  1. There's info on Runnerz here: http://www.myspace.com/runnerzmusic And yes you're right - 25th May on Champion Records: http://www.myspace.com/championrecordsuk Great tune! :)
  2. Thanks, I'll check it out ;) Although I'm not only into retro/old stuff. I like all forms of music. Thanks for the welcome :)
  3. Would I be right in thinking that russt68 is a fellow Yazoo fan? Sorry, I'm new around here.
  4. I know lots of songs sample others, I like a lot of records that sample others - Sugababes sampling Tubeway Army's Are Friends Electric for their version of Freak Like Me is a great example of it. It's just a personal thing really cos that original song is such a classic for me. Maybe it'll open up Yazoo's music to more people though? They were pioneers of pop music in the 80s, and a lot of bands at the moment wouldn't be around if it wasn't for them. I do however agree that it was admirable of them to actually perform live on TV - lots more bands could take a leaf out of their book. I'd rather hear a live performance than watch someone miming (like they did a lot in the 80s notably).
  5. Hi all, I'm new around here. Just wanted to let you know I write a blog about music I'm listening to (doesn't everyone these days?) and that there's an artist I think needs some more exposure, as I'm loving her debut album right now: Melody Klyman - 'Sovereign' Check out her music on her website www.melodyklyman.com Fans of This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Bille Ray Martin and Massive Attack would be advised to check her out! http://www.blackwingrecords.com/images/sovereign200px.jpg
  6. Really disappointed by this, it's an ok pop song but it heavily samples one of my all-time favourite 80s song - Yazoo "Situation". 1eoLTou2kfg
  7. Love 'Pictures'! This one's taken ages to get over to the UK, but I'm glad it did!
  8. Awesome song! Love the 80s influences (I'm an 80's geek).
  9. My housemate has been listening to this non-stop lately. I need to check it out properly myself. Another one to add to the list!
  10. Not heard this yet, but I saw The Subways play as NASSfest 2008 last weekend. Thought they were ok, and definitely wanna check out more of their stuff.
