It shows how massive Spice was at 3m for the media to call Spiceworld a flop sometimes (1.6m) and of course it’s the second best-selling girl group album after Spice. The idea of adding extra songs, deluxe editions wasn’t really a thing in the 90s. If it had been they would have re released Spiceworld again for the same amount of money and only added ‘Goodbye’ 😄

The alternative video for ‘Stop’ has reached 500,000 views on YouTube

The Stop alternative video is at 490k views and will reach 500k on either Mon or Tue. Pretty amazing doing half a million views in just 4 weeks. Some of the Istanbul/Wembley videos are between 500-900k and have been on their channel since 2019. So when you put it in perspective it's done very well on the channel.

I was thinking about this literally the other day. I was watching the Wembley Stadium concert and thinking how much they’d achieved during 1996-1998. Their ages during the Wembley gig were 22-24. Crazy 🤯

Yes those sales have been on that website for many years. ‘Spiceworld’ did out peak the ‘Spice’ album in terms of chart positions. Sales wise the second album only sold more in Finland I believe.

Wannabe is at #75 on the iTunes chart in the Netherlands but by 4 sales :) Every little helps The alternative 'Stop' video has overtaken the alternative videos for Too Much, SUYL as well as the NGUOTGT, Move Over and Step To Me videos The 'Stop' video is now the 26th most watched Spice Girls video on YouTube out of 50 uploads.

It was filmed in February 1997 in either Ireland or a studio in London for an Australian TV show “Hey, Hey, it’s Saturday”.

Such a shame the album didn’t spend more weeks in the Top 10. If Celine Dion hadn’t released an album at the same time and people had just purchased the titanic soundtrack in the new year it would have had more weeks at No.1 as Spiceworld spent a few weeks at No.2

The first certification a single can get is silver which is 200k. That’s a long way off

The song has been between 55-60k for the past decade. Sadly I don't think it'll ever get to 100k

I'm so glad OCC have given us a sales update for Stop 25 :cheer: Just a shame they haven't put the entire pure sales figure which was 404k a while ago. So it must be 334k physical cd singles 70k downloads 44 million streams 776k total units
