Nah. Leona was moved forward by 3 weeks with only 3 days notice.

Can't see it. Probably 45ish.

Back in dark red and has dipped to number 23.

That massive rise on US iTunes is really strange, but very encouraging. She needs to get promo kickstarted over there ASAP to capitalise on that. If we have to watch them waste every good opportunity they could get, it'll be so disheartening. I hope they do a better job of promoting over there than they have done in the UK. One performance on a show nobody watches just doesn't cut it.

Yes the lack of support from the popular stations is extremely frustrating. There's really no reason for them to ignore her. She's shown that she is so much more than a former X Factor singer. It's astonishing that radio would so arrogantly ignore a homegrown talent that has sold 20 million records. Just noticed that she's back to number 22.

Yeah I just saw that. I'm really surprised it has been that stable since last night. She had 4 dark red updates in a row and that would usually be the start of the big drop for a new release. Well if she can hang on for another day or two she might just make the top 40 after all. If she sells consistently she should shift 10-15k so it'll be a close call. It'll come down to how much streaming is going to push her down.

I can see her being around 50ish on iTunes at the end of the week, so there's no way she's going to chart that high. 24 hours in the top 30 during what's already a really low sales week isn't going to afford her many sales, and there are numerous songs that will push her down 20+ places in the official charts because they have better streaming. It's a complete fail on all counts.

2 bad updates on iTunes now. She's about to start dropping quickly. I think she may well miss the top 75 now, as there's no promo for this week that's going to stabilise it. This is a really bad sign for her. If this flops, she's not going to get any radio support at all for the next single. A few days ago I posted that she'd get to number 90 and sell 5k, but I was starting to think I was wrong when it looked like she would get top 20 on iTunes. However, now that may well be about right. Looking at the percentages, she can't have sold much more than 3k so far. Oh dear.

Oh dear at Leona. Big drop in that last update. She'll be out of the top 40 before the end of the week. Could she even miss the top 75 officially?

It is undoubtedly extremely disappointing for Leona and I hoped for much better. There's little to no awareness of her new material, and the ever changing release date made it appear that Island were pretty much winging this. I think they anticipated getting radio on board for Leona's massive comeback but it's turned out to be a complete non event. Such a pity. She could well shift around 15k this week but her lack of streaming support will really hurt. Shame.

Leona will go top 20 today if she gets another of increases like she's had this morning. There are 3 songs a few places above her that are falling so she could potentially go to 18. Can't see her getting any higher before it starts to fall though.

Brilliant performance. Just a pity it wasn't on a show that gets more viewers. Fingers crossed she gets a good boost from it though.

Leona iTunes Watch
Number 27 now so she'll be top 25 before the performance. I can't imagine she'll get much more than a 3 place boost from the performance though, as that show won't have the type of audience that will rush to iTunes to download a track. Hopefully she'll at least get top 20 by morning though.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: THE RESULTS
BJSCFLOPPERRRRR I can't take any of your posts seriously. Why do you get yourself so worked up over fictional characters and how LITERALLY INVINCIBLE they are? And more to the point, why are you even watching the movies in the first place? So you think it's all shit. Tens of millions of people disagree. Move on. Precisely. The whole argument makes no sense if only applied to The Avengers.

38 now. It's slowing down. I just hope it stabilises before the performance rather than free falling.

Desperately want Leona to hit big with this comeback. She needs to rebuild her reputation a little. I absolutely love Fire and thought from the first time I heard it that it sounded like a smash. I'm pleasantly surprised it's made it to top 40 actually as the preorder performance didn't suggest there was much interest at all. Hopefully it can climb a bit further so any boost it does get tonight will be meaningful. Top 10 is certainly out of the question though, sadly.

She got to around 850 I think then dropped out quickly. I love Carolynne but I can't see her having any success with that kind of material.

Lovely performance. I still have everything crossed that this is a hit, despite my reservations about the way it has all been handled.

Well that's the thing, it's just my opinion. But I really don't think I'm being that unrealistic. I'm interested to know how she still has a shot at a couple of hits in the U.S. though? That seems...optimistic. Even coming off the back of Spirit, she couldn't get herself another hit over there. Thing is, it's releasing here first, so if her home country don't even take it on, it doesn't seem likely that anyone else will show much interest. If there's little to no commercial success here, it'll send alarm bells ringing at Def Jam. They're hardly going to throw cash at a promotional push if there's no evidence there will be any reward.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Island can sure talk the talk when it comes to heralding the world conquering return of Leona, but it certainly didn't take them long to make a tits up job of the release of the LEAD single. Jesus. All of the back and forward carry on with the dates is a total joke and makes everyone involved look like they're just winging it. The song will sink without trace. There's literally no awareness for it outside of her core fanbase, so I can't imagine 30k people rushing to buy it after the Palladium performance (which probably gets next to no viewers anyway), so top 10 is an absolute impossibility. I can see it shifting 5k copies and charting at around 90, if she's extremely lucky. Also, and while I admire the positive spirit, the example given by the Will Young fan on the previous page isn't very encouraging. Yes he perhaps managed to get himself a number 1 album, but he has a far more impressive track record in the album charts than Leona does, and he still only shifted 21k copies. That's less than Glassheart sold in its first week, so it would take an absolute miracle for Leona to sell more than that. If anything, the downward spiral of her album openings would put her at around 10k. Particularly if she doesn't have the public behind her after a successful single. As for radio, that's it. If the song doesn't chart absolutely no station in the country will pick up any more singles from the album. It's so disappointing, considering the excitement that was building up prior to the single debuting. I genuinely was starting to feel that this era would turn it all around for her. Now, I'm almost inclined to say it's the last shot she's going to get.

So, I know that Radio 2 are on board (for now) and her radio tour is starting, but things aren't looking great for this at all. I think we should prepare for a minor hit at best. The pre-order didn't even make top 75 and disappeared from the top 1500 within a couple of days. So, that probably accounted for a couple of hundred sales in total. It's also never reappeared in the top 1500, which shows a distinct lack of interest for it. Without radio hammering this, or any major TV performances (I doubt the Palladium gig will do much), I just can't see it taking off, which is bitterly disappointing. I still love the song and would love it to be a massive comeback for her, but all the signs are pointing in the opposite direction at the moment.

Very quick climb for Natalie. Up to 5 now.

Least Favourite Marvel Cinematic Universe: Round 8
Aside from the part when one dies to save another then? You know that none of the characters are actually invincible though right? If you were to chop their heads off or impale them, I'm fairly sure they'd be pretty dead. Also, aside from being encased in an iron suit, stronger, faster or just handier in a fight, Stark, Cap Am, Hawkeye and Black Widow are still only human. Do you actually like any MCU movie, or are they all just absolute shit?

That'll be Idina over 1 million chart sales then. That's amazing for a non top 10. Wonder how much of that is streaming though? 200,000 maybe?

I couldn't find any info on who Melina Carrey was when I checked. People obviously just don't know who originally sang that song so must think they're downloading the original version. From the looks of it, Melina also has a cover of A Thousand Years online too.
