Austrian Incest Case
The scandal deepened as more details came to light this weekend. For the first time, a relative of Fritzl's family has come forward to speak publicly about the man and his secrets. Christine R., Fritzl's sister-in-law, said in a video interview, which aired on several Austrian TV channels, that he was convicted of rape about the same time that Elisabeth was born. He served 18 months in jail for the offense in 1967, while his wife, Rosemarie, tried to keep her young family together. Christine, whose last name was not revealed, said the man was a tyrant who ruled his house like a military dictator. "He tolerated no dissent," she said in the interview. "Josef Fritzl, who was known as 'Sepp,' scared everybody in the family. I was scared myself. I never felt confident to say anything that could possibly offend him." "Sepp had a regular routine," she said. "He would go into the cellar in the morning and spend all day down there, and often he would spend the night. Questions about why he was down there for so long were banned. My sister Rosemarie was not even allowed to bring him a cup of coffee. Rosie and the kids lived in complete fear of him." Christine said the man treated his children like soldiers under his command. Everybody had to be silent when he entered the room. From http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Story?id=4788084&page=2 - if you were wondering why the mother didn't seem to understand. After Elisabeth's disappearance, her mother filed a missing person report. Almost a month later, her father handed over a letter to the police, the first of several that Elisabeth would be forced to write while in captivity. The letter was postmarked in the town of Braunau. It stated that she was staying with a friend and was tired of living with her family, warning her parents not to look for her or she would leave the country. Her father stated to police that she had most likely joined a religious sect. From the Wiki article.

"The Obama Deception"
This video was made by neither Republicans nor Democrats, for neither Republicans nor Democrats. It's for everyone, and isn't biased. They don't swing towards either political party. All they're trying to do is get the facts out. What I want to know is...why hasn't this been all over the news? eAaQNACwaLw I don't consider anyone to know anything about the American government until they've watched this film. Any opinions?

Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
Wow, sucks that you have to be 18 to see that in the UK.... I would've gone to the theatre to see it, but it wasn't playing anywhere near me. Just got the DVD though, and...geez. The music is brilliant, I LOVED that, and the acting was superb. A lot of my favorite actors were in this (Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Timothy Spall, Alan Rickman...) so I was really excited to see it, but.... I have a really weak stomach :puke2: I covered my face for a good bit of it. Overall, I still love it - as long as I don't have to watch the gory parts.

Which was the last DVD you watched?
Sweeney Todd. The music is brilliant but good Lord. xD :puke2:

The Black Parade Inc.
I'd love to be a mod, I mean, I am a bit MCR obsessed. :) Not sure what all that would entail, though, since the MCR forums aren't very popular.

Adults without children banned from park
That's ridiculous. Whatever happened to being able to trust people? Guess that went down the toilet a while back. <_<

Babylon AD
I rather enjoyed the movie, but the ending was...a little...weird. I didn't really understand why [spoiler SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER] Aurora died. Not to mention the fact that Vin Diesel is incapable of acting out any sentimental scenes without looking like a pedophile. "Hay kids. Thurr's a storm comin'. It's time to go." Overall, however, I thought this was good. Has anyone else seen it?

I think the judges have been absolutely ridiculous in gymnastics - they're favoring China, undoubtedly. Even the commentators have noticed. Also, it was CRAZY that Nastia Liukin and the little Chinese girl TIED and Nastia had to take silver. Stupid Australian judge. *curses*

I feel sure we'll do well on the track tonight :) We may have a bit of a problem edging Jamaica, but I believe we can do it. :cheer:

Oh, Phelps was amazing! It was one one-hundredth of a second, yes? Also - guess what? There are plenty of people who have been watching the Olympics purely to watch the Olympics, not to see China. *cougheveryonecough* I don't give a $h!t where they're held, I just want to watch! Anyway. I am so proud of our team! :cheer: Shawn, Nastia, and Michael are all annihilating. Dara Torres and Jonathan Horton have also done very well.

OMG WE PWNED AT GYMNASTICS! Even with insane judges. So THERE. Nastia won gold and Shawn took silver! :cheer: :yahoo:

The games aren't a disgrace. Just because CHINA could be considered a disgrace does NOT mean the games are. There are plenty of great people who have worked hard to make it there. You can't say the GAMES are a disgrace - China's political actions have nothing to do with the Olympics themselves. As for those weightlifting pics...omgah  I haven't seen ANY tennis or track and field or...well, anything other than swimming, gymnastics, a little basketball, and diving here. Oh, and a bit of water polo and canoeing or wtfever that was.

Winningest. I've heard it before; it isn't an actual word, but it's pretty common. MICHAEL PHELPS = AMAZING. :cheer: I have to admit I'm a bit frustrated with the gymnastics. I'm glad we won silver, but we had such a tough time! Ugh. And with men's...I thought it was a bit ridiculous. Our guys were doing brilliantly, were faultless, and got 15-point-somethings every time, but then the Chinese would go out of bounds and get 16-point-somethings. <_< But it seemed they didn't even expect to get bronze, since we lost the Hamm twins, but I thought we could've easily won silver.

We totally pwned men's beach volleyball this morning! Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal annihilated the Germans, and then I watched two more of our men tonight. I think our women's gymnastics are doing pretty well, all things considered. China is leading us, I believe, but we're still doing well. Having a bit of difficulty with falling off of things. BUT, we lead in total medals! China does have more gold than we do, but we've got the highest overall count. WIN! :w00t:

Hellboy 2: THe Golden Army
I didn't see the first movie, but I thought the second one was...alright. It kept my attention, even though my friend was talking to me the whole time, but I've seen much better.
