  1. If you added Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, that would be my pick, as it was always intended to be one movie. It works so much better as a single, 4 hour epic, with some little adjustments here and there. I wish he'd do a blu-ray release, as the only one that ever got out is VHS quality.
  2. The band sound incredible when playing it live. The last half is :yahoo: u0ntRdqcs4M
  3. I'm shocked DITD is winning this. It's a good song, but it doesn't even touch Marry The Night for me. That song is a behemoth. It's thunderous, epic, euphoric and probably one of the best song/video combos of all time. I couldn't imagine any of her peers convincingly pulling a song like that off. What an achievement and it'll forever be underrated in her discography.

Yep, I instantly hated them both. Gene gave me the major creeps. They're hideous. But their hotel is unquestionably impressive, albeit with some odd choices in room layout. As for Jay or Justin. Both. The answer is both. At the same time. Woo lord.
  5. Smithereens and Black Museum for me. I maybe need to watch Museum again, but I was thoroughly underwhelmed by it. Though admittedly I don't remember that much about it now, other than the ending. It says something that everything above Museum on that list is now A+ material. I have no idea how I'm going to choose between some of them over the later rounds. The 2 newer ones will be the next to go for me, even though I did enjoy them.
  6. Smithereens for me. So dull. Save from good performances, there was no point in any of it. I thought we were going to get a twist of him wanting the CEO to access that dead girl's account to delete her messages as he was the one who'd caused her to commit suicide and he was freaking out the mum would eventually figure out the password and find out. The actual ending just felt....nothingy.

Woo lord that episode took me through the wringer. I'm thinking he

Doesn't bother me I'm watching it at Aus pace! I was more thinking about anyone else that might venture in here, not expecting spoilers because it's titled "UK pace". I can't wait to see the fallout of episode 4. It's weird, as I'm always hesitant at the start of a new season because I think they surely must run out of steam soon and it surely can't keep getting better. But they always find a way to shock us and keep us absolutely hooked.

Oh I didn't know it had even started in the UK. I thought it was months and months later it came on here. That's not so bad then.

Also, this thread is titled UK pace but it seems like the majority of people who actually post here are watching it at Aus pace. So we really should be putting absolutely everything in spoilers. Unless the thread is split, or renamed.

I'm a proper Meat Loaf fan so I'm totally biased, but that really was a brilliant video. That and Haddaway to win.

I have mixed feelings. It was jaw-droppingly shocking. But this will have such a huge impact -

It's really good and definitely worth a watch. Too short though.

Sadly this isn't enough to boost it past Avatar. It's not being re-released or anything, it's still in theatres. There's no talk of it expanding the theatre count either. I think it'll just be a the Katherine Langford deleted scene (or maybe one that shows where Gamora went after the battle) and a Stan Lee tribute. It's so close to Avatar, it's painful. After this weekend, it'll be less than $40m but it's already out of nearly all theatres internationally so there's just no more money to be made. It'll scrape another $10m out of the US but that's it.
  15. I feel lucky to have seen all her tours. It's only Enigma that I won't see. She is by far the most dynamic and talented live performer I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of gigs. The Born This Way Ball was my favourite, just for the sheer scale of it. That castle went from imposing and bleak to animated and almost a character all on its own in the blink of an eye. Absolutely stunning piece of stage design. I'll forever be devastated that tour wasn't filmed. The footage on Youtube is fine, but it just doesn't do it justice.

Season 2 went completely off the rails unfortunately. It was absolutely ludicrous and much of the season made absolutely no sense whatsoever. The 2 ladies are still immensely watchable, but this should have been a (slightly longer) single season deal, with a proper ending.
  17. Not entirely. There are certain songs that were never live on that tour. Who Do You Think You Are was mimed then and was definitely not entirely live last night (at least not the verses anyway). Hoping they get a bit more confident and go fully live for the rest of the tour. I'm pretty sure Earls Court is the only time they've done a concert 100% live. Unless Istanbul was before they dubbed it afterwards.
  18. Well, yes and no to that. There was a lot of miming involved. Not everything, as they very clearly sang a lot live too. But it was track heavy in places, with whole verses and bridges mimed in some songs.
  19. I love the new track it's so typically them. The video is absolutely excellent too. The eye-roll after Marcy was holding the guy's hand on the pool table sent me. Brilliant stuff. The Graham Norton performance wasn't Marcy's best vocal at all, but she sounded scared. I'm sure she was very nervous. It was like she was just too scared to let her voice go. That is also a fiendishly difficult song to sing. I just really enjoyed seeing them together again.
  20. Netta got to 16 at about 3pm the day after the show, with a couple of other versions in the top 200.
  21. They can definitely shave some time from the presenters. Actually having the information they need, when they need it will help. There's an awful lot of improv and filling going on at crucial moments (it doesn't help when some presenters just don't have the skills to pull this off). I'd prefer the representatives to have a set time limit - enough to have a quick bit of banter or a joke and then give the points and be gone. Some of them take way too long. The interval is also ridiculously long. The suggestion above about looking at when the votes tail off is a good one. They could definitely cut some time there, and have just one main interval act and not a whole variety show going on. It should be so easy to cut 30 minutes from the show as a minimum.
  22. Absolutely living for KEiiNO winning the televote after getting royally screwed by those ridiculous juries and now being the best selling entry. Justice is served.

I haven't listened to these yet, I'll do it later, but just wanted to say that Potential Breakup Song is one of my absolute favourite pop songs. It's a banger and the chorus is killer.
  24. I couldn't be less shocked at that. As soon as I heard they were already all theatre kids, I said to my other half they're definitely already known to people. They were invited to audition and Simon probably already knew them. His questions before they performed were not convincing at all. I didn't like them. It was noisy and messy and the singer's voice has no character to it. It's not appealing at all. As for the magician, I liked him but that audience member was the worst actress. She spoiled that as her rehearsed shock and looking around was so cringe. I'm assuming twins that can get themselves into pretty small spaces (the base of the cage). But I still enjoyed it because he's got great stage presence and confidence about him.
  25. Neither were good, but the aerialist/singer was absolutely awful. I cringed so hard I chipped a tooth. As for the Dutch girls, they ruined that trick with stupid camera angles. We could see the boxes and cages extended well beyond the fake wall, but the audience wouldn't have been able to see that. It would have looked more impressive for them. It was still very basic though.
