Goodbye was as high as #127 on iTunes yesterday. Today the GH single edit of Wannabe is at #199 on UK iTunes and spice girls is still tending on the search bar

The new figure as of 2021 is 90m which seems more realistic but seeing as every country counts streaming units in a different way the 100m figure could be streams included. We don’t know their streaming totals put together.

I agree these are some of the stories we’ve read about and maybe only the fan base really knew about them, but it’s nice that this documentary has been made so that a wider audience gets an understanding of what they actually went through. The episode also made me a little angry and when you think what presenters, journalists and newspapers got away with was terrible. Ideally what I’d also like for their 25th anniversary would be similar to the GYE documentary career story but more like the VF music where there are more personal stories about those early days in the studio and actually how they made their music.

Billboard magazine had the total down as 718,000+ by March, 1997. By April, 1997 it went 4x Platinum (800k) and according to the official spice girls magazine’s August 1997 issue it had sold 1 million.

The documentary was watched by 850,000 viewers on C4. I don't know the channel's average viewership for a documentary at 9pm on a weekday but I was hoping for a million at least.

Nice few streaming updates coming soon post wise (I'll keep a few as a surprise as I keep an eye on things) ;) 2B1 hit 90 million streams on Spotify this week. It does 1.8m a month, so if it continues with it's average it'll get to 100m by the end of January 2022. However with Spice25 coming out in October and the single's 25th anniversary in December that may happen a lot quicker. Also, the Spice album will reach 900m streams in about a week and fingers crossed by Spring 2022 it reaches 1 billion (maybe a little faster with the anniversary) As for other singles, SYBT is the nearest to 100m after 2B1, and again, going by its average, it should get there by September 2022 (fingers crossed the anniversary gets it there a little quicker) Their YouTube channel will be crossing 1 billion views later this week, so some of these new stats will look so much better :cheer:
