Wow, that's amazing! 200k seems almost a certainty now. Incredible.

Annoying we didn't get any sales info today. Really curious how ABBA are doing daily now.
  3. Angeleyes could have easily been a 3rd 11 for me. I've always loved it. That chorus is incredible.

Some ABBA orders are only just being charged today, despite having pre-ordered ages ago. I don't know if they're connected to the fire or just another dispatch delay. But I've read many times before that the sale is only counted when the item is dispatched. Possibly to stop loads of orders being placed, counted for the charts, then cancelled and refunded?

Yes, very that! I only singled them out as it was a direct reply to that post about them.

I'd be fairly confident in saying Westlife had next to zero say on their album release dates.
  8. They did 92k in one day and people think they're underperforming and they'll do less than Ed for the whole week? That must be miles more than he did on his first day. His total by Wednesday's update was 116k, but ABBA are going to have more than that by Monday surely. They've been hit by a lot of delays, so they'll still have quite a bit of physical sales to add, though they may not come for another couple of weeks.

That's quite a reply, given that you've adopted quite a selective interpretation of that post. Immediately after saying LGBTQ+ artists, the post says "who are totally unknown to the general public". That's the important point there. And it's what makes it a more interesting move on Gaga's part, than a Christmas duet with Elton. Nowhere does the post suggest that Elton is somehow an inferior or less important representation of the community. Simply that a Christmas duet with him is undoubtedly playing it a lot more safe.
  10. #3 I believe.

Ah gotcha, I was being a bit too generous with the numbers.

Surely she'll already be well over that? If a whole day's streaming was missing from the chart update, would that put her on about 195k going into Thursday?
  13. PaulM1983 posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Way more now. She's on 171k according to the chart update, but with a day's streaming missing for all platforms. She'll get way over 200k for the week. Maybe closer to 220k.

Steps' last 2 studio albums since 2017 each had 4 and 3 weeks top 20 (6 and 4 weeks top 40) and a few more top 200, so they should at least hang around for a few weeks before dropping out. And the publicity of them grabbing another number 1 album this deep into their career, and winning the chart battle rematch with the Manics might keep them from dropping too much in week 2.
  15. http://www.itunescharts.net/artists/music/steps/ All iTunes peaks are there. The only one that's wrong is Scared of the Dark, which peaked at number 1.

No thanks. How can you make this song so...lifeless? zTWXhNH40ws

Better Best Forgotten for me. I've been voting for that for ages. It's just...there. Doesn't hold a candle to most of their other singles.
  18. Stomp for me. It's a cute bop for sure but Future is a solid gold BANGER.

Oh yeah  I wasn't remembering the challenge properly. Yeah, he just messed it up for himself then.
  20. PaulM1983 posted a post in a topic in Television
I thought about that but wasn't the challenge to make it look like themselves? I'm sure production wouldn't have allowed that to happen. And then even if it did, it'd probably still have made everyone a bit suspicious. It was just an unfair task, designed specifically to get Emily out as a solo player. I'm not at all thrilled with Courtney slithering his way to the final. He's so unpleasant. I'd really grown to like Khat and Mitchell so I'd have liked them to have made it. Khat did play her cards too early with Chloe though.

Old Steps were exactly who they needed to be and I loved them at the time. But I don't enjoy watching those old performances as much now, when I've seen new Steps out there absolutely killing it in live performances. I'll take that any day. The old material is still great, but I'll take new Steps performing it. It also helps that they're releasing some of the best material of their career. They've just finished their finest 4 single run ever.

I can't believe someone thinks Experienced is a better song than Love U More. Or literally any of the other options to be quite honest. That song is a stain. It should be forgotten about and never mentioned again.

I totally get that he was lacking in research, so definitely could have saved a little face if he'd been able to answer the make up question in the "Don't @ Me" game. But a book full of research isn't going to help him actually be able to apply make up, so he was never getting out of that unscathed. Even to the point of having JVN judge that challenge. He exposed Lance because of the way the wig was cut. It just feels like too much of what happens is not in the player's control. They could be playing the best game of everyone, but one challenge where the odds are so obviously stacked against them is all it takes to put them out. Oh my god!! I'd have lived for that. I've got zero interest in Emily and Lance teaming up though. You're right, they've got this all backward. Terilisha had the most obvious potential to be dynamite TV, so going out of their way to make sure she got blocked was such a weird move.
  25. PaulM1983 posted a post in a topic in Television
Can't stand Courtney but was enjoying Terilisha, so am gutted she's blocked. The games and twists annoy me sometimes. They're set up to specifically expose or get rid of certain players and there's nothing they can do about it. It makes the favouritism and fixed aspect of it very obvious. That mannequin makeover challenge would obviously expose someone who hasn't put on make up before, so "Emily" had no way of escaping that. And obviously giving Courtney the power to speak anonymously to the newbies would allow him to target Terilisha and Emily without them knowing anything is going on. It's a bit unfair when it results in people being blocked just because someone else was gifted a massive advantage for no reason whatsoever. And all of it comes at the expense of the players interacting properly with each other. I'd like to see more of that. I like to see them figuring out who they like/dislike or who is real/who isn't on their own, with some fun games thrown in, just not games that completely shift the power unnecessarily.
