  1. Yeah it was big over there. Only made 50-something here though. That was a reworked version of the track. She'd recorded it about 10 years earlier and had been gigging it the whole time. The original version is better IMO. The instrumental was completely different and has a more trance feel, as opposed to the housey newer version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtR94RvF13k Although I do also like the ballad version she released.
  2. I remember that. Forever is a tune and a half. Angel isn't one of my favourites though. Her 2nd album, Mastermind, is amazing. Shame she never really took off here. She was signed to AATW for a while before it all went down the toilet. Although the single bombed, the video she released for her cover of Sex On Fire is absolute filth, and so naturally totally incredible  Ooft, just found the video of her doing Killin' Time on TOTP. What a song.
  3. Mysterious Times is really amazing, but it's really special to me too. That introduced me to Tina Cousins, who I then became utterly obsessed with. Met her a few times and still have a picture she signed for me and my partner to wish us good luck for the wedding. She also sent me signed CD singles from Australia. She was huge over there. Not that she sold enough to appear in this countdown but she had 2 top 20's as a soloist here (Pray and Killin' Time) and 2 top 10's with Sash! (Mysterious Times and Just Around The Hill). Amazing voice and she's released 2 brilliant dance albums in the UK. She's just signed another deal, so hopefully she'll have a new single out soon. Anyhoooooo, can't remember how much Mysterious Times sold, but I'm starting to think it won't be in this chart :(
  4. It's a shame this era hasn't really played out for Gaga as, when you take away all the stuff that has most likely put some people off, the majority of the album is brilliant. G.U.Y is great and the video is fantastic. I had a glimmer of hope for it when it appeared in our top 100 for a few days, but it's a shame it has dropped so low now. Oh well. I'm still looking forward to the tour and to see what she comes up with next. Idina's still powering on. She'll have two versions top 40 in the next update and she's so close to being top 10 combined. I hope she can keep up the momentum into next week and get at least one week in the top 10. What a chart run the song has had.
  5. Feel like a broken record but I can't believe Idina is so close to top 10 when combined. She's not showing any signs of slowing up either. Amazing.

Jesus, I know I suggested this, but I almost instantly regretted it haha. It's so difficult!! Thanks for going to the trouble to do it though. Right, here goes.... 10.0 Aladdin - Absolutely adore this. Great characters, amazing songs and it's very funny. 07.5 Alice in Wonderland - Loved this as a kid, but I suspect that's because I didn't really get how dark it was. It's very good, but not my fave. 05.0 Bambi - Good for what it is, but I doubt I'd ever watch it again. Just doesn't really do it for me. 11.0 Beauty And The Beast - Perfection. It's utterly fantastic. The animation, the songs, the characters - all superb. Absolute classic. 04.0 Bolt - Only seen it once but that was enough for me. Found it quite dull. 03.0 Brother Bear - Yawn. Extremely boring but not quite their worst. 03.0 Chicken Little - As above. There's nothing in this film that makes me ever want to watch it again. 06.5 Cinderella - Far from the best Classic movie, but it has a charm about it. 02.0 Dinosaur - This is in the Brother Bear/Chicken Little boring group for me I'm afraid. 08.0 Dumbo - It's heartbreaking in parts and very dark, but it's gorgeous, and because it's so short it holds up to repeat viewings easily. -1.0 Fantasia /Fantasia 2000 - I absolutely detest Fantasia. I have never understood the appeal. Awful. 10.0 Frozen - High score, but it's so good. They got it so right with Frozen. 09.5 Hercules - Brilliant. I love Hercules to bits. It's very underrated. I'd forgotten how funny it was. Absolutely superb. 01.0 Home On The Range - God, seriously? No, no, no. 06.5 Lady and The Tramp - I see why this is so loved, but it's not my favourite. It's very sweet but just not very interesting to me. 09.0 Lilo & Stitch - Stitch is one of my favourite Disney characters. Brilliant film. 07.0 Mulan - Nice, but blah. 04.0 Oliver & Company - I'm struggling to remember much about this, which isn't a good sign. I know I don't want to watch it again though. 06.0 One Hundred and One Dalmatians - Like this one. Cruella's another great character. 07.5 Peter Pan - Another good one. Really charming. 06.5 Pinocchio - Difficult one this. Think it depends on my mood. There was always something about this film that I found a bit unsettling. 06.0 Pocahontas - Gorgeous film with a couple of great songs, but it has never been a favourite. A little boring. 07.5 Robin Hood - This was my favourite as a kid. It's so much fun. This is probably totally overlooked by most folk. 09.5 Sleeping Beauty - Fantastic. Loved it growing it and probably love it more now. Maleficent is up there with the best Disney villains. 08.0 Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs - Brilliant. Proper classic. It never ages either. 08.5 Tangled - Loved it. Really funny, exciting and gorgeous. 07.0 Tarzan - Good, not amazing. Far from terrible though. 04.5 The Aristocats - One of the ones I liked as a kid, but can't enjoy now. Hasn't aged well. XX.X The Brave Little Toaster - I've never heard of this! XX.X The Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars - See above. 06.5 The Emperor's New Groove - Only seen it once but sure I enjoyed it. Would watch again out of curiosity. 04.0 The Fox and The Hound - Sweet, but belongs in its day. 07.0 The Hunchback Of The Notre Dame - Not a terrible movie at all, just quite a distance from their best. 08.0 The Jungle Book - Only just watched this again recently. Still enjoyed it, it's great fun. 10.0 The Lion King - Almost as good as it gets really. Was devastated at THAT bit when I was a young'un!! Those songs though - WOW! 05.5 The Lion King II: Simba's Pride - Didn't do it for me at all. Cheap attempt to ride off the coat tails of the first one. 08.5 The Little Mermaid - Great. Fab songs, great characters and it's friggin beautiful. 04.0 The Princess and the Frog - Not for me. Just didn't really enjoy it that much. 05.0 The Rescuers - I'm reaching here. Can only vaguely remember it. 09.0 The Sword in The Stone - LOVE! Madam Mim is amazing. Really brilliant. 08.5 Wreck It Ralph - Really enjoyed this. Would easily watch it again. Loved all the references to the games of my youth.
  7. Let It Go is now close to 12. That's amazing. I'd LOVE for this to go top 10. It'll probably start running out of steam now that I've said that.
  8. Really? Nobody has come remotely close to him on iTunes and he just keeps increasing on radio. I can see him getting another few weeks yet.
  9. Idina's very close to number 13 when combined I think. If I'm not mistaken, that's her highest position so far. What a crazy chart run this song has! Good for her. I've been an Idina fan for years. It's amazing to see her in our top 20 and getting a genuinely big hit.
  10. Idina's definitely seeing a benefit to the DVD release of Frozen anyway. She's had a couple of really good updates. She could well go top 20 again.
  11. That makes absolutely no sense at all. The video has a clear message. It's not some throwaway pop music video, despite the humour, bright colours and outlandish set pieces. Underneath that, there's a linear story regarding her recent problems with her management. This ties in perfectly with the meaning of the actual song - just because she hasn't been the one calling all the shots all of the time, that's ok because she's really the one in charge, from a seemingly submissive position. It works perfectly. I'm not really sure exactly what you were looking for in terms of substance. As far as actual meaning and real commentary on things that are happening outside of the music video, she's really got it all in there. Of all the criticism people could come up with, no substance is not one that can be used in this situation.
  12. It's crazy and brilliant. She looks absolutely incredible and every inch a superstar and the choreography is killer. A second Vevo upload of just the G.U.Y part is a must though surely.

I'd love it, it would be amazing, but my head's hurting just at the thought of trying to decide my favourites. Sweet jesus, it's going to be impossible.

Really enjoyed this, thanks for doing it. I largely agree with the final results and definitely agree with the winner. I though the other day that a rate of the original Disney Classics would be good, but even without the sequels there's so many of them. I forgot half of them ever existed.

This is still consistently the best show on TV. The acting is superb. Elsbeth is amazing. She should be in every episode.

Oh my god, this so difficult!!! 1. Angelina Jolie Whoopi Goldberg Vera Farmiga Cate Blanchett Meryl Streep Jessica Lange Kathy Bates Jennifer Lawrence Jennifer Garner Sandra Bullock Good god. I could rewrite that list all day long and still never settle on it. Even as I'm typing this, I'm coming up with more names. Wow. So many amazing actresses. The Most Talented : Angelina Jolie The Most Underrated : Vera Farmiga - I find her infinitely watchable. She doesn't need to try at all. It's so natural. The Most Sexy : From a gay man's point of view, I think there's something about Jolie, Lawrence and Garner. The Most Untalented: Kristen "one emotion" Stewart The Most Irritating : Kristen again Funny As Hell : Jennifer Lawrence/Whoopi/Melissa McCarthy

I've not got much to add to what everyone else has already said about those two movies. They're utterly fantastic. The opening sequence of Up is astonishingly well done. It's the closest I've ever come to genuine tears watching a Pixar movie. Similarly, the incinerator scene in Toy Story 3 almost got me again. Totally superb. I'm hoping for a Nemo win personally, but either of the remaining two deserve it. The top 4 in fact were all deserving. Perfection.

I think the order of the results matches my ratings, give or take 1 or 2 perhaps. Good to know my taste isn't completely off the wall. And I also like that I've got a quote on each result so far. Simple things and all that.... :P
  19. Really pleased Sanna won over Ace. And I'm happy with Alcazar's 3rd too. Not too shabby at all.
  20. I don't even understand what is happening here. Is this last year's Swedish entry?
  21. Right so what happens next? Is it a Swedish phone vote?
  22. Not enjoying the lack of Alcazar love.
  23. I love living in the UK. We are amazing.
  24. No points for Alcazar!!! Jesus Christ.
  25. These scores are not what I expected so far! C'mon Alcazar!
