  1. +12 - Lady Gaga - Born This Way +10 - Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster +08 - Leona Lewis - Spirit +07 - Madonna - Confessions On A Dance Floor +06 - Adele - 21 +05 - Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway +04 - Marina & The Diamonds - The Family Jewels +03 - Girls Aloud - Tangled Up +02 - Amy Winehouse - Back To Black +01 - Rihanna - Rated R Really terrible top 20 in my opinion. It pains me to give some of those albums any points at all after seeing what didn't make the cut. Some absolute stone cold classics missed out. No Spice Girls in an ultimate pop album rate?? Good lord. Same with Echo, that should have made it over Spirit. I'm genuinely disappointed that some huge albums scored so little.
  2. Nowhere did I say it was shocking or cruel. As you've just said yourself, it was distasteful, which is precisely why I said it was unnecessary. I hardly think that's being over sensitive just for the sake of it.
  3. Why would you assume it's nothing to get offended about? You don't know who might be reading that and would be personally affected by it. It's not a silly joke, it's just a stupid comment.
  4. Was that really necessary? That event is one that I don't think it'll ever be appropriate to joke about, under any circumstances.
  5. That statement has literally no basis in fact though. Which part of her technically fantastic voice and obvious gift for songwriting indicates a lack of talent? Also, show me which other current female pop star could sell a million copies of a jazz duets album with Tony Bennett, tour it live and win a Grammy for it. The fact that she could even be considered as being more image over talent than the likes of Katy Perry is absolutely beyond me. Like her music or not (and I accept it certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea) the level of talent is glaringly obvious. And that Oscars performance is perfection. The vocal is stunning.
  6. For a while I thought you couldn't be serious. Now I'm not so sure
  7. No. The Marvel deal came after. It's so he can appear in a new reboot in 2017 set within the Marvel universe. They're not doing another origin story though, as they rightly assume that every person on the planet knows his story by now. Before that they're going to introduce him in Captain America: Civil War. So no doubt you'll find both Spider-Man appearances shit too, seeing as he'll be sharing the screen with more than one Avenger.
  8. That's definitely a mistake in my opinion. Within the next few days would have been better, to let it build some momentum.
  9. When the first chorus hit, I was disappointed. It seemed so empty, but I love how each chorus builds on the previous one to the point where it's a full, epic vocal showcase by the end of the song. I can't get enough of it. It's immense.
  10. Well I bloody love it. It's HUGE.
  11. Pre-order is up to 175 now. It's all feeling very positive at the moment.

Yeah part of me wants to pre-order to help it's performance now but on the other hand, I'd rather buy it on release day and help it climb and be visible higher up the chart then. It's making good progress now though. It has made big jumps with each update so it should be top 200 soon. Hopefully the first play and video should help it get top 100 for a little while.
  13. Leona up to 343 now. Making good progress. Hopefully it gets a big boost after the first play this morning. Release date on the pre-order also says June 7th, not the 21st, so it looks like it has been brought forward.
  14. I like the song, it's harmless enough, but it's not bowling me over. She has a bloody fantastic voice, which is stronger now than it was back in her Fame Academy days and she deserves to do well, but I can't imagine her having any commercial success in the UK with this. I shamelessly loved her version of Starships on X Factor too.
  15. Marry The Night is one of the best song/video combos ever for me. The song is all kinds of elegant, thundering, epic amazingness. Her voice is stunning (as always) and the way it builds to that final chorus makes me weak at the knees. It is literally perfect. Also, I couldn't imagine any of her peers attempting a song like this. There's a certain kind of maturity in the sound here that's so unlike anything else even she's done before or since. As for the video, I know some people don't like the introduction, but I do. There's some really striking imagery in there and it builds perfectly to those incredible, crunching synths. Gives me goosebumps. The dance sequence is great, the outfits are gorgeous and it just fits the song down to the ground. I'm not sure I can come up with any more adjectives to describe how I feel about Marry The Night. It's a f***ing masterpiece.
  16. Hulk has to go first. It's easily the worst, followed closely by the 1st Cap Am and Iron Man 2. I love both Thor movies so hope they stay in for a bit.

  18. No real surprises for me so far. There would have been something wrong if the Transformers and Twilight movies hadn't gone out first. Bit surprised at Despicable Me 2 finishing so low though. I thought it was a great sequel. Not a patch on the first one, but certainly a million miles better than some of the movies still to come.
  19. Rejoice! Please be true.

  22. So pleased that Robyn's getting some attention. She is amazing. One of the best live performers I've had the pleasure of seeing. The crowd went OFF when the opening beats of Dancing On My Own kicked in. She's got a real gift at writing heartbreaking lyrics but putting them to completely euphoric music. Call Your Girlfriend is immense and Do It Again was a monster of a song too. It's criminal that it didn't peak higher.
  23. Well not really. If they do actually follow the iTunes chart, they'll have already seen the effect of their pre-orders when the song is showing up for weeks before release. I like that the pre-orders aren't added again on release. It makes much more sense and it's more interesting to watch songs actually climbing the chart. However, I'm a bit unclear as to what stage the pre-order sales do actually get added? Do the first midweeks show them or will they be a complete unknown until the final sales figures are released at the end of the week? Does that mean that if a new release is number 2 on the Friday chart update, it's possible it'll overtake when pre-order sales get added at the cut off point on Saturday night? That makes it quite exciting, particularly for those songs that have built up really strong pre-order sales but only make it to number 2 overall during the week. Means they could overturn quite a big gap when they're added in. Does that even make sense? I feel like I'm babbling now.
  24. Toy Story 3 is literally perfect in my eyes. It's not only Pixar's best it's in my top 10 of all time. Absolutely fantastic movie. It looks stunning, it's funny (there's a lot in there for adults!) and it's genuinely moving.
