  1. Look out for some Spice Girls Net posts on Monday regarding sales ;)
  2. Spice went 4x Platinum in Japan in the April of 1997 (800,000) That was 24 years ago, hasn’t been updated since and I can imagine they sold more copies during the rest of 1997, 1998 plus downloads and streaming units
  3. Does your friend at FIMI have any access to sales totals?
  4. Not sure how reliable this source is. It's a French music site with sales of Europe's Best Selling albums (updated in 2009) and some albums have been released since like Adele's 21 (10x Plat in Europe for 10m) 22. Spice (9,370,000) 106. Spiceworld (5,340,000) Best selling albums in Europe
  5. Quite a few of these music videos are doing slightly better than expected and are now due to reach these milestones on this date Wannabe - 500m (Feb 10) Too Much - 20m (March 3) Say You'll Be There - 80m (March 24) Spice Up Your Life - 30m (April 21) Mama - 20m (May 24) Let Love Lead The Way - 6m (June 24) :kink: Viva Forever - 50m (Aug 20) Goodbye - 20m (December 20)
  6. Yay! :cheer:
  7. I have a question, Jay. Say you download a song off a Spice Girls/solo album (which counts as a sale) if you download the other 9-12 tracks at a different time does that album get a 'sale' too? Thanks
  8. Definitely better to buy songs induvially (at least they'll count as a sale) :)
  9. Slightly off topic but the BRITs certified Twitter page posted their usual Friday posts and it really bugs me that they never gave ‘STOP’ a tweet back in 2020, considering it was only a year after the tour and it’s pretty iconic and the only release between 96-00 to not reach #1 Even Black Eyed Peas got a post today from their 2003 single and surprise, surprise Ed Sheeran has another multi platinum single (4x Plat thanks to massively inflated streaming numbers)
  10. Hoping that everyone is still streaming the song and watching the music video
  11. Thank you, Jay for the breakdown. Much appreciated :) I wish they'd done a full sales update. Fingers crossed we get a SG one in July.
  12. NBTSA is the best seller but on streaming it goes NBTSA - 18.4 million ITTY - 22.6 million (Both the album version and Hex Hector remix)
  13. Increase in sales (the old figures were posted by the OCC in June 2017 What I Am - 10k (3.5 years) What Took You So Long - 26k (3.5 years) What I Am 224,000 (June 2017) 234,000 (January 2021) What Took You So Long 269,000 (June 2017) 295,000 (January 2021)
  14. Increase in sales (the old figures were posted by the OCC in June 2017 What I Am - 10k (3.5 years) What Took You So Long - 26k (3.5 years) What I Am 224,000 (June 2017) 234,000 (January 2021) What Took You So Long 269,000 (June 2017) 295,000 (January 2021) :cheer:
  15. What Took You So Long and the debut album are both 20 this April so maybe some casual downloading and a streaming push will help a little.
  16. Nice to see that the OCC has given us updates for WTYSL and What I Am but it would be nice if they actually listed all of the sales, there’s only 10 to post
  17. I love this woman so much. Watched it live on BBC news. I bet when she was 19 Gaga never imagined becoming the biggest pop star in the world and 12 years into her career singing at a President's Inauguration
  18. It would be a shame, that after their 2007 and 2012 documentaries, if we didn't get any interviews for their 25th anniversary. Yes to some kind of new release because naturally that would help to boost their back catalogue and give fans something new to stream to coincide with such a big anniversary.
  19. I definitely think we as fans should come up with our own initiatives (i.e. streaming parties, downloading parties etc to celebrate)
  20. It does between 10-11k units per month (on average in the UK) so if that continues they’ll reach 2 million units with ‘Wannabe’ in May/June 2021
  21. When an older artist has released a new album or has had a birthday recently the OCC has published full singles sales and most streamed songs in the UK for said particular artists. Fingers crossed we get that in July for Wannabe’s anniversary
  22. Yes I would causally go into a HMV and buy spice or the GH again. As for the anniversaries it would be great if they restocked Spice and not just 3/4 copies. I really wish Spiceworld wasn’t out of print. I know there’s more of an incentive to buy the GH but casual listeners and newer fans will always gravitate towards any artist’s GH album. However with the Olympics, reunions etc Spiceworld would have benefited from some trickle cd sales shame it’ll probably never reach 6x Platinum (I could rant about this all day) 😂
  23. It should always be no more than £5 it baffles me when they make it higher. ABBA’s Gold is always in the Top 100 album chart most weeks and on iTunes for 4.99
