  1. The Fame is at #91 on the UK albums chart this week. The Fame spends it 196th week in the Top 100
  2. I’m afraid I’m going to have to second this. Not that everything they’ve ever done as solo artists is crap but I really wish they’d commit to ‘group activities’ when they’re together and active.
  3. If Rain On Me and Born This Way cross the 1m unit barrier Gaga will have 7 millionaires  Thank you Jay for the update.
  4. 30 Million views for "Spice Up Your Life" on YouTube :cheer: 9wfpXI5PKlw
  5. Spice Girls filmed the 'Wannabe' video 25 years ago today
  6. Wannabe has reached 570m streams and Stop has reached 94m on Spotify Wannabe does between 10-10.5m streams a month and Stop does around 2m which means they will both reach 700m and 100m respectively in the middle of July; just at the time of the 25th anniversary :cheer:
  7. Me too. Top 5 in the first midweek. Then an 8-10 position towards the end and then charting at No.11 😭 If Emma had reached the top 10 then there would have been a top 10 solo spice album in the 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s :(
  8. Such a shame that the album isn’t platinum yet
  9. Yes the photographer shared some of these on Saturday on Instagram but I’m wondering if he’s teasing or just putting an idea out there? 🤔 Christophe did some really ‘iconic’ shoots, would love to see them all in a lovely book
  10. I really want to post the wannabe pics on the anniversary of when the video was made (April 19) if anyone comes across them please let me know. Also trying to locate the source/person who posted them.
  11. Future Nostalgia is the biggest selling album of 2021 so far. OCC article
  12. It’s really difficult to pick just one. I have many for different reasons but I’m so proud of their international success as a British act and as a girl group. They were so incredibly successful across the globe and no one has done it quite like them since. Also I’m really proud of their 3 Christmas No.1s - I know they achieved so much but I’ve always been proud of this achievement.
  13. Headlines wasn’t released during the streaming era. Also if Spotify had existed for the Spice Girls first solo eras, for example, they’d obviously have a higher play count. Like any artist 20 years into their career they’ll never gain the streams that say Drake, Ed or Ariana would get.
  14. I’m really surprised this is a surprise to people. Simon Cowell isn’t interested in artists he’s only interested in making money. So many artists and groups over the years have been in similar positions. Virtually every 90s pop group was chewed up and spat out and walked away with hardly any money, which isn’t exactly the point as people are talking about control and contracts. 1D and LM however are probably better off financially compared to other pop groups and XFactor acts, but this toxic environment has been going on for decades in the music industry. I feel sorry for these artists because often they ‘legally’ can’t speak out.
  15. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know that :cheeseblock:
  16. I’ve only used it on my iPhone and iPad. Even with a free account (providing you’ve got Spotify installed on your PC)?
  17. Well all of these girl groups have been around first time in the streaming era and benefited from it, compared to SG, DC, TLC etc who have sold more CDs and downloads
  18. Possible. I think the first BP album was an EP. I’m not sure about the totals of most girl group albums as you can only see the numbers for the most popular 10 tracks.
  19. Little Mix, Fifth Harmony and BlackPink I believe have all had albums over 1 billion
  20. Over 800m streams for the Spice album on Spotify. It did 100m in just 6 months. Will definitely get to 900m by October. Hopefully with the 25th anniversary this year it'll get it to 1b a little quicker than usual.
  21. I Turn To You Never Be The Same Again When You’re Gone A pretty iconic trio of hits for Melanie and I would say still remembered by the public. I’ve heard NBTSA on radio a few times recently which is nice
  22. Hard to believe some of their iconic solo hits are all turning 20! I still remember getting this from Woolworths. A timeless pop classic.
  23. It was 465,000 in May 2020 and now it’s 477,000. 12k in just 11 months 😊
