  1. They're getting everything so right with this. I'm really happy with everything I've seen so far. Can't wait!!
  2. Well done Jonjo! I'm happy with 2nd. I'm so annoyed with myself though. I completely missed the part about guessing your top 5 musicals. I reckon I could have tied for the win if I'd done that! What a fool! Enjoyed this quiz though, thanks!
  3. If you're in the market for slight spoilers, this video has a very cool shot of the T-Rex zord in action (it looks AMAZING), the Megazord, and Alpha, Zordon and the command centre, all of which look very, very different...

Yeah I'd say you were right on both counts. The Jungle Book looks like it'll come frustratingly close. It pulled in over $8 million internationally last weekend, but that'll drop fairly quickly now. It doesn't have enough steam left in it to pull in another $80 million. Captain America has faded much quicker and would also need around $80 million to go top 10. However, it's international takings have dropped nearly 65% on each of the last two weekends and it's now only pulling in $500k so it's pretty much done. It might bring in another $5 million in total if it's lucky.
  5. Not too sure where you're getting those numbers from. Drake and Stone Roses were on around 16k on Monday's update, but that didn't include Saturday and Sunday streaming figures, which obviously accounts for a few thousand sales for Drake. On the next update Stone Roses had dipped to number 9 but no sales were given. They were obviously very frontloaded though, and only sold another 6k for the rest of the week, which makes sense if you look at how rapidly it dropped on iTunes.
  6. I've guessed 16 of them. Reckon I'll kick myself at the other 4.
  7. Deleted post. I'll edit in scores later.

First episode of season 2 was pretty meh. Can't see me sticking with this.

Yep! Episode 3 was fantastic too. That shower scene was brutal.
  10. Absolutely perfect top 2. Elm Street is the best slasher movie but in terms of sheer horror, you got it right with The Exorcist. It's a stunning piece of movie-making and your choice of "best scene" is so good. I totally get what you mean. There are so many moments in the quieter parts of the movie that are so chilling and effective. Aside from the scary bits that everyone has seen a million times, it's the performances that keep me coming back to it. Linda is obviously amazing, considering the sheer hell she went through filming those scenes, but Ellen is just incredible, and wrongly gets overlooked sometimes when everyone is so focused on the head spinning and the vomiting. There's an absolutely epic behind the scenes documentary on the blu-ray that I'd urge everyone to watch immediately. It's almost as good as the actual movie. It's a real miracle the movie ever got made, considering the crazy stuff that went wrong. The director was an absolute tyrant too, to say the very least. Really it's about as close to a perfect movie as you can get.
  11. Oh people, seriously, watch Elm Street. It's immense.
  12. So pleased Elm Street ended up this high. It's just the absolute pinnacle of slasher horror for me. For a number of reasons, Freddy (at least in this movie, and Dream Warriors) is the purest and scariest form of evil. He's totally inescapable and absolutely grotesque, in his appearance and his background. I love all of the Elm Street movies, for very different reasons, and I didn't even mind the remake that much, but the original is hardcore horror perfection.

I'm disappointed purely because I can't stand him. If the song's a hit, good for her. Though we don't actually know if it'll be a single do we? I'm a fan of Leona, so obviously my ideal scenario would be a feature for another artist I actually like, but that's just me. I know lots of people do like him.

    Oh god no
  15. I'm confused, how do we know the jury scores? I thought they were revealed on the main show tomorrow?
  16. Their performance was great. Vocally, they're brilliant and it's a great pop song. They absolutely do not deserve to be anywhere but the top half of the table. They're easily in my top 3 with Sergey and Dami and it has been many years since I've said that about our entry. Full performance: snpd-8kCyR0

I absolutely love the X-Men movies but I just can't get excited for this. The trailers made it look like a hot muddled mess and the reviews seem to be leaning that way too. Though that clip of Olivia splitting the car in half is absolutely epic.
  18. Oh wow, I love that!! So, it's very likely they're going with the original zords then. Fantastic. I want to see them, but I also don't want them to give too much away. They'll have to be really careful with the footage they show in the trailer, not to give away too many of the money shots (morphing, calling the zords or the Megazord). And they better get this theme song right too. It's epic. In fact, they should use the one from the first movie again. It's fine.
  19. I've seen it 3 times now and it held up each time. There were actually parts in the screenplay that I only picked up on during the third viewing, which will no doubt tie it in with Suicide Squad and that ominous Robin suit in the glass case. I can't disagree that it's long, but I never felt bored by it. The dream sequence is definitely too important to cut out, but I do wish they'd done something a little bit different with Aquaman's introduction. I was really really looking forward to seeing him so was a little let down by that. Otherwise, I think they teased enough about what's to come to keep people interested. Affleck was incredible. He is without a doubt, my absolute favourite Batman ever. Also, the entire opening sequence with Bruce witnessing the Superman/Zodd battle from the ground was beautifully handled and shot. That set up perfectly why he has an inherent hatred for Superman. I can't really understand why some people don't think this was clear. I think what I liked about this Batman, was how brutal he was. The warehouse fight scene towards the end is the best example of that. He's a proper brawler and it's about time. Also, Jeremy Irons was the perfect Alfred to this Bruce. They got it just right. Wonder Woman was also amazing. She even shows up with her own rocking theme tune, and she totally elevated that final battle. She was the one character I was worried they would screw up, as she's probably the hardest character to get right, but they nailed it. My interest in her solo movie increased infinitely after watching this. So, so looking forward to seeing more of Gadot, Affleck and Irons in the upcoming movies. Cavill is probably the weakest link in the whole chain at this point, but he can only do the best with what he's given and this definitely wasn't a Man of Steel sequel. He was almost relegated here. A solid 8/10 for me, mostly due to Batman, Alfred and Wonder Woman, and the decent job of teasing what's to come.
  20. I absolutely hated the remake of Carrie. The original is impeccable movie making. Really enjoying this countdown. There's been a couple that I haven't seen, so I'll look them up but I've not disagreed with any that I do know. Some really good choices, with hopefully some old favourites still to come.
  21. What, what now? Where did you see the art? :o Tell us more. Do they look like the original zords or have they amped it up?
  22. Oh my good god this is ridiculously difficult. This man knows his way around a tune. There's a couple I don't know but I'll listen to them later and will come back to them. 6.0 *NSync - I Want You Back 5.0 *NSync - I'll Never Stop 7.5 *NSync - It's Gonna Be Me 7.0 *NSync - Tearin' Up My Heart xx.x A-ha - Analogue (All I Want) 8.5 Adam Lambert - Whataya Want From Me 8.5 Ariana Grande (feat. 23. Yeah I know that's true, I just don't see the point in having her perched on some stupid box, limiting her movements. They're just creating problems when there needn't be any.
  24. Yeah but it'll look awful to the audience though. It's so unnecessary and it'd look infinitely better with her standing behind the screens and then just moving forward when they move away.
  25. We can't see the tech she's using in this video, but Dami's vocal is perfection. bs4BMjjZvAI EDIT: Full rehearsal video: _hLkeoMr32Y It looks awful in that video as we can see her getting helped off that stupid box, and I'm not fond of the way she changed the big note and adlibs at the end. It loses some impact. They said in the press conference afterwards that they're being very clever to make sure that we don't see any of that stuff on the night though, so I guess the camera angles will hide her moving from the box.
