Steps - Charts Discussion Thread
Is that from the Youtube official video? That doesn't make sense at all, it's on well over 200k views, all within this chart week. There's no way only 3k of them are UK views. No way. Not that it'd make a huge difference to their overall position, as it'd probably only equate to a couple of hundred extra sales. I'm really disappointed in those sales. We know they sold less than 2k last week, while they were iTunes number 1, as WAP sold 2k and was 3 spots higher on the sales chart. So, just over 4k sales in nearly a week? That's so low.

Wentworth Prison (UK Pace)
Oh I just saw one of the photos from the final days of filming. Massive potential but exciting spoilers...

Wentworth Prison (UK Pace)
You're talking about episode 2. It was pretty good. It's episode 3 that's god awful.

Wentworth Prison (UK Pace)
I'm just surprised they went for such a filler episode when the seasons are already so short. I'm hoping that's not a sign that there's not an awful lot of story to tell this time. It just made no sense to set up what they did at the end of season 2, only to then spend a whole episode focusing on

What the f**k was this week's episode? Absolute filler, and didn't even mention the major cliffhanger from episode 2. It served no purpose whatsoever. If you removed this episode from the whole season, it would make absolutely no difference whatsoever. I'm so confused.

What should be the 3rd single from Chromatica?
I'd love Sine From Above but I've got a feeling it won't get the single treatment. I think they'll go with Sour Candy, which is one of my least favourites, but I can understand why they'd go with it. I need an other-worldly, ethereal and visually stunning video for that. The imagery is right there in the lyrics. I'll be devastated if it's only an album track. Being stuck towards the end of the album, it won't pick up as many casual listens, and it'll be forever under-appreciated. "Yeah, I looked With my face up to the sky But I saw nothing there No, no, nothing there Yeah, I stared While my eyes filled up with tears But there was nothing there No, no, nothing I heard one sine from above I heard one sine from above Then the signal split in two The sound created stars like me and you Before there was up, there was silence I heard one sine And it healed my heart, heard a sine" Honestly, the absolute excellence in this lyric/melody combo is stunning, and is one of my favourite things she has EVER done. And the harmony when they both sing it the second time - woo lord. Album highlight.

Friday Chart Predictions
Really? Gaga's fans managed to get Stupid Love to the top 5, and Rain on Me is a better track. I was slightly underwhelmed at first, but it grew on me so quickly and the video sealed the deal. It's a banger.

Friday Chart Predictions
I'll be gutted if the ladies don't get number 1 with this. Although it's off to a rock solid start, I've got an awful feeling they'll still be number 1 on Thursday's update but lose it by Friday.

Schitt's Creek
It took me two attempts to get through the first season, about 3 months apart. I just didn't get it the first time. But for whatever reason, it just clicked the second time and I rattled through it. What a fantastic little show. There was so much to love and so many moments that melted my heart. And rarely have I seen such a meme-worthy show. Catherine O'Hara with that accent is absolutely iconic. Moira Rose is now one of my favourite characters ever. She uttered some dialogue that, on paper, sounds absolutely preposterous, but worked wildly well. My two absolute favourite scenes are Patrick singing Simply The Best to David, and then David lip syncing for his life to Patrick. I normally hate people singing to their loved ones like that - cringe - but, my god, it was so pure. And Dan Levy was an absolute hoot. The facial expressions, the reactions, the coming timing - what a star. What a brilliant show.

Russia · Eurovision Song Contest 2020
This is incredible. I love everything about it. The absolute deadpan faces have me screaming. It's just genius. Live performance is good too. I don't want them to change anything. I want those outfits and that staging for the actual show. Although I'm aware they'll need to lose someone as it's 6 people max on stage. KzeynKQiEE4

The Masked Singer • Series 1
Enjoyed this, as expected. So it's 100% Nicola for the Bee. Her voice is unmistakable and even through the distortion you could hear the accent. But her singing voice is so distinct, it just is her. Also, someone on Twitter picked up the clue about being called a wildcard - Nicola was apparently brought back as a wildcard on Popstars.

Just heard Alanis' new song. It's pretty dull. She still sounds roughly the same to me. But she stole that whole piano riff from the opening note onwards, from Lady Gaga's Look What I Found. It's not even subtle. I heard it within 2 seconds. It's almost identical.

The X Factor: Celebrity
I'm still watching because it's easy, leave your brain at the door, stuff. But jesus wept this is tragic. Martin and Vinnie are beyond dreadful. And I don't know what other people are hearing in Jenny's voice as it's going right through me. She literally shouts like she's dropped her larynx so much that it's giving this weird possessed sound. There's no tuning or melody in there, it's so awful. Kevin impressed me hugely last week, after being underwhelmed by him. He brought it in a big way. Megan and V5 are also brilliant. Victoria was absolutely robbed.

The Circle • Series 2
I'd prefer Sammie to have just aligned with Georgina. If only for the drama seeing as she's also trying to figure out who the catfish are. Or even better, get properly in with Woody etc and take them down from within. But also because I'm not overly fond of Paddy, who will no doubt go zero to 100 in 3 seconds next time he has an opportunity to be snide to someone in group chat. Sammie has played the game really well. He came in prepared and he hasn't dropped the ball when it comes to the answers he's given. I'm also still finding him hilarious in his reaction moments. And I do like Ella and Woody as people, I'm just bored of the giant love-in now. It's really not interesting to watch them constantly tell each other how amaaaaaaaaazing they are. I want gameplay and tactics. And Tim can get in the bin now after Thatcher.

The Circle • Series 2
Jan is so dull and a total waste of a space. I'd rather have kept Joyce over her. I do still like Ella, but I'm over all the brown nosing between her, Woody and Tim. I want scheming and plotting. I am 100% here for savage Sammie. James is hilarious.

The Circle • Series 2
I actually really like Beth now. Shame it wasn't Josh, who absolutely must be the next one to go.
-
The Circle • Series 2
Disappointed it's Woody. He's not going to make a controversial decision. It'll either be Joyce and Josh. Sammie or Ella would have definitely blocked one of the frontrunners.

The Circle • Series 2
I have a bit of a problem with Busayo's motives, purely because it makes no sense. She says she wanted to prove that a young, single, white male would be more popular than she would be as herself. But what's her basis for comparison. Had she already been in The Circle and blocked early, and then gone back in as Josh, I'd understand it. But as it stands, how does she know "Josh" is proving more popular than she would have? She might have been instantly liked by everyone. She'll never know, making her theory baseless. What has become clear is that Busayo is boring. She hasn't given "Josh" one ounce of personality and is instead just playing him as a cardboard cut out stereotype. She has no imagination and hasn't come across as very likeable at all. As for using Brooke as an example, you can't do that either, just because she's also a young, black woman. They're very different. Brooke had genuinely good moments, and that was reflected when she climbed up the rankings. But overall, she was as dull as ditch water if you look at only her replies in Circle Chat. We might have seen a reasonably sassy, fun side to her, but nobody else did. I'm not surprised she was blocked. EDIT: T Boy, you replied first while I was typing this, but we clearly feel the same about this. For me, the most entertaining are Ella, Woody and Sammie. All have bags of personality. I actually prefer James to "Sammie" as he's hilarious when he's talking about people for us. I genuinely hope he gets to be super influencer, just for the reaction of whoever he blocks. But I've got a funny feeling we're looking at Georgina blocking Tim. I just hope that they get told they need to block someone and need to make the choice and then find out they have to do it in person, so they're more likely to be really honest with the choice.

Britain's Got Talent: The Champions
The amount of track and pitch correction on Bars and Melody's performance was outrageous. They basically sounded like robots on the parts they did utter a sound, over the obvious track playing. No other singer would get away with that. What a load of crap. I'd have rather Collabro went through over them. Their vocals were outstanding, even if I felt they needed a deeper voice in there to give it a bit more depth at times. But I couldn't fault the harmonies, they were impeccable. I've seen Alex a few times now and I really struggle with him. Obviously it's really incredible what he does, but I don't find it fun to watch. He'd have still been more deserving than Bars and Melody though.

Round 7 • Black Mirror Survivor
I always see Playtest really low on rankings. I saw a fairly well respected publication putting it dead last. Madness. It's so underrated, I've never understood why people didn't love it.

Round 7 • Black Mirror Survivor
I feel personally offended that someone voted for San Junipero. I'm going to find this nearly impossible over the next few rounds. Some of these are truly some of the best episodes of any show, ever.
