all the way to the end, as I really just wanted the action to get back to the family when they weren't on screen. Also, considering where it ended up when the main storyline was revealed about halfway through, I suppose this should really be considered sequel territory, rather than any kind of remake. They didn't mess around with the original story too much. I can't remember noticing too many inconsistencies, so it was faithfully done. My only gripe from the last episode was when Geena woke up in Regan's old bedroom and opened the door, we were looking at a hallway/corridor instead of the landing and little stairway from the original house. If they'd matched that up properly, it would have been a really neat little touch, as they did make her room look like it did in the movie. I'm a huge fan of Geena but I honestly wasn't all that impressed with her performance in the first couple of episodes. By the end though, she played a blinder.

The Exorcist
Just finished this and am excited to see it has been renewed. This turned out to be infinitely better than I had expected, and I loved the links to the movie. Seems like nobody on here was watching it, but you're honestly missing a great show.

Guilty Pleasures
Oh god I've got loads. Though I'd only consider it a guilty pleasure if it's generally maligned or was mauled by the critics. Bring It On should never be a guilty pleasure - it's incredible. Also, someone mentioned The Lion King!? Nothing guilty about that! For me, it's The Power Rangers Movie (almost wholly for Ivan Ooze, the cheesy one-liners during the fight scenes and that theme song - OOFT!). I actually cannot wait for the new one. Spice World. Victoria steals almost every scene. What an icon. The Transformers films. They're terrible, terrible movies, but I quite enjoy them. They're just brainless fun. Batman v Superman. Gets a lot of hate, but I really enjoy it. The extended version fixed a lot of the storytelling issues and Ben Affleck is the Batman for me now. Also, Gal Gadot  The Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions. Both films got terrible reviews and aren't held in very high regard, but I think they're incredible. Obviously the first one is a masterpiece, but as a whole, it's an amazing trilogy. I'm sure I'll think of lots more. I'll update when they come to me.

Project Runway / All-Stars / Junior / Under the Gunn
OMG yes at Laurence :( Also, her collection was surprising! I'd expected angular shoulders, lots of black, leather and straps. This is by far one of the weakest finals we've had for a while though. I'm not overly excited about any of them.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Final
For me, her best performances are Chandelier at the semi final, The Winner Takes It All from the quarter finals and Enough is Enough from Disco Week (she served absolutely insane vocals with punchy choreo on this one and I was living for it).

Project Runway / All-Stars / Junior / Under the Gunn
This week's episode - WTF at the winning looks? They were my least favourite, aside from the person who actually got eliminated, which was the right decision.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Spoilers
Oh. I really wanted Who Wants To Live Forever. Bo-Rhap has the potential to be a mess.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Spoilers
Oh god I'm nervous at this talk of a Eurovision song as this could go wrong very quickly. I don't know why but I just can't imagine her performing Euphoria. In fact, I'm not sure I even want anyone to sing that song. Ever. Unless it's Loreen with a wind machine prepped and ready.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Final
Just watched Saara's gig in Helsinki. Good god, the vocals. She has never sounded better. Wow.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Final
Holy hell I'd be well and truly scalped if they sang that together. Adam's vocal on that song is astonishing. That would be a serious moment.
-
The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Live Show 9
No lies detected. This sums it up. Saara was sensational.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Spoilers
Those are the two songs I wanted from Saara. All I Want.... is going to be a Christmas explosion of madness though isn't it?

> The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Live Show 8
To echo practically everyone else, Saara's 'The Winner Takes It All' was practically perfect. What a stunning vocal. Best performance by an absolute mile and it would be an utter travesty if she went tonight. The turnaround for Saara has been incredible and I'm really hoping she has enough momentum to take her to the final now. There's a gulf between her and the others in terms of talent level, it's almost comical.

US Billboard 200 - 12/03/2016
I'm surprised there's no mention of Bon Jovi's comical fall from number 1. 42 places must be a new record surely? That's outrageous. That drop in sales must be in the high 90%.

The Exorcist
I don't want to spoil anything but it makes sense later. I thought the exact same but they totally address it. It honestly only gets better.

The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Live Show 6
Which is his business and is totally irrelevant when it comes to judging how good or bad his performances are.
-
The X Factor ● Series 13 ● Live Show 6
There was only one highlight last night. Saara absolutely scalped everyone. In terms of vocal talent and performance ability, she's head and shoulders above everyone. That song is a beast, but she barely even had to try. She even threw in a key change. It was immense. Sam, Ryan and Emily are three of the worst contestants that have ever got this far in my opinion. They're barely capable of carrying a tune between them. Emily's vocal is so thin it's practically non-existent and Sam's tone is so unpleasant to my ears. Ryan's a weak singer too, but there's just something about his demeanor and personality that I find really off-putting. 5 After Midnight weren't dreadful, but seriously how loud were the backing vocals? They barely had to sing anything when it came to the choruses and they certainly weren't singing the high chorus in September. Groups shouldn't be allowed backing vocals. That's a total cop-out. Matt was fine, but unremarkable. His voice can be fantastic, but he has wavering control and can be really sharp at times. He's just....there, but isn't exciting at all. As for Honey G, I've no words. Everything she does just screams PARODY!! But the scary thing is, I can't see past her winning at this stage.

Project Runway / All-Stars / Junior / Under the Gunn
What a fall from grace Erin has had since absolutely slaying the first few episodes. I had her pegged as the clear winner but the last few weeks with her and Dexter have been painful. Jenni's look this week was honestly one of the worst things I've ever seen on Project Runway. It was just hideously ugly and ill-fitting. I didn't find Erin's all that offensive and thought it was perfectly suitable for what her mother asked for. Mah-Jing's outfit was pretty brilliant but how cold was his mother? It got so awkward at times. Also, I was legit shocked when Laurence's daughter came out. Holy hell, she doesn't look old enough to have a daughter that old!
