Really wanted a Beauty and the Beast/Aladdin final showdown. Beauty... is incredible and quite possibly my absolute favourite (though some of my others are long eliminated) but now that it's finishing in 3rd, I want an Aladdin win. It's brilliant and I'd go back to that one a hundred times before I go back to The Lion King. Not that Lion King is bad, it's just...overrated. It does have moments of absolute brilliance though and deserves to finish high.

Yeah I just read that actually. I dipped in an out of the original series and never got round to watching absolutely every episode (it's a mammoth task!) so I clearly missed the previous comedy episodes. This one took me totally by surprise! :lol:

Ok I'm confused. Is it just me or was episode 3 bordering on full on spoof? It was crazy stupid and there were so many moments that looked like the actors were on the verge of laughter. Having said that, I did laugh. It was the first time that David looked remotely interested and Gillian had some fantastic comedy moments. It was just unexpected after a couple of pretty miserable and dreary episodes.

I wonder what they'll do with the theme song? I've no shame in saying the original version they released as a single was an absolute bop.

Completely agree. His performance is the heart of the movie.

Episode 2 was much better. There were signs of that old chemistry that was missing from episode 1.

Pulled a 5.1 in the ratings, which is higher than the season finale. It'll be interesting to see how episode 2 does.

I agree that the writing was shockingly poor but I still kind of enjoyed it. Gillian is so watchable! David looked thoroughly bored though.

Some of the reviews from the screening of the first new episode are pretty rotten, which is disappointing.

Yeah he said the movie was a "blood relative", not the monster. That doesn't really give anything away though.

I'm so excited about this, even if it's literally impossible to determine how it is linked to Cloverfield. Absolutely adore the first movie.

Absolutely loved this. It's a wonderful movie. The two main performances were just outstanding, but the whole cast added something. They got everything right, from the tone to the pacing and the direction. Definitely in my top 5 from last year, and a contender for number 1.

I've been voting for Bambi for about 10 rounds I think so I'm sad to see these movies go before it. It just does nothing for me at all.

Adele got a huge boost though, it's just split over two versions. She's pretty much neck and neck with number 2. I'd imagine her album will benefitted too.
